  2. The point is that no matter how big or small your list is we can all see,and PRINT,people's lists for when we go yard hopping, raid some old dealer's stock,or clean house and find some old parts you don't need anymore.
  3. hahaha,hi Mike!! Thanks again for taking the Brat and parts!! Good luck with it. I was looking to leave a feedback for you but saw that you were here looking at this post. Take care, Paul
  4. How about we all get our needs/wants listed in a manner that's easy to print and take with us during our parts hunting? Suggestion- BE SURE TO MENTION THE YEAR MODEL,COLORS,ENGINE (if your car was made in a multi engine year,i.e.:1976 1400 and 1600cc....) There's been a decent increase in vintage Subaru ownership lately. To date we've all treated each other very well, overall.Let's hope the lists don't cause any arguments when items double over onto your friend's list. Right now there's at least 3 people who'd risk jail time to get a mint condition blue dash for a '78-9 4WD wagon or Brat. Please, please, please consider not buying items you already have in cases where someone else REALLY needs that item.Let folks have runners before you stock a shelf.
  5. Welcome! ...and on that note of yours,I will be posting about trying to help each other with their "wish lists". Good luck with your search. One will be up for sale soon,I'm sure.
  6. mmmmmmmm somewhat they help. Thanks Yes Pat,I'm looking for stuff like the bracket mounting as well.I haven't felt this lost on a Subaru project in years. I guess I need to just git my butt down to the car and start hammering it out too.I always tend to work better if I have a good visual.Hopefully I can score that nice 'n cheap Turbo wagon in PA this weekend and all my troubles with my current T-wagon will be solved.
  7. Oh,and I think I took the only brochure the dealer had!
  8. Saw two on the road. Went today to the dealer for parts, went to the showroom, walked around it,salesguys started over to talk to me as I looked at the sticker price and let out a big laugh!!They walked away just as fast as I did. $37,000++++++!!!!! A very nice ride indeed, but $37k is too much.Wiper warmers, all sorts of buttons to push, optional leather, big old seats for fat keyster Americans-the '78 seats do me fine. Last night I had the '78 at a drive in place in high falootin' Darien.Guy pulls up in a Tripuka,or beca...doesn't even notice what he parked next to.A true yuppie scum.My '78 looked quite "dwarfy" next to that 'beca.
  9. Popularity fading fast..... Geez, with all the EA82T owners out there you think someone would offer to take a picture or two......any help would really be appreciated.I'm in a big pinch to get this car finished. Need clutch cable routine, hill holder cable routing,etc....
  10. This will help too! Still difficult for me to use since I don't have a cartridge to print the picture nice and pretty like I'd need it to take downstairs to work on the car with. Clutch cable, accelerator cable, and hill holder routing are most important.
  11. Sounds like it won't help me too much with interior parts. If you go back please check the passenger side fender and the other exterior parts I mentioned. Just the FSCR location is closed, the spirit lives on.My '78 is my daily driver right now so any help is really appreciated.I've got a rusted wagon to get to down here as well. Not going to be too easy without a real place to do it at.
  12. Well, uhh,I'm actually trying to remember by fitting up pieces.I haven't taken a real shot at the alt./A/C set up yet. It's the small boxy type A/C unit. Any pics of the engine compartment will likely help. Thanks,Pat,and I swear I'll get that socket set out soon.Sorry about that.
  13. Looking for the right routing of such things as the clutch cable, hill holder cable, accelerator cable.... Also, the A/C and alternator bracketry/config. I've been away from this engine for a year, pretty much.My late 80's FSM's are unavailable at this time. Any pics would be great. My car is a 1987 Turbo 4WD 5spd wagon with the pushbutton on-demand 4WD.
  14. Touring wagon for this body style is 1989 and 1990 with three types of methods used for the rear hatch window. There's one glue in style, and two other types of securing methods. The Touring wagon uses a larger glass than the regular body.
  15. What colors is it? Needs/Wants: Uncracked black or blue dash Uncracked steering wheel, blue or black Chrome strips above the rockers, just below the doors.they are specific to the 4WD and Brat.If they are not banged up I'll take one or both. They pull off.Should be an up and down and pull motion to remove them. Hood release cable complete if not rusted. Passenger side fender if not rotted out. Front valance,I really could use one that is straight and not rotted out. It's the part under the front bumper, between the fenders. gas filler door Any special bumpers or bars on it?How about a skid plate?Mostly curious,if there's something worth it I'll probably snag it. If the radiator looks very good.... gas pedal,if not worn out and hinge at bottom is intact. any pedal covers that look very good If there's anything special about the tranny or engine, like known to be low mileage or recent replacements, please let me know and I'll drive up ASAP I have friends in Sharon, right near you, that I haven't seen in a long time. Thanks for any help. I could probably continue my list but this should get you started.I'm about 2 1/2 hours away.Talk to you soon, Paul
  16. I swear to you,Elad, the grill is in a box,but I need to pack it better and get the International shipping invoice filled out.Hang tight and you'll be slapping a beatiful grill on that GF. Looking GOOD!!!!!!!! Nice GSR!!! Congrats on the score!
  17. Here's what we're dealing with.Just so we can all see the same animals.
  18. Cool pic! So,when do you go head to head with Jason in his '76 wagon????
  19. um like, show me a gen i brat that has them and um like I'll be amazed. He asked about a gen i Brat, which I've never seen the old style axles on. the double whammy u-joint axles are on wagons only up to May of '78.According to my FPM the Brat's got the new style which we are ummm, all familiar with. Jason, you're a trip, but I'll take you on my team regardless... Cheers
  20. They definitely are out there.Whether it be homemade or kit,I know a few people have them.Brad in MA has one on his Loyale wagon,if the car is still together.
  21. Jesse and I can probably cover what you need.Right now it's best to start with Jesse,a.k.a. Subafreak. He's closer and my stuff is kind of tightly wedged into a storage bay.
  22. And you can add the VLSD from a 91 manual tranny Legacy Turbo to the host of rears to slap around. Naturally,I let mine go when clearing house...
  23. Glad to hear about the new tooter you got there. Rock n' roll !!!
