  1. Thanks for the post. Curious topic for me too. Anybody want to buy one from me?
  2. Look close at each spoke. You will see the "J" for Jackman. They came in boxes marked Jackman - Made for Subaru. I have those boxes. The more curved spokes are for later generations. The flat spokes are 75-79 and Gen I Brat.
  3. If you don't mind , yes I'm interested. Thanks !
  4. Exactly right! The ff-1 is a very unique vehicle up front. Built like a race car in regards to space. I'm at work and have to work a second gig today but yes please get in touch. I'm going to try to PM now but I'm on a phone. I doubt this one had the disks and twin carbs. I don't recall any being sold here set up so well. And I don't think Subaru established a supported race team here until the Star series of 72.
  5. Those are Jackman wheels. Good luck with finding caps. They do show up but used and infrequently.
  6. That rare and you'd not try to restore it with a 1300? My first reaction. Probably came with the 1100 . Did the old guy say anything about the two engines? Yeah , post pics. I was the first person looking for one many years ago. Jerry was going to hook me up with one but he had to dump it quick and must have thought I would take too long. There's at least three here in CT all either running or can be. I'd still be extremely interested and we have had cars brought here from the left coast before. Send PM if you want. Talk soon.
  7. That was an issue and on many Subarus was NOT rectified despite a recall. We have at least one good post on this issue.
  8. Oh sorry , my eyes missed that. That's typically what you find when these low mileage vintage beauties resurface.
  9. Old lady automatic? Or was she way cool and dual ranged her way around??
  10. Check that posted info please. We had no idea that PRP was stocking 100. This was a recent re-thinking by them. They told us they weren't going to stock much if any both times we ordered. Enjoy ! PRP has your front windshield gasket. See post 16 in the other windshield gasket post thread.
  11. Check that posted info please. We had no idea that PRP was stocking 100. This was a recent re-thinking by them. They told us they weren't go
  12. Bump I know I'll be down there for the motorcycle races at NJMP - Subaru's home track - in September but a trip in between would be great. As busy as I am I still want to make time for some trails.
  13. Thanks for the help ! I'll take you up on that offer soon. Hopefully before winter. Thanks Jesse too ! Tell me that 1600 worked out for you.
  14. Good !!! I'm thinking that the way to go for you nice folks still needing one. Too much work for me just to save a few bucks. Maybe we need to delete this post thread and extract the above post and then make that a Sticky post so folks can clearly see it.
  15. Ok , all done for the day. Moderators , please delete this thread. Thank you !
  16. Ok show is over. Moderator please delete this post thread. Thank you
  17. Rain coming and I need to be heading home around noon. So if you are thinking of driving up please make sure you can be here by 11:30 , thanks !
  18. Morning affair. Rain coming. A few drops now but should be ok until the afternoon. If you think you won't get here until after 11:30 please don't bother. Again , sorry for the short notice. I'll try to do another day like this in August or September. And give more notice.
  19. Thanks Earl ! Hey Earl , attacking storage in the morning. Will gather those seats you desire. Cheers !!
  20. Sorry for the short notice. Check the Historic Forum for details! Dedicated to Ed Rachner ! I've got 70's stuff to unload. Super deals in Ed's memory.
  21. Vintage Northeast folks: My apologies for the extremely short notice. Raiding the Tomb in the morning. Vintage stuff galore. No time to list things right now but there's lots of 70's stuff. Engines , trannies , fenders , wheels , parts upon parts. Some NOS too. Exit 35 off I-95 in either direction. Rowe Ave. just alongside the highway. Off the exit just a couple hundred yards! Super easy , it's the CubeSmart storage joint. Pull in and BEEP the horn and I'm just a few feet away around the corner from you. I'll come out and let you in. Sorry , life is busy. You know the deal. Cheers!! And , there'll be three board members there for socializing. Three !!! Impressive for the East. LOL !! Ciao !
  22. Be sure to re-read my post way up top. You most definitely want (need) to lift that cowl out and clean and inspect the firewall down where you're going to pull crap out from. But overall , like I said just above , you really are more lucky than you think. Couple of spots - yes get them ASAP - but just looking at the wheels and engine bay tells me it's mighty solid with very little exception by Rust Zone Standards. Guys out your way might think that rot is horrendous and beyond workable. But we know otherwise. That guys beer gut is a thing of beauty! Lol I'm going to start doing sit ups and crunches so I don't end up a strong resemblance ! Lol Have fun with your dad! And enjoy! Don't let any dark spots spoil the project. You're going to have a fine Brat when you're done. Cheers!
  23. Time is the hardest part but let's see who's interested and where you're coming from. Our usual place if on Rt.206 in Atsion NJ. There is a ranger station with huge grassy area to meet at and worship under hoods etc..... Then light to medium trail riding. Do a google search and you'll see the vast area of wilderness. We hit several areas mostly sandy trails but some water. But !!!! If you guys have a spot up north please let us in on it. Early August ?
