  1. I'm trying to get Jamie to reply to me about the '73 coupe Pat has in Moxee, that I bought.Jamie was supposed to get the car from me. If Pat,Ken,or Rob read this and you know any info please email me or post here ASAP.
  2. Well that makes one of us.....personally I don't see why this re-surfaced.It's May,the grass is green and my plow sits at Wagon78's place.....but go ahead and talk it up as long as there's some sense being made. I now find myself with a decent plow vehicle,or two,or three...so come next fall I'll be hot on this again.Right now I could care less. Hint-it's a good time to make me an offer on the plow.....
  3. Looks nice but not for $3000.....good luck with it.I sold my '76 DL1600 Automatic to a guy in Sweden for $2,000.Mine had 37K on it and the interior was near flawless. Good luck, hope it hits at least $1500 for you.To expect any more might set you up for a disappointment. Personally,if I were the guy knocking on her door I'd be starting at around $200.My '78 wagon was bought for $350 with 70K on it and extremely solid. But I did pay $875 for the '76 mentioned above.
  4. Louis, you didn't miss much car action after all.Next weekend I'm sure will have some interuption with my son's baseball, etc. but I'll see what works.Call my cell phone of you have time, please.I changed phones and the old one totally crapped before I could get your # from it. There's so much to do that I think I'll be there as much as possible to get all my cars back in order and the '78 looking better before Carlisle. No matter when someone wants to come by there'll be some project to work on.
  5. Well, the weather sucked, and we didn't really go nuts parting out vehicles but it was great to meet Leaking Oil and her daughter.Always a pleasure to have "hocrest" Dave up here too. Thanks a million to Dave for helping me with the touring wagon.I've got a good idea on how to keep the carrier well braced.Hopefully I'll be able to keep the touring wagon and trash it at Pine Barrens one more time,or more. For any of you who are fairly local I still have a couple of cars to part out and more in the works...maybe,if I deceide to bother with them.I just need to be sure my tow guys can take them immediately upon stripping. I've decided to strip the '84 4wd wagon after all. Too many cars that really should be driven a while longer.Bummer but that's life. Cheers!
  6. No ECU in there.I'd say the alternator is not working properly.Probably the diode.Cuts off the fuel to prevent sparking upon collision.Should be more like 15 seconds, not 30 so maybe I'm wrong. Next I'd suspect the Voltage Regulator. Good luck.
  7. Well,it is across the street from the truck stop...could shag down some lot lizards and make it a real sleazefest.....or not. Anyhoooooo,we now have a slight delay here.....I'll be up there after 3PM. Knuckleheads of the Subaru world unite!!!!! Your fare less leader the Rockin' Rev. G.L. Fivespeed will be holding service.Blessed are those who wrench in the bored. Brian,I know I've made at least one trip to Montpelier for Subaru part hunting.....LOL.Just kidding, life is busy this time of year,do as you can.Brat door....don't forget the Brat door. I looked it over and it isgetting a little rusty on the lower edge, the usual, but for sure it's otherwise solid. As you can see I'm seriously going to be blowing most of my stuff out.We will be moving soon,I hope, and I need to get the joint trim.
  8. I can help on a couple here. Meeky-is Tony....right? Scrapdaddy-is Jules Aldoat-is Aldo
  9. Chris sold to me his USMB Calender adoring car at one hell of a nice price.I must publicly thank this guy.Vegas has a true winner now.I hope you guys out west get to meet Chris.I'll take him on my team anyday. He took great care of this car.I'm very happy to be owning it even though I was ready to ditch all EA81's and move on. I'll be posting for a few parts to try to make this car just a little more towards 100%.Beanhead me,I backed into a concrete planter at an office complex-f'in thing was below the sight line-still pissed off about it.I should be able to swap bumpers with another wagon I have for parts. I now own 3 generations of wagons personally('78,84,87+89),4 if you include my wife's '96. Once again,Thanks Chris!!!!, Engleberg Humperdink Best of luck with the new location!!!!
  10. For those not knowing it'll be at 230 Woodmont Rd. Milford,CT unit 41-C Should be there Saturday around 12noon.Will be at it all day.If someone shows up I'll stay through the evening and buy dinner.Otherwise I'll go home and eat then return at night. Sunday I should be there....might be morning or early afternoon.Call or email first and verify before coming up.Or I might be there from the night before. at which time I'll be taking cafeine intraveinously. Current victims: '84? 4WD wagon-saving all interior, wagon wheels, pretty much everything that could save my New to me-84 wagon. '83 coupe.....too sweet but nobody seems to want it.2WD 5spd white/blue,only 83K!!!! Engine stays with me,everything on the front suspension/drivetrain goes to WagonsOnly.Super nice interior!!! '88?-3door coupe -Car is worth more as a whole as long as your state will allow it to be registered....like CT. So BUY IT NOW!!!!! for $200 and drive it away.Act now or forget about it.Must GO soon!!!!! **then I have a '89 touring wagon that I'll be keeping the rear hatch from and a few other items. That engine runs well but has like 260k on it....free engine for the pulling.I have a shop crane!!Buy me a beer and we're even.I'll be snagging the D/R 5spd from that baby as well.Probably not doing this one untill next week-Monday if possible, but probably later in the week. ...if that weren't enough there's also...in the near future....time permitting...: *Oobnuker's Super-Mod'd SPFI wagon from H.E.double hockeysticks, *Some XT 2WD some guy has upstate *A wrecked '82? hatchback if the guy gets is back from the insurance criminals. *damn,I forgot about the '84 wagon around the corner from me.... HELP ME you knuckleheads!!!....look,all these cars,no space= FREE parts to you for helping...and lunch or dinner,etc......I'm not asking for a back breaking session, just simple removal of smaller parts.lf l have any helpers they'll do the easy stuff while I get nasty with it. SPRING ROLL BABY!!!!!
