  1. Here's the most incredible opportunity for me yet. Please see what you guys can do to load up my '73 in Moxee with some goodies.Stuff that thang!!! Regardless of my list, please let me know of any parts from this era you may be discarding, selling cheap,or know of that you might handle for a small donation. What I'd like: any sheel metal from '72-79 Stage I or Stage II axles FWD manual tranny from '72-77 fuel pumps alternators and volt. reg's. solid steering wheels-no cracks any good interior parts,we need a '75 2wd shifter console for WagonsOnly in black...... brake and wheel parts Probably not thinking of something because of my excitement.I'm like a little kid right now. Many thanks to Pat,both Pat's,but NorthWet Pat especially at this time.Let's hope you can pull this off.If not I won't cry too much. I really think this is going to make a lot of people super happy if it all goes down.Butter Pat's roll!!! I know I am. I figure WTF,I'm going to shell out a good $900 even at the lowest price where I'd need to still pick it up over an hour + away from me.Bless this man for even considering this incredible journey. He makes a few stops, meets some board members, everybody makes exchanges, life is good.....life is GOOD!!!
  2. Wow,this is turning into one heck of a great Christmas story.I may actually get my wheels from Mudrat!!!! .....yeeeeehaaaa. I think I might even send him some money and hope to get a serious front bumper for my Brat....or something cool like that.John, you got a catalog yet? Pat,we'll talk soon.I hope you got my message about the payout.Hope it's good to cover the ordeal.
  3. Wow,this could really turn into something big here.Well,Mudrat has some wheels if they could get to the car.Someone else has some parts and was maybe going to go by John's....maybe get it all to Pat's...well,I can't expect all that but we'll see what else can make it into the '73 to come my way. As for return trip goods,I have Brat windshields, all glass,etc... also have a brush bar paid for by 75skunkaroo in Montana ....to be continued.
  4. WoodChip, glad to have you along. Plenty of stuff for your car here that I'm letting go of cheap or free.I'm cleaning house of a load of late 70's through 80's Subaru parts. I had a funny feeling when I saw "WoodChip" it was someone from CT......hmmm.
  5. So,pardon me for asking, but would you guys say that if you intend on doing this swap that you'd want to change out the ECU,main harness, whole kit 'n kaboodle?I was planning an MPFI upgrade. Heater connectors too?Sounding like you'd better swap out the dashboards and everything going through the firewall.Just for about what?5 more horsepower??The delivery is smooth from the start, that's what I like. The SPFI is almost like the last carbs they ran......lacking power, but better than the carbs by a good measure.
  6. Thanks everybody! Mary, your story is the reason I'm posting.thanks for the insight. Rob,mostly I think Pat(NorthWet) means driveable so it can be driven up onto a dolly or trailer. Sure,I'm all for any delivery method that gets it here.Time is not an issue but I'd like to get it off of Pat(the seller)'s property fairly soon. He's been an absolute saint so far but snow is coming.....I'm sure that it's a pain having an extra lump around the place. Northwet, please look over the PM I replied to you and let me know what you can do.THANK YOU!!!!!!
  7. Matt,it was late, too much to do,just happy to be blowing stuff out.Funny,we tipped it in one direction to make sure all the antifreeze was out.....but i guess we blipped out.Shoot me. :-p Connie,I also neglected to think of tossing some sort of stand for you to work of off.I have my power saws home but I can throw something together that resembles a cabinet with a worktop,or a stand with worksurface...you name it.And yes,it'll hold the hundred and twenty pounds tops that the block you have weighs.
  8. Thanks for the help everyone!!! Especially the mystery guest himself-WagonsOnly-who delivered an EA82 to Simpreza2 and then came down and helped some too. I went mildly wild and stayed untill around 2:45AM,just kept moving on that coffee and stayed warm buzzing around.Got a lot settled in better.Much more aisle space and a couple good clearings.Good to sweep out all the dust and crap. Thanks Dave,Melis,Jon,and Connie too! OK see you next month for the third installment of the closing of the FSCR
  9. OK I got a good bonus and with some sales recently I now have the funds for the transport of the '73 coupe from Moxee,WA to Bridgeport or Milford,CT Sorry if this is off topic.Do as you must, mods. Ben,please remind me of the hauler you mentioned.Thanks.

  18. He's been there...done that...... Hi konrad, nothing in stock right now that you'd go crazy for.I do have an XT 2WD automatic-1987 *RUSTY*.....for a steal. Actually I might just part it out like I was going to do. My turbo wagon from arizona can be had for around $1800 almost all done. So,I guess you're back in CT now.Call me when you have time.Best to try me after 5PM.
  19. Looks like there'll be company this Saturday!! All are welcome.Somebody swing by and pick up Skip! And somebody else bring Dennis.
  20. Take off the fuel line and turn the ignition.Have something to catch the gas in,of course. If you are pumping gas then I'd check fuses, alternator, and voltage regulator. There's a factory manual on eBay right now.I just saw it.It's for 1972 but you'll find the info you need in there. Keep it going!
  21. Greetings. I have an industrial bay full of parts from the 70's and 80's that I need to get rid of cheap and fast.I'm giving away lots of items and selling some at very reasonable prices. We've had this location as storage/workshop for over 7 years and now it's time to move. It's in Milford,CT just off of exit 40 on I-95.Super easy to get to,just seconds from the exit ramp. Please check the Marketplace for my post and remember that there's much more than what's listed. Take advantage of my not having my PC running and not being able to post items on eBay.Get parts without worrying about being outbid. Thanks for any help.If you know somebody who needs to keep a 70's or 80's Subaru running please pass the info along to them.
  22. Getting very hard to find these on the east coast. I know of a guy who might let one go up here in CT but it'd be a parts car requiring lots of work to make roadworthy again. I've seen a stage I sedan near Winston Salem about 3 years ago.You probably know this but the Boone area holds a few up in the hills.Good luck.If you find something and need parts be sure to contact me. I'd let my '78 4WD wagon go for $4,500......which is $500 less than what I'd let it go for last year.Sign of the times. You can score one in Florida, just check the Marketplace back a few pages. It's only like $300.....DEAL!!!!
  23. Ben,go for the whole column and take it home.Undo the joint under the hood.Unbolt from up under the dash by the computer. It'll drop down and then you just yank it forward.Sometimes it's a little hung up on the screw of a collar at the end of the column.Might apply a little grease to the grommet in the firewall.Don't bother trying to undo the collar or anything else. You don't need to dismantle the steering column covers either. Some folks will tell you you do but they're next years crop, still green. You do need to take that stuff off to get at the ignition.Once there you'll find you may need a drill to take the rivet heads off of the bolts-or at least two of the bolts.the others will be Philips. Good luck, call if needed.
  24. Phone conversation, that's what we need. I need the dash and visors.Scotty in Norwich was interested in the engine and tranny. You've got the interior. I wanted axles and any decent calipers,rotors,drums.....maybe some more craziness. We'll talk. Oh,I also want the tailgate, the good tail light,trim,etc.......for some customers. hmmmm, that hood looked good too, didn't it?hehehehe
