  1. Trying to raise cash for my next wave of vintage interests. And to pay Ed finally.I really need to dump off some old stock and make room....and take care of some money matters....if you really need to know. If you think my prices are too high but are interested you can approach me off the post thread. That means email or PM or phone if you have my number. My 4WD wagon can be used, and does get used in the winter without cause for alarm. It's a true workhorse with low mileage.Fully functional, the same mileage and condition that you'd pay $6,000+++ for if it were a Legacy on a dealer's lot. I'm not sure how many 86k mile cars you can get that run this well, are easy to work on,and look entirely interesting for under $6,000.My price on this wagon is firm, for now. 1978 4WD wagon - $3,800 The local dealer has offered $2,500 but I told them to look elsewhere.
  2. All located in CT.All prices FIRM 1978 4WD wagon $3,800. a little over 80k on it.Original CT car that was rustproofed with Zeibart, correctly, when new. Edit:Holding off on selling the '73. SnoWay plow $800 will need $2 switch and some time to install.Works on Stage II EA71 cars and EA81 cars for sure.Certainly could be adapted to an EA82 as well. There's more but I won't post what I can't get at yet. Don't bother posting here.Contact me through email or phone if you have my number. You either want these at the prices posted or you don't. Keep in mind that I'm a moderator here in the historic forum and I'll simply delete any post on this thread. There's NO REASON to reply here.Contact me through email or phone ONLY please. That goes for anyone seeking more pics and info, etc. too. There's enough info here to satisfy basic interest. If you're serious then stand up and speak to me directly.
  3. How many years has it been that I've asked you about any '73?? I don't know though,Andrew got one that's absolutely awsome for around what you're asking. When you're serious to sell please contact me.Thanks.
  4. Second question. Is anyone interested? The guy just lowered his price. He had them for $199 each, way too much for me.Now he's lowered them to $99,not bad,but as always I'd love to pay less. EDIT***Just saw that he does still have uncracked fenders still at $199 each.*** I'm already in possesion of one,or was it two, fiberglass fender for my '78.He had them too,but I didn't see them listed a few minutes ago.I haven't bolted one up yet.I have to imaging you'd want some rubber washers for the bolts, right?Just curious if anyone has them in use right now,or any experience with them. Now,if I can just get a hood, drop in an EJ20T......
  5. This is at least one of the companies,or peddlers, selling mats: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DashMat-1979-SUBARU-BRAT-Dash-Board-Cover-Mat_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ40017QQitemZ8012336344QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V I'd like to get one,or two.But I sure don't want to spend too much, and I won't be able to get mine untill after the new year, for sure. If your dash isn't cracked already,it probably will be.THese mats are plenty helpful in keeping your dash looking great. And,there's coverlays out there too.Much more expensive.Made to fit over your cracked dash pad.The picture sure looks great.I think at least one board member has spoken highly of the coverlay as well. Coverlay peddler: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/77-81-Subaru-Brat-Stage-II-Stand-NEW-Dash-Pad-Coverlay_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ40017QQitemZ8021512816QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I bid up to I think $65 and still didn't hit his reserve.Again,I really can't justify spending that much and don't have the cash now.I was prepared to call it a Christmas gift and use the credit card, but $65 is about my limit regardless of how the money is flowing.I think if we get at least 5 people he's GOT TO come down to $65 each. Kick it around. It's winter so no hurry,OK??Let's get a good number of folks,if possible, before negotiating. I think it's a good idea for ONE of us to contact him/them and let him know what we're up to.Maybe he'll reply with terms we can more immediately agree upon.If I had a bunch of these things laying around and they sold in dribs and drabs I'd be happy to dump off a good number of them in one shot.Quick buck beats a slow duece. Anyone interested in the '72-77 Stage I dashes please let me know through email and we'll see how many we are.I'd like a coverlay for my '73 but I haven't seen them for the early style.Plenty of mats out there.
