  1. Things are now not as solid for me.My son really wants to hit the Pine Barrens. Might be able to swing both.
  2. mmmmmm I could go for one of those right now! Cool, but I'll be down next weekend.Sorry I won't be able to make it this weekend.I had the wrong date before.Have a blast guys!!! Tim,I'll be working on my buddy's house but can probably make time to swing by and meet up.That Brat is now in New Hampshire. No hard feelings on my end. Cheers!
  3. I think the EA82 filters work. The original SOA part number was 880874110 but I'm sure that was updated.
  4. Hey man,you gonna let me in if I'n in town?? I'll be down there on Basford Rd. helping my buddy on his house, etc. this weekend I think.
  5. Thanks! From my searching Goodyear's site I couldn't find anything with the woven wrapping.I'll keep checking.
  6. A nice little meet you had there.Nice representation from the pre-Impreza era.Right on!!
  7. Gosh I wish I could shrink down to the size of a mouse and get into the box with the '79 shifter I have. Free bump.... Of course,if you came up here on a weekend we could tear through the place.
  8. Thread moved to Older Gen. Forum-for pre-vintage Loyale,etc...
  9. Coffee's on,wake up.... I actually need to do some hose replacement REALLY soon,if you have any knowledge of PRE BENT,PRE SHAPED,PRE FORMED,or whatever you want to call them, hoses for our 70's Subarus please let me know ASAP. All I would really need is the proper bend/shape,regardless of vintage appearance. I'm trying to avoid getting basic hose stock and having hot spots from a kink.
  10. Unfortunately those links did nothing for my hose situation.:-\
  11. This could be something for the vintage look. Any thoughts on this wrap crap? http://www.alcoa.com/global/en/featured_products/aflacatalog/sleeve-heater-hose-protector-flexiwrap-150-mm-quantity-5.htm
  12. Upgrade to silicon? http://www.paragonperformance.com/Silicone%20heater%20hose.html
  13. I'm going to search real quick, but any knowledge of these please DO tell.... Looking for the heater hoses firstly for my '78 4WD wagon. But I'd also like to outfit the '73 coupe in vintage-esque hoses, etc. The particular type I'm looking for has the woven fabric on it.I'd like a good 6 feet or so of the heater hose diameter. And if I can find radiator hose in that style I'd naturally like a pre shaped upper and lower for the '73 and '78.
  14. Hey guys,if I may just step in here for a moment please, let's get some affirmation, per favore. So,we're getting together to A-Meet and show off, hang out....B-Hillclimb Burke Mtn. just to do it,see the view.....and C-do some 4Wheeling.....and yes,I know we said biking too.All cool for me,but my desires are more to do the hillclimb and 4wheel some trails if possible. +++Do we have definite logging roads, etc. that we know we can use(4Wheeling) without causing anyone to get upset?+++ If I go biking with you guys I'd need to bring my son,so that's probably going to be scratched off the list for me. Me,I'm Paul and my son Luc will be with me.It's be nice to know some real names beforehand. If you're internet shy then feel free to email or just introduce onsite.Let's see how many we have and keep this thread pumping along. BTW,don't fret on not having organized anything, etc. It's just a few whacko Subathusiasts looking for cheap thrills.Save the wine and cheese, trophies, etc. Looking forward to the reward of being in the Kingdom and just getting some relaxation and of course the cheap thrills involved.
  15. OK I'm in. My son and I will camp out Friday night and possibly Saturday night either with you guys or in Grafton for an overnight at our friend's place. So,Saturday,I'd like to do the hillclimb, take some pics, veg out for a few seconds, then sometime during the day we can hit some trails.....???? sound good to you guys?
  16. Hi,I'm new at being a moderator and will have to find out how to move this thread. It's very welcome here on the USMB but it belongs in another forum, the New Generation.
  17. Outstanding!!!! What I wouldn't give for one of those. In '77 I was 13/14 yrs old and my brother was a Subaru mechanic. We had one of those 1100's I believe in our yard for a while. It was aqua blue, totally cool even next to my brother's Chevelle SS,in some weird way.Counter-muscle,anti-guzzler,intelligent not indulgant. It was our first real look at ANY Subaru seriously. At that point, the dam burst open and we started seeing every dang Subaru they made from '72-83 at my house.
  18. I think it's worth putting on eBay and letting it get bid up to its value. This is the exact car I'd love to have if or when I go back to EA81's.Good luck with it.I know if you put it on eBay it'll fetch that $1000 and then some. White and blue are my favorite. If you can drive it here to me I'll give you the $1,000 and get you a flight home.
  19. I know that the place in Tacoma (subaruparts.com or something like that)has them both.I just inquired this afternoon. How's that for ya? Here's the place: http://www.subaruparts.com/ Oh,and not to be a wise rump roast but the seals are located in the front and rear.... Well, you asked. Good luck, you'll do fine. I use a "5way tool" or 6way tool as some are now called. It's painter's tool for scraping, etc. and has a "C" shaped blade.Rest a piece of wood or something against the aluminumn block and then get the point of the "C" shaped blade in behind the seal.Using the block of wood as your fulcrom (spellcheck my foot!)rock that little puppy right out of its seat, going around a little and not just prying it out from one point if possible. Never mind a proper insertion tool. You'll find something to set the new ones in squarely.Just remember that you don't want to walk it in.You want to push it in evenly,as best as you can.You knew that. I know Tim will take care of you.
  20. Mike, didn't you say there's lots of trails near you in NH? I'll make arrangements to be with you guys at least one day.Maybe shoot for the Friday night campsite, nice long day of riding and of course, the climb to the top of Burke.
  21. My opinion is to have the neighbor drive it a little each week.Fill the gas,use stabilizer.Have them change the oil every 3 months regardless of use.If that's too much to ask then no biggie on the oil, although it is recommended every 3mos or 3kmi. Sitting for a year+++ is harmful to a Subaru or any boxer engine. That's been proven. But one year won't kill it if it came down to just cold storage over occasional tending.Hopefully your neighbor will understand and help the cause. Good luck in D.C.Man,those jets flying sooooooooo close to everything freak me out, sorry, hope it doesn't bother you.The F.D.R. Memorial is hands down the best thing about D.C. to me.Words etched in stone at that site are some of the most true ever spoken by any president.See if you can get W to go take a look and smack him in the head if he doesn't get the message. Thanks you.
  22. That would not surprise me. Have a good time Brad.Still have the lone Subaru Over Sand Permit??
  23. Ed,I sent some emails to your spamcop address.Did you ever get them?I've been waiting to hear back.Talk to you soon, Paul
