  1. I need the centercaps for those wheels, and could use the lugnuts as well. I'm interested. There's a small vintage Subaru population here in the northeast that could really use those wheels.Feel free to PM or email. Thanks
  2. Thanks guys. Basically if anyone has an interest in stopping up please just email and make an arrangement. DON'T wait to try to make it a "Meet" expecting several board members, confetti, band, free beer, etc. ,but we sure can have a good time especially if several folks show up. I'm going to be up there as much as possible on weekends and some weeknights.Just ask for directions and let me know your "window" of opportunity for actual hang around time. I know I make it sound like we can have a cool day with lots of folks doing different chores but in realitly if I just get a good helper here and there I can really malke things happen. So come on over as you can,IF you can.If somebody can spend a couple of hours on a weeknight that's fine, just make arrangements.Same for any weekend time, just to be sure when I'll be there and have my cell phone number. Thanks again for any consideration. Cheers!
  3. April will be our last month at the rented space in Milford,CT It's still holding a lot of parts that will inevitably end up in the dumpster if people don't show up and take them. All that aside,I could really use any help in the next month and a half. Please don't ask about parts.I do not have the time to get to my place lately. There's a few folks who I've been in contact with about possibly getting some parts shipped, but otherwise I'm not interested in taking orders. If I see you posting here wanting something I'll reply if I know I can get to the order quickly. What I really need done is some boxing and inventory.Could use a mechanic for some work.could use someone to help with shipping some large items.Any help would be not only appreciated but also compensated for as best as I can.I can only spead myself so far. After that I need some willing and able bodies. Thanks for any consideration.
  4. Chunks of formerly molten silencer? This is from an EA81,right? Gee,I remember some very knowledgable board member blowing me off for saying debris can get in there......
  5. 16 miles north of I-80 and way out there in Skip's domain of western "over the dang hills" Pennsylvania.Gee,could be a good time for the Indiana/Ohio gang to meet the east freaks.....pork rinds meets pizza.Could be interesting. I'll see what I can do.Most likely it'd demand a trip to Skip's,if he'd allow me over.
  6. Hey,have a great freakin time!! Nice little picture you've got there!!!The grey wagon twins! I'm 42 I'll be kickin 'till they take me down.
  7. Doesn't the oil pump supply the heads primarily? and the crank, main bearings, and con.rods are lubed from the oil bath in the oil pan? You do get noise upon start up when your filter doesn't have the bladder valve but that's top end noise. Good luck Todd.
  8. ....only on paper my man! Saw Motorhead tonight for my B'day!!! They still rock! Like there was ever any doubt.
  9. Alright, enough already!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you...... Yup,me 'n Albert,we share the same prodution date. That's going way back to when E wasn't quite yet equal to MCsqaured.
  10. Kudd,Pick up my wheels from Mudrat! .....if you can. I'll even run up to I-90 in Mass. or drive to VT to pick them up.We'll be going to Grafton,VT at least once this summer, maybe as early as April before the big bugs wake up.
  11. Grab the D/R crossmembers and steering rack too. Over here around 1979-81 you could get yourself an EA81 with the starter on top like the EA71's of pre-1981 in the States. Good luck with it.So,you'll have a more modern ignition too, right?
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7960271459&category=6762 I gave some of these away to my visitors over the past few meetings.I'm almost tempeted to bid at one cent.
  13. I didn't find any others but I'm sure there's an ff-1 wagon out there, right here in my state infact.
  14. It's worth the effort if you want a 4 season car that gets great gas mileage. You don't have a dual carb set up on that engine do you? Some of us here can help you with trim pieces, etc.
  15. Wow,the northeast is really perculating.....World Vintage Subaru Meet,Pine Barrens Meet 'n Off Roading,Carlisle, and now your event..... Carlisle is nice to see all sorts of other cars. Pine Barrens is a fun trail riding day with minimal danger. We've had a really great bunch of people there every time. But,the event not to be missed is the World Vintage Subaru Meet.
  16. OK,get ready all you vintage Subaru owners, your time to meet has come! To be held just up the road from the land of P.T.Barnum.The second "Greatest Show On Earth." Free admission!! Held on the rented grounds of Industrial Park North in scenic Milford Connecticut Super easy to get to,just off of exit 40 of I-95 in either direction. Incase you haven't noticed,I'm consolidating all my Subaru stock from 1972-1989.***I'll be giving many items away to the true vintage owners.*** Stop by and see the '73! I'll also have my '78 there.I'm sure there'll be at least one other car of mine there too. Tentative date:Saturday April 23rd,2005 Sorry for the short notice but I think we all understand this is just an attempt at getting people together and getting some useable items into the hands of folks that can really use them. If you can't make it I understand and we'll see you down the road. All Subarus and all members and owners welcome.
  17. ...and even less over here! THere's a guy local to me who has three '74 Subarus sitting in his backyard.I'll see what's worth picking at in a few weeks.I was there twice already but the guy is old and the second time I was there he wouldn't let me back there.Weird, since he called me first, and the first visit was very cool. But,the third time I went back, nobody was home so I wandered back, just to make sure they're still there. I'll make a list of what's useable when I get my hands on them. Good luck with the DL. What colors is it?
  18. In this isssue it appears to have a story on the Japanese cars at Carlisle, which is a national show here in the States. Can any of you look through and see if any of us are in the edition posted here on eBay?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4534837362&fromMakeTrack=true I'd actually but this issue if there's some good shots of some older Subarus.Who am I kidding?I want to know if my '78 4WD Wagon is in there. Thanks
  19. I'll be available all day Saturday. Not sure if my phone carrier is going to whack me for out of country calls,so email if you don't mind and we'll talk real soon,I'm sure. Let me know what you see that would help me out for my "GSR". Do you know if the dual carb I have for a 1600 is the same?I'm pretty sure it'll work, but was looking for any experience regarding the exchange. My '73 could really use: driver's seat-black w/white center dashboard rear side window-but I can get that here easy enough,I think.
