  1. Does that radiator have the square head plug atop the unit on the right side ? Just this past week I saw a leak but it was so small I couldn’t locate it. Same area you mention and it’s a 2.2 I did the $3.79 bottle of radiator leak stop. It worked for now. I have a new radiator on standby but when I went to do the repair I couldn’t get it to leak or overheat. I never recommend the easy bottle “fix” but this was so minute maybe this was the right time to use it. When I fill those style I mentioned above I follow directions given to me by the folks who work on them all the time. Take the square head plug out and fill while running until there’s no more air in the system then of course put the plug back in. From there you should be able to consider your coolant system topped off.
  2. When you get them please post their size. I can see this being searched in archives down the road.
  3. Opinion: support small business and not that creep. And John at Perkins told me those Wix they sell or used to sell are the same as made for SOA , that was a good 10-15 years ago. Not so sure about these new tiny blue filters. But I have those on my shelf from a case I bought. Using them up but for years now they just scare me somewhat.
  4. Lol here’s what I dug out. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=4072542319471479&id=100001472520427&set=p.4072542319471479&source=47&ref=m_notif&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic Sorry about this. Looks like they want you to sign in or sign up.
  5. And with my buddy Joey Ramone. A memorable time. Patty Smith , yeah I get her and she lives not far from me, but I just don’t go that deep into the left. But thanks to them for standing up. Ok that was a different committee meeting.
  6. It’s on face dook now. Take a quick look. Just don’t let yourself be sucked into the vacuum .... hahaha https://m.facebook.com/groups/1603473039901513?view=permalink&id=2838645453050926
  7. And again , my apologies for being forgetful and slow as mud sometimes. Hoping to be at my storage today and I’ll check my miscellaneous nuts n bolts boxes for those.
  8. Wish this board had a photo reduction gizmo so I could easily post a pic. But enough crying here we go ... 0411 06160 is the p/n for the screw which a quantity of 8 are required and showing as being used in the tailgate hinge. Also requires 8 lock washers with them. Washer p/n 0340 06000.
  9. Awesome !!! FZ rules! What these snotty punks don’t know. And what do you think they’d say about Bobby Brown Goes Down today ? Waaagghhh ! You can’t sing that waaagggghhhh Right on !
  10. You need part numbers ? I tend to forget sometimes but I do have my factory parts manuals/catalogs at home currently. Let me know which ones you need , which year vehicle and model , the usual stuff.
  11. Looks like the same handle used for decades now. $24 shipped to your door. Being a wagon fan I’ve replaced several. I even have one in stock. That handle if it is the same began its run on the GL/DL/ Loyale series. Pardon my eyes if I’m not seeing that as it may be.
  12. Kits are out there too. Be sure to read up on what I was indicating to you. I did not go into detail but assumed you would check and adjust the float. From your description I would say remove the carb and soak it, do it properly. And when you’re all done check and adjust the float. You’re likely going to remove the top cover more than once and the adjustment can be frustrating so go slow and follow the manual. Your carb kit will almost certainly have an instruction sheet which helps a lot. Good luck.
  13. Yeah I used to use duckbill pliers. Wasn’t easy but lead to success!
  14. It was idling well previously and nobody else adjusted the screw. Check the float bowl and clean the needle and float chamber well. The real way is to remove the carb and soak it , blow it out , etc. But if you just take the float chamber cover off and work from there you’ll likely be fine. Service manuals are out there online or hard copies.
  15. Goes on your socket extension https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/lisle-disc-brake-piston-tool-28600/25961363-p?product_channel=local&store=7676&adtype=pla&product_channel=local&store_code=7676&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3f-y8-Xj7wIVypyzCh0bPAmCEAQYAiABEgKwmfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  16. The PRP gasket no. WCR-288 is the one that fits 1972-79 cars Except Coupe. Also fits the Brat 1977-1981. For the Coupe there is a different part number. And the upper ears are a bit taller. That given , you can stretch and I think a small relief cut in each ear and make the standard gasket work for those cars. Not sure what you’ve come across. There are newer alternatives so maybe you’re seeing something someone came up with.
  17. Usual brain fog when I walked past my manuals. I’ll get that p/n for you next chance I get. Parts manuals don’t show up as much as Service manuals but they’re out there.
  18. Back about 1999/2000 I spent a good amount of time searching “elder” dealerships to inquire about any possible old stock for purchase and heard just too many heartbreaking stories about old stock being tossed. Literally missed large containers , before all these smaller containers were in the storage market and only huge containers existed or so it seemed , by as close as three weeks. Other dealers had purged months or years previous. That’s the life cycle.
