Cool, glad you got out of Bridgeport with your skin. Kenny Voight was the neighborhood drag race freak. He's been building machines since he was in his teens. Must have been a curse from the president coming to town.Yes,avoid CT.We tell good people that all the time. -
Thanks, and yes, grab those papers/manauls for me,please. Carpeting is another item I'd gladly pay for if it looks like it belongs in a refurbished car.Dirt and some stains are ok,but just don't want worn through spots or rips,etc..those carpets come out fairly easy too. If the dash is cracked, please check things like the vents and any other items that might be salvagable. Thanks again.

How much are they worth to you? I don't need those wheels at all but if I go retrieve this Brat I'm going to try to get some money back. The gas alone is making this a $250 Brat already.

I'm interested in and dress up parts like a wood steering wheel, wood or leather shift knob, and maybe some other interior parts. How was the dashboard? Did it have solid seat backs up front or did it have the coupe style seats with the hole under the headrest?I need a driver's side black w/white center coupe style. There's three 1974's in a backyard up here but the guy is tough to deal with.

here I be,home sick.... For $100 and a days effort, not bad for the east coast. Jon,did you blow up the pics and check that front valance?Looks good from here.

Sorry,I thought it would at least lower the amount he'd be shelling out.It was late.Shoot me.:-p Hey uhh,"deposit",so like that's refundable, right? As long as we don't waste or steal the tent? I will probably bring two cars if my family comes along.Or if someone from up my way comes along and drives one of the two.Either way I think there's a good chance of my cars both making it.1978 and 1982 will be represented. Matt,I'll gladly toss in what I can as soon as possible or at the meet. And I'll score some brewski and try to bring some grub.

OK OK you got me...... :-p I just registered two cars....must sleep....goodnight. And the numbers were #2402 and 2403....zzzzzzzzzz

Sounds like you've got someone in town. I'm in B'pt but it's kind of late. Options for Wed. AM: Milford Auto Recyclers if you can get yourself out to exit 35 off I-95.Call them first, obviously, but they will likely have something that will help you. Dan Perkins Subaru also off exit 35 in Milford,****talk to John in the PARTS DEPT.**** he will help you. They are right next to M.A.R. too. Plenty of local parts stores. I'll PM you my phone number, but once the day begins I might not be able to come help you out....but I can talk for a couple minutes at least.Leave a message and number if I don't answer. -
Getting to be about that time. And time for a PA yard run!!!!

What is a good repair manual for a 78 Brat?
moosens replied to Subieguy's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Factory Service Manuals are often found on eBay for well under $20. HTKYSA is on eBay right now for like $.99 starting bid,I believe. -
Need to stop the oil leaks in my 78 Brat
moosens replied to Subieguy's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
One good thing to do it to have it cleaned and then see exactly where the leaks are coming from. Just because you don't see coolant doesn't mean you don't need headgaskets.Valve cover gaskets for sure, you can count on them being soaked at the bottom and dripping a little.Oil pump and seals, get them while you can. If you smell gear oil dripping onto your exhaust you'll likely need the seals that go around the stub axles on the differential. Good luck with it. -
I'll be sure to register at least one car even if I don't go....only because it helps Matt. ...and the community at large.
