  1. ***** I've been scanning pages from my '77-'79 FPM for a few people,as needed.Just keep it handy. You don't have to give that one back do you?('72-79) I REALLY want all pages related to '72-76.....so,whatever you can do would be great.
  2. I'm back.....REALLY could use Miles' help. Send a message of some sort and we'll all put money in your pocket,I'm sure. I figure between Connie and I we can put you up in CT for a couple of days, send you off with some dough. Then you've got Mary and if you make the long haul, you've got Milt. I have to pitch for Milt here one moment. He's a grade A,number ONE,stand up guy who can't get as much done as he'd like to due to various conditions. If you can help him that'd be a huge favor that I'm sure won't go unpaid. Also, you'll love being up there for a short spell. If I take you into NYC you'll have both ends of the spectrum covered.Maximum intensity and minimal stress. To stay at his place is a TREAT....and should be considered a reward of life!!! Trust me,I don't need to B/S you or anybody about the enjoyment of solitude, just listening to the waves,etc....a REAL place to get one's head aligned. Worth the drive!!!!! Please try to make arrangements ASAP. I REALLY need someone. Please don't make me pay a top dollar joint. My parking space at my mother inlaw's has worn itself out.Man,I really really need to move cars and get that turbo wagon back in action......S.O.S.!!!!! I'd rather pay you and have the pleasure of hanging out with you than pay some ripoff shop that doesn't know half of what you do. Am I getting anywhere here?? Call me or email,etc.....THANKS!!!!!!
  3. Unless you have that triangular alignment tool.... But,look, here's the deal....TAKE IT OUT!!!!! As stated by myself and Subaru....you CAN do it,to answer your first Q But don't,and your life will be happier. Oh,PepBoys-$119 for an engine crane....can't go wrong!!! Mine has probably saved my back and several friendships.... Cheers
  4. It's ok to do it in the car. There's a triangular flat alignment tool that an older Subaru mechanic would have.Might be able to score one from an older dealership with a little luck.
  5. No problem,Kevin. Let's see if this works off of your already hosted pic. Oooooops,OK I think I see the problem..... Sure does look awsome though!!!!!!
  6. Outstanding! But I thought this thread was old next to new.....not new stuffed into old. Well, looks like the thing to do for a Stage I coupe too.
  7. Kevin's,not mine. Enjoy!! Kevin, tell us a little bit about your lovely specimen of GSR.....
  8. It's not going to happen for me.Too far,and some people put a fairly high value on it. Todd, yes, sorry I haven't called back.TTYS Connie, sounds good, except it's my daily driver right now. We'll talk soon.
  9. I can come up with a handful of guys whgo can fix it,Mary. We should talk if you don't mind trailering it down here.I know three Master Techs,2 of which were "Senior"MT's,and my brother was a tech from the late 70's to around '83 so he also knows those EA71's in and out. By all means, give Miles a shot. But just incase he can't make it or decides the EA71 isn't his bag.... You forgot to mention the boat excursion with Moosens, out to George's...Tuna coming!!
  10. I really do appreciate all my vintage owner friends buffing their cars out and making them pretty.I truely wish I was at the point that I can also begin the wagon resto, and the coupe.....well,whatever it'll become .....but meanwhile, the good old pony keeps a chuggin' along, turning 84,000,being 28 years old,not needing and resto quite yet.My beachin' 1978 4WD wagon, currently my daily driver. Anybody else using a vintage ride as a daily?I'm sure there's a few. Everybody is really starting to notice it now.The other parents comment how they had one,etc....and "oh,that's so cute" from the moms. The kids are also really taking notice. It's no longer just an old car. It's now obvious that there just aren't any of these around up here anymore. I hope I get mine buffed out someday.Meanwhile, the '78 turns 84...and keeps on truckin'. Cheers! Vintage Subarules!!!!!!!
  11. Gee,might be since it's up in the right corner of this post. Sent PM a couple of hours ago.Tall to you tomorrow...as long as you call.
  12. Yup,I'm in Bridgeport.I'll PM you my cell phone number. If you can come by B'pt. I'll check it out.I have to work in the AM tomorrow.
  13. THere's a couple around.I have one already-2 port exhaust, and there's one NEW in a crate in CA that I know of. THere's also a guy right near me with 3 1974's sitting there melting into the ground....
  14. So,they destroyed your evidence,eh??? Well,I know I had a 2 and 4WD 1975 wagon side by side and I compared them. For sure, they're different. THose drum cyclinders were just on ebay a couple of weeks ago.I know I have some buried away.THe liners are on eBay right now,or just ended.Check "completed items" if you search.
  15. RX was available here.Three door coupe and four door sedan.EA82T engine with full time 4WD locking center diff.,LSD,dual range....is that what you're talking about?
  16. Man,I wish I knew that Dave was going to do some pyrotechnics.....
  17. Sorry guys,I thought this thread was about the tranny diff. not jacking with the wheels locked,my mistake.
