All the Subaru people I ever talked to say the touring wagon in that body style was only built for the USA in 1989 and 90. Perhaps its some sort of grey market car or Canadian??

I wish I could get a pic for you, sorry, everything is kind of buried.
-
Yeah, call it a single range medium was from '75 to '80,with some leftovers in '81 as I know it. Wagons only untill the Brat came along....at least here in the US.We didn't get a 4WD sedan untill the 80's

Don't be silly my friend... Always room for knowledge. It's three extra five speed trannies I don't have room for. I'm starting to think one last trip to Holmgren's might be in order.Just grab everything with the old style parts labels and run.He still had some gaskets, etc. from the early 70's in there that I left behind. -
Clarion only: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=15 I don't see any 4 x 6 or smaller.:-\ This is something we folks wanting to keep vintage subarus around sure can use.I hate driving to Carlisle listening to light duty speakers at 90mph.

well,if that's right then you'll want to see this: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=15

Yes,should be around 800.

You might have to score a new style speaker, unless you either get a good used speaker or somehow find one somewhere in a dealer's old stock(nearly impossible). The speaker is the same from Stage II 1977 through 1979 for all models.I have to think it stayed the same through the remaining first generation Brat (1981). An earlier sedan, etc would be different as far as part number. As for the exact size and maybe connector difference I'm not sure. I think it's about 2.5 x 5 inches....but it's just a guess.Good luck. Please let us know what you find to replace it with.

The End of an era for the NY/NE area
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thanks Jude! One of these days I'd like to chat up about Garda and your trip through northern Italy, etc. Thanks again Andrew. well, the wake was yesterday. For some weird reason I didn't even cry or get too upset.I guess we've all had to deal with this more directly since we at work had so much to do in his absence, etc. Still, very hard to see such a young and otherwise healthy guy lying there.I always expect people to be pounding the floor sobbing at these things but the atmosphere was quite the oposite. His wife was OK,the kids too. Thanks for all of your support and understanding.I did get a package out to one guy in Canada but the rest of you will have to wait a little, sorry.Otherwise,I'll be back on track soon.Funeral today. Now,in regards to the FSCR....I'm not turning my house into what was the FSCR.Like Andrew said,it's all about the people, and the getting together, etc. I will not have a stock like I once did again. And I won't be having people drive over for repairs.Life is onto a new plateau.Kids first,Subarus well down the line.Hence my wanting to get a solid Impreza and just keep the vintage toys for fun. There's plenty of really great places to meet up for a group meet. Also,I really don't want you all to think I'm shutting the door on any of you. It's just that over the years I can think of a few people I helped who I just simply won't have over my house. It's not going to be like it was where I'd just tell people to show up off of this board without ever meeting or knowing them beforehand. Those of you who are local and current are all considered "IN" and welcome at my house as needed, just be sure to contact me,not just show up,of course. I just don't want my house to be a haven for old Subarus, that aren't my own.And I just don't want to deal with people as much. Like I've been saying, closing some chapters, writing new ones. My son and daughter are great kids deserving of a father with minimal distractions. My focus is on them, and keeping a supportive household for them and my wife,of course. We had what we had,and it was fun.Now it'll be a different form of fun. Cheers! -
Yup,smell the coffee, then wake up....we've got a really sweet deal here thanks to the boys in the front office.... Post those pics here!!!!! I never use my Yahoo gallery anymore. Oh,I know I need to cough up some dough for the board.I hope you all contribute at least a few bucks to the board for all the expenses. User supported USMB!!!! Let's keep it that way.

Any EA63"S" engines in the USA?
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I only have a 1973 GL Couple and a 1978 4WD wagon as of right now. I'm working up the dough to get my '75 2WD wagon back from Andrew,"WagonsOnly". -
Yup,it was '75 I parted one out just a couple of years ago and wish it could have been saved. So,now that there's even more of us that are going to be looking for one as an historical valued vehicle, let's not all drive up the prices too fast. For one thing, they aren't the same body as a 2WD,so forget about making one out of the 2WD.THere's some differences in the front radiator support, and of course, the underside, and rear of the unibody. If one shows up on eBay or in Hemmings, etc. I'll likely be bidding on it. At that point I might even give up my '78 if I have to.The '75 is a much better 1400 than the earlier versions. If you find a '75 or '76 1400 you'd be a good soldier to keep those engines for someone like me,who really would like a properly restored 1975 4WD wagon. Good luck guys.Happy hunting!! one last thing.....ME FIRST,ME FIRST!!!!
