Large, unusual models, wagon, Brat
moosens replied to Afloridaman's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Nothing too incredible here. My cousin’s carvings have gotten blue ribbons etc , and of course his level of detail is something the rest of us only think we can attain. Probably bass wood. -
And I’d like to attend another in the future.

Not Corporate , as I know it. They didn’t put anything on it to identify at all ? The license plate say anything special ? -

A couple of questions on the dual range

Sorry , I know that wasn’t much help to answer your inquiry. But my open opinion is always going to be that the d-r 5spd rules the road and the trails. -

D/R 5speed - winner !!! -
Forget the “boy cries wolf” theories. I know you’ve seen me do this before and the posts are still there to prove it. This year , this time , it’s very very serious as many of you have seen me selling on eBay last autumn and a little bit since just very casually lately. I don’t have the time I thought I would. So I’d like to get folks to drive by and I’ll gladly display whatever I have to offer. The storage unit unit is under control and really much nicer and more accommodating for visitors - FINALLY - and thanks especially to Subafreak early last year and my best friend Chris late in the year which really brought me to a great point which I needed to be at for the past three years. 1970’s stuff almost entirely. Still plenty of New Old Stock and great used too. Engines , trannies , most all the stuff you imagine. PM here if you’re serious or email me at moosens at yahoo . Com Milford CT exit 35 off I-95 super super easy from either direction. Got 90-94 Legacy stuff or early 2.2 ? 90-96 ? You’re welcome to trade up just please discuss before hauling anything my way. Storage is too expensive , has to be reduced. This is it. Nice opportunity for vintage owners. Worlds best pizza near by , super breweries , CT isn’t so bad to visit just bring money and don’t stay long - too expensive!!!

Heater tap/valve wanted for '84 Brumby/Brat
moosens replied to KiwiBrumby's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
There’s a few heater valves out there , even for the previous Gen. Be patient but persistent. I have first gens. Outside chance I might be able to find a second gen in my stuff. -

Enjoy the time spent ! You did see the $46,000 Brat sell on Bring-a-Trailer , right ? And two Gen 2’s sold down at Barret Jackson in the $16-18k range. Just letting it sit there you’ve done well. Do your walk around and send me a list. I’ll do my best for you. Cheers! -
Rotary Powered BRAT?
moosens replied to nimblemotorsports's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Here in CT I have been selling off a serious amount of New Old Stock and great used vintage Subaru parts. Currently gearing up to ship a windshield. I also have at least one more. I have correct side mirrors new and old. Also lots of small items you may find that you need like brake switch , neutral switch , side markers , seals , bearings , etc. If on eBay check my sold items and the little bit I have listed now. ”cashingmystuffin” Everyone wants to be my friend and make deals on the side etc. but please be understanding that sadly I kind of need eBay lately. So if you see me there please DO NOT ask me to make deals off their site while on their site. They do have robots that search and they do warn you and threaten you with fees etc. Just contact me here or through email - moosens@yahoo. com But that’s no promise that I’ll yank an item from auction. Depends on how the item is doing and how I feel about it’s potential. Cheers! Paul -
Rotary Powered BRAT?
moosens replied to nimblemotorsports's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Easier to get the 1600 up and running. I have NOS main bearings in standard and probably first size up too. Also have lots of NOS seals , etc. You’ll see me on flea bay again soon. I’ve been slow about getting back into it. And I’m not alone , there’s still some others with old dealer stock. 78 Brat is worth keeping close to original until absolutely desperate. But of course you want to have what you believe will be more fun. -
Very hard to shift, grinding gears
moosens replied to musubk's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Just for kicks read this and with a flashlight go back under your dashboard for a minute. Flashlight illuminating the left side of the pedal box. Depress the clutch lever with your right hand as you watch the thin sheet metal of the pedal box at the pivot point. Look close , look on the inside and outside of the box but entirely in the left side of the box where the pivot pin sits in the box. -
Feeling a lot older , but that’s life. What can I do to help ? PM works or email at moosens@yahoo com , or right here. Good to see you around too. Cheers!

Yes , you’ll want to not bother with the air system and swap over to regular stock assemblies. Junkyard , parts car donor , whatever you can find. Maybe buy some new KYB’s to replace struts , or go cheap since I personally wasted my money on KYB’s since my son ended up killing the car and I couldn’t get my KYB’s back before the car go crushed. Be sure to get good top mounts. Not Chinese crap. Even keeping the originals are better than new Chinese’s garbage - take my word ! We swapped out our 94 Legacy wagon air for standard and all is great now. Good luck with it and the kid. Cheers!

Just found out that my parts car still has its harness. It might be a 1993 but to most of us here it’s got to be the same as the 1994. EJ22 Automatic Wagon AWD N/A Harness and engine still in car. It’s freezing here now so I know I’m not rushing up 90 miles to do this BUT if you can wait until I get a warm day and time to run up there I’ll help you out. ECU also still there. Car ran fine.