  11. Time is killing me.If you guys have time to go let me know and I'll see if I can latch on with you folks. Dreaming out loud: some Saturday, leave here 6AM,hit Allentown,be at Ringgold by noon,be at Harry's by 2PM..... anybody actually have the time to do this?Hit or miss for me....rrrrrreally want to concentrate on the '78 ASAP untill Carlisle.
  12. So,what's the Friday night partying plan?Couple of beers at your site?Or you guys have some plans on raiding an establishment? I'm hoping to be set up with the family by 9PM or so.Could swing out if you guys are up for it.We'll exchange phone numbers.Scott should have mine,as well as a couple others.Call as needed,no rush to get off.Bless my phone plan. If just getting some sleep is in order then I'll see you guys Saturday AM.It'll be my only day with the gang as Sunday is for Hershey Park. If I can't leave the '78 there untill Monday morning would one of you volunteer to take it to Ben's?(or somebody's)-ONLY if Ben allows it to be parked for a night.I can pick it up Sunday later in the evening or Monday AM.I think we won't be back from Hershey (Sunday)untill dark,or later. I can leave it at the hotel but if someone is local and doesn't mind I'll feel better about it,and,it'll be viewable at Carlisle for another full day. OK,Friday night? Babysitter for the '78 wagon. Talk to me.
  13. Sorry for the loss. Where in NC are you located?
  14. My opinion from experience here on the east coast is that $350 front to rear is expected, and not too bad.We all want to pay less but I've never been able to do a front to rear exhaust job for less than $300.Add hardware and gaskets and you're right around $350 evey time. Good luck, let us know what you find because I need to do at least 2 cars complete.
  15. Qman is holding mine.Go see it or ask him to send a pic. before it heads east.
  16. Bitchin,but all touring wagons deserve a roof rack.my 2 cents.
  17. Some NAPA stores are very good. All depends on the personell. My local actually had turbo axles in stock. I get a pretty good deal at the dealer so I just *try* to get all my parts there.Milt, let me know what you need if you have a hard time.We are absolutely going to eastern Maine in July.Hope to see you on our adventure.
  18. Did you block up the ports in the heads where the carb has "plumbing" for the emissions/EGR?Those are the holes on the exhaust port facing outward towards the side of the car. Just something I know you have to do when using the carb's heads under the SPFI-been there, done that.
  19. Pardon me but did I have a post here that got yanked for some reason????
  20. Andrew is a good kid. He's young, and in college at a young age.I also know that he has not been on the board much lately. Boz,you're kidding right? Some of us communicate and set up deals that have allowed for some extra time.I'm almost all caught up personally, just have Kurt and Witte to wrap up.They both understand,or so they have told me. Back to Andrew, for $6 and lost packages I don't think it's worth calling him out for here on the board.I'll take him on my team anyday. He's a good kid but has a lot to deal with right now.I'll pay the stinking $6 if you really need it back dude. What was the part you wanted again?Feel free to email me and mention this post.....I'll hook you up if possible to cover my homeboy. BTW,you have a **BRAT DOOR HANGING AROUND MY SHOP**....for quite some time now on the stipulation that "you'll make it down someday,etc".....stop down already and you pass right by Andrew's on the way down.We ALL sometimes take a little too long to get to things it seems. OK,let's all make peace and pass the pipe. The New England guys are dropping like flies in New Hampshire after mud season. Brian, email me and I'll work everything out.
  21. Good luck Dave.Gee,I'm surprised nobody brought up those "issues" you need to work out first with all these characters here.
  22. Thanks for the offer but I am booked at the Hapton Inn in North Ashland through the company, etc. Leaving in a few minutes.See you guys on Friday. Won't be much fun time during the day.
  23. Flowie-"the ticket" means it's a good thing.Parault is OEM.......Original Equipement per Manufacturer...or something close to that. Lucky me I have both genders to deal with,EA81 and EA82,both soon, very soon.
  24. Welcome Hope you can make it to Carlisle for the import show. See you there or join us for a yard run soon.
  25. Jon, You'll be on I-95 coming from the west,or should be.Take exit 40,left at the end of the exit,go up to the light and take a right onto Woodmont Rd..On the left you'll see a Shell gas station,a Drunkin Dognuts, and a small industrial park.I'm in there-230 Woodmont Rd.-#41-C in wonderful Milford,CT Last night was a towel waver,I gave up and actually got sleep for a change. So now I'm ready to rip,but have some family stuff, etc. to do this AM I will indeed be there late AM like 11:00 and then break for a lunch back home if I'm still alone.I'll leave a note-if I remember-otherwise just assume I'll be right back.I'll PM my cell phone # As for the parts, stop and hang/help and I'm sure I can let them mighty mighty cheap....like $10 ea. or so....you know the deal,I'm no stiffy, and appreciate any help in these times so I'll even say just take them as long as we kick some butt. All doors will be open and lots going on today.Anyone is welcome to stop by. I'm going to be there all day-except for maybe from 1-3PM....if you get there around then take a ride by the water and see the young ladies tanning and strutting......but remember to come back!!!!!
