I got a pushbar from Jack.Never got to meet him but his mom was cool. That was probably in the "Summer Tour 2000".He did stop back here not too long ago. Now,show me some old thread from the first board. I think I was online with the USMB around 1997 or 98,despite what the signature says.Yikes!Soon it'll be ten years.....scary.

.....of course you want it legal. At first it seemed like it was truely abandoned and just waiting for action,or death.Seems like there's a glimmer of hope for it if the doors were locked, etc. New Advice: You should have already bought one of my cars. So stop down and check out the '84,87,or 89 wagons. Good luck. -
I see that you're correct.I wonder why my friend who has nearly 30 years with Subaru told me mine was a thrust washer. This guy is a Senior Master Tech.Is there a thrust washer at all in an EA82T?I don't have my manuals handy. From the looks at the early 70's manual I do have,it's obvious that the center bearing carries the thrust on the early engines. Thanks for the info.Sorry Jude.Talk to you soon.

Rumor has it that Dave and Melissa are heading north.Call me if you're coming up.I'm working untill at least 11,probably 12. I'm going up to Milford for the afternoon.Connie is supposed to stop by too. For those of you not sure what's going on,here's the nutshell in a deal. I'm moving soon.I am consolidating all my Subaru parts and paring down the stock. My place is a rented industrial bay in Milford,CT.I'm giving lots of stuff away and looking for some help with boxing,or if you'd help with some mechanical work there's plenty to do too.If you want to just stop by and mooch some parts that's ok,just don't assume it's all available. THere's a lot of parts for most Subarus from 1975-1989 and then some. I DO NOT have Legacy and Impreza parts or anything after 1994 Loyale that I'm letting go of. Location: 230 Woodmont Rd. Milford,CT unit # 41-C I-95 from NYC take exit 40-left at end of exit, right at light, industrial park on your left before the first light.Seconds from the highway. I-95 from New Haven take exit 40-left at the bottom of the exit,go under highway, straight through light,it's on your left in about 75 yards. Saturday you can count on me being there from 2PM on,for sure.Hopefully I'll be there even earlier, like 12:30 Thanks for any consideration.April is the END!!!! It's going to be a huge push to get this stuff organized and moved into some little tin storage unit. Then once our house is settled I'll move it again. So,stop on up before something you need goes in the dumpster, because I'm not into moving things I don't need for my own cars. I'm extremely cash poor this week but I'll do my best to score some pizza, etc. if it becomes a decent social event.Besides, you'll see something you want for a few bucks and then the pizza, sushi, etc. will flow like wine.

Is the heater cock opening when you move the sliding lever from blue(cold) to red(hot)?? -
That's a thrust washer that's causing the front to back play.I just sent a PM.I'll try to even up or send a replacement. My turbo EA82 has the same play but it runs excellent,no leaks either. But it sort of scared the heck out of me when I had the engine out. It's not a lot of play but enough to hear it when you move it back and forth. You don't have any up/down-side/side play do you?

I'd look in the glove box for the title.they probably signed it for the pick up folks.....so.....just fill in your name before they get it and the car is yours.....drive it home. Title says it all.If it was left like that and the title was filled out you're not ripping anybody off, since it looks like the tow company neglected to gather it up. Good luck. -
Thanks for the boxes!! Yup,we've actually been there when there was a regional enduro. Not sure if it was Hare and Hound,or what.Still a very cool place for Tom to bring the 'yota and a dirtbike or two on back. On any weekend you might see horses,or huge walking/hiking parties. Our group actually helped a young girl get out to the road and to the hospital when she somehow fell and got under her horse way back in the middle of the place.

Cool,thanks for keeping us posted.

Are the rear brake on this one drum or disk?I'll sometimes get that on the '84 w/drums,because the shoe will walk a little bit. Just a thought.

Hey!!! We just did another quicky blast down to SoJo...err uhh,South Jersey,to SVXpert's place.Well,it sure looked a lot more like spring down there than up here. April, definitely,no matter how busy I am I want to blast down there with my son and hit the trails.Depending on the forcast we might even go down Friday night and camp.Last year he and I stayed in the Batsto campground way around back of the part we go into first. Bump to the north

Uhh,these aren't in any danger of those infamous California mudslides are they? seriously though,do let us know what's shakin' when the blessed event occurs. Cheers

VERY entertaining pictures!! Congrats on the latest score.

I wonder too.... I'll have to dig through that stuff. When Pat dropped everythnig off things got all shuffled around.I haven't even seen those caps since the day Pat was here.
-
I need the centercaps for those wheels, and could use the lugnuts as well. I'm interested. There's a small vintage Subaru population here in the northeast that could really use those wheels.Feel free to PM or email. Thanks

Thanks guys. Basically if anyone has an interest in stopping up please just email and make an arrangement. DON'T wait to try to make it a "Meet" expecting several board members, confetti, band, free beer, etc. ,but we sure can have a good time especially if several folks show up. I'm going to be up there as much as possible on weekends and some weeknights.Just ask for directions and let me know your "window" of opportunity for actual hang around time. I know I make it sound like we can have a cool day with lots of folks doing different chores but in realitly if I just get a good helper here and there I can really malke things happen. So come on over as you can,IF you can.If somebody can spend a couple of hours on a weeknight that's fine, just make arrangements.Same for any weekend time, just to be sure when I'll be there and have my cell phone number. Thanks again for any consideration. Cheers!

April will be our last month at the rented space in Milford,CT It's still holding a lot of parts that will inevitably end up in the dumpster if people don't show up and take them. All that aside,I could really use any help in the next month and a half. Please don't ask about parts.I do not have the time to get to my place lately. There's a few folks who I've been in contact with about possibly getting some parts shipped, but otherwise I'm not interested in taking orders. If I see you posting here wanting something I'll reply if I know I can get to the order quickly. What I really need done is some boxing and inventory.Could use a mechanic for some work.could use someone to help with shipping some large items.Any help would be not only appreciated but also compensated for as best as I can.I can only spead myself so far. After that I need some willing and able bodies. Thanks for any consideration.