  6. What will become of the 1300?? I'd love to have that for my '73.
  7. Nah,if you blow up the picture you can see the cracks. Thanks for thinking of me.I do now have a really nice, near 100% blue dash, but it's got the woodgrain on the face, not the way my '78 came.If perfect blue dash came up I'd probably get it and sell the woody. The new holy grail of parts for me-mint condition blue steering wheel from a Stage II.
  8. Best to just call the DMV.Have the folks check it out. See you soon.
  9. Hey if you don't use that 1400 stuff please let me know. Thanks
  10. Another thing. You being up the the rust zone had better soak the timing cover bolts well before doing this.Use PB Blaster and be sure to get the nut/bolt combo on the lower driver's side real well.Get them from the back side as best as you can.Sorry if you already know this. Good luck.
  11. THe was a timing belt kit on eBay recently.Shows up once in a while. For around $65 plus shipping you get the belts and the tensioner pulleys, and I believe the idler cam too.Get yourself the cam seals and O-rings for the cam seal holder.Do it all and sleep comfy for 60k +
  12. I doubt it's a scam. He's got a high price, why bother wasting time talking to us about it.Either we pay that price or he re-lists it a little lower.First timers can be funny. And of course, you never know, maybe he's NOT a first timer and scamming.:-\ This is not the first 70's Subaru, not a 360,that's been listed for over $8,000.As I recall, the red wagon in NH (not the ff1 in MA) that I saw while on vacation was indeed parked infront of a dealer with a $10,000 price tag,but the dork inside said they'd take $6,500,but no lower. Think with your head, not with your heart.
  13. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays,Jude.
  14. Here's something to start with. Pardon the upside down page 2....I've got dinner ready.
  15. That's the whole reason I got into it.Just this dang reality setting in that's screwing things up on the purchasing end. Shake 'em out now boys 'n girls.Springtime is best.Have your wallet and tow company ready.Good luck to everyone.
  16. Mary-That'd be the one!!!! True,we need more pics, that's a given, but just imagine having this thing if it's anywhere near what a 27k vehicle can be like. I'd gotten a few low mileage vintage Subarus. This one would beat them by a hair as far as mileage. Not to tout the car shown, but a 1975 Subaru 4WD wagon has significant historical value. It's easily worth $6,000 to me.Not sure about $10k though.Personally,I'd look to get it for around $2,500.Although I feel it's worth more,I'm not the guy to go tossing $6k at it either, right now.I'd take out a loan or dump off what I had to if it were under $3k.
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-Subaru-1975-Mint-condition-only-27-000-miles_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6467QQitemZ4596493642QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Anyone here going to bite at this one?
  18. Yup,I knew that.So he can skip town with a paper plate, but it'll be registered, just not legally for very long. So anyways, call me and let's talk about Saturday, please. Ciao
  19. That's right,longer in/out tubes on the EA82. Good luck.Might want to find my post for EA82 heater core swap.Read it and it'll be a 3-4 hour job,tops.
  20. " Have you ever seen a Subaru 360 Sedan with a 30 psi. boost guage? What evil secret could lurk in such a cute little car? Who or what could possibly tame this monster? Could this car actually posess 360 hp? That equates to 1 hp per 3lb.! Most world class supercars like the Ferrari Enzo or some Superbikes are 1 hp to 6 lbs.! Is the designer/owner of this 360 Sedan absolutely certified-bongo-nuts-crazy? So many questions.....so little time. Keep tuned Subie fans. The Subie "Speedracer" will debut soon. baaahaaahaahaha ha ha.....! "-quote from the photo caption. Need I say more??? Are those wheels staying on the front??
  21. Hahaha,I just asked him to post or pass them along....EXCELLENT!!!
  22. I'll take that!!!!! But the '87 will have to go through emissions sometime after registering or they yank the reggy. But if he's going to drive it elsewhere who's going to catch him?Besides, the test is super easy for most Subarus. Thank YOU corruption!!!!
