Looks like there'll be company this Saturday!! All are welcome.Somebody swing by and pick up Skip! And somebody else bring Dennis. -
Take off the fuel line and turn the ignition.Have something to catch the gas in,of course. If you are pumping gas then I'd check fuses, alternator, and voltage regulator. There's a factory manual on eBay right now.I just saw it.It's for 1972 but you'll find the info you need in there. Keep it going!

Greetings. I have an industrial bay full of parts from the 70's and 80's that I need to get rid of cheap and fast.I'm giving away lots of items and selling some at very reasonable prices. We've had this location as storage/workshop for over 7 years and now it's time to move. It's in Milford,CT just off of exit 40 on I-95.Super easy to get to,just seconds from the exit ramp. Please check the Marketplace for my post and remember that there's much more than what's listed. Take advantage of my not having my PC running and not being able to post items on eBay.Get parts without worrying about being outbid. Thanks for any help.If you know somebody who needs to keep a 70's or 80's Subaru running please pass the info along to them.

Getting very hard to find these on the east coast. I know of a guy who might let one go up here in CT but it'd be a parts car requiring lots of work to make roadworthy again. I've seen a stage I sedan near Winston Salem about 3 years ago.You probably know this but the Boone area holds a few up in the hills.Good luck.If you find something and need parts be sure to contact me. I'd let my '78 4WD wagon go for $4,500......which is $500 less than what I'd let it go for last year.Sign of the times. You can score one in Florida, just check the Marketplace back a few pages. It's only like $300.....DEAL!!!!

Removing an ign. assembly EA-81

Ben,go for the whole column and take it home.Undo the joint under the hood.Unbolt from up under the dash by the computer. It'll drop down and then you just yank it forward.Sometimes it's a little hung up on the screw of a collar at the end of the column.Might apply a little grease to the grommet in the firewall.Don't bother trying to undo the collar or anything else. You don't need to dismantle the steering column covers either. Some folks will tell you you do but they're next years crop, still green. You do need to take that stuff off to get at the ignition.Once there you'll find you may need a drill to take the rivet heads off of the bolts-or at least two of the bolts.the others will be Philips. Good luck, call if needed. -

Phone conversation, that's what we need. I need the dash and visors.Scotty in Norwich was interested in the engine and tranny. You've got the interior. I wanted axles and any decent calipers,rotors,drums.....maybe some more craziness. We'll talk. Oh,I also want the tailgate, the good tail light,trim,etc.......for some customers. hmmmm, that hood looked good too, didn't it?hehehehe -
Whoohoo! My newest!! It's home, It's MINE!!

I offered to help someone in Romania.I think there's more than one person from Romania on the board. Somewhere in my old email I might have a list of wanted parts.I'll check a little later. I'm half Romanian.

Best to just make arrangements to stop down at a convenient time for both of us.Email or keep PM'ing and we'll hook up eventually. I haven't set a definite date yet because I've asked you all to speak up about when is best. Anyone who is fairly local can make arrangements. It might be a bit of a strain on you but for free stuff or a great deal on something you sometimes need to compromise. I'll be up there most of the day today. -
.......uhhh,amen..... OK,I can accept that. Mary,my camping stuff is there with the minus 20 deg. sleeping bags.Essential when you love Nova Scotia. And yes Dave, you must have known I was getting an XT just for the low miles MPFI and the seats. :-p So,that means we need to bust butt and make some more floor space. And loft space. And shelf space..........Amen. Seriously folks, stop by.I know it's the busy season.Boy do I know! Email, call, send smoke signals but no tobacco please, whatever it takes to make an arrangement to stop by for a visit. Going up tonight for a start on the XT parting.....best to call. Connie, might be in Danbury really soon if I hustle.Edit:Not going to D'bury. I'll be at the shop if I make it past the yacht club..... :-\

Gosh,I thought you knew the radiator came out easy and that you'd be doing this comfortably. Good luck with it.

Bump for the moose. -
Lots of southwestern car owners get them.I have one that came with my '87 wagon and it's really not bad for looks. They have stick on velcro pads so it doesn't slide around.(at least mine does). It's all about functionality. It hides a cracking dash,or protects it.Either way it's a step in the right direction for a small investment.

Went to Homo Cheapo last night for a quick plumbing fix.Naturally I found myself back at 6AM today but that's another story.... Pull in,park and I look up and there's a 360 sedan. Not a resto, not some rag falling apart either.Just a good old man's car, well kept, decent shape-actually outstanding considering what it is. It's the cream color with red interior. Some cracks in the interior and minor blemishes on the exterior. So when I come out of the store the old fellow is getting in and fires it up.Sounded pretty cool, very moto-like!!!It went off and I tried to follow. Not sure what happened but I went one way and then turned around. All of a sudden he comes from the other direction.....well,it was late and I just made a quick turnaround to try to follow but didn't see which way he split off.Definitely was an old man driving. I left him a note, not about buying it but just for contact info if he needs it.This little baby has probably been here the whole time, just the next town over, about 2 miles from where I've lived most of my life. You never know where and when you're going to spot little creampuffs like this. It's usually between 9:30AM and noon when the old ladies come out for appointments and shopping.Check you local shopping centers and medical centers at those hours if you're really looking for something older still running. Any 360's still thumping along in your neighborhood?
