  1. Time is the hardest part but let's see who's interested and where you're coming from. Our usual place if on Rt.206 in Atsion NJ. There is a ranger station with huge grassy area to meet at and worship under hoods etc..... Then light to medium trail riding. Do a google search and you'll see the vast area of wilderness. We hit several areas mostly sandy trails but some water. But !!!! If you guys have a spot up north please let us in on it. Early August ?
  2. I don't want to speak for the handler but from the previous orders the new price is even better. USA residents should expect to pay under $60 shipped. Last ones on eBay were old old stock and over $60 before shipping. These install fairly easy. Write up in archives to assist you.
  3. Who was it that I have the PRP contact to who called them? I'm wondering if you'd like to handle the order , or maybe Subaru3 but I know he's super busy lately. Ok so regardless of who handles this lets get a count going of gaskets you would actually want and pay for. I'm positive you will get the freshest gasket made and that it'll be affordable. I'd be willing to take one for now. If it's close but still needing a push I'll add one more. These windshield gaskets fit sedans , hardtops , wagons , and Brats perfectly. They will fit the Coupe with a little effort in the upper ears (corners) so says our man Subaru3 and he's always dead on!
  4. Sorry guys , three no's there. I did ship to Aussie , but I'm hoping to have someone else manage this lot. I'd say it's around $40USD or so for a couple of gaskets but please check that as I'm not sure and I know it's gone up the last few years. Only the windshield gasket for our cars. No other items are stocked nor were they ever apparently. We need and in NEED to get someone lined up for those. Same for rear of Brat or anything else we can think of. I'm still hoping for bushing/mounts etc in urethane. Some folks have back yarded those with good results. Anyways .... Pretty soon we will have the windshield gaskets request post to see where we are at for numbers.
  5. We'll have to line someone up with PRP who wants to handle the deal. Thanks !
  6. Does that have the four spoke steering wheel? Have interior pics?
  7. Commie , shame on you. Look over an old brochure online. The entire line has the hood louvers and wagons have the rear "gills". Stage 2 1977 thru 79 Deduct three points. No gold star today! Lol
  8. I'm not promising , but based on the info I got I can't see it being over $50 for most of us.
  9. Show me your repairs or share your thoughts on this nagging issue. For those clueless , our pedal boxes are notorious for tears in the flimsy sheet metal resulting in loss of clutch operation. Thanks for your constructive contribution.
  10. The previous Windshield Gasket Group Buy related posts ? Please ? I'm thinking it's time to get the next order going. Let's please clean house so there's no confusion. Several requests for windshield gaskets and recent sales of restored or restorable 73-79's and Gen I Brats have certainly warranted another order. Anyone else want to handle it? One member recently inquired and got a nicer price than previous !!! Should cost the end user less than $50 shipped for sure!! Hard to believe in 2014 ! It's an effort , I've done it twice. But it is over before you know it and all equals out.
  11. Welcome ! Good to see the Vintage bug hitting another east coast resident. DC area is going to be tough but don't give up. Research your oldest dealers and make the rounds as you can , talking with the ELDER service and parts guys. They may offer little clues but you're likely to score a lead on parts or parts cars , or find out what small shop or dealer tech on the side is available to you. Meanwhile , good luck and we're here with parts and help.
  12. What a truely excellent person! Godspeed Ed ! Our condolences to you Qman and of course his family and all of you who had the pleasure to actually be in his company. Another of the very wonderful people from this Board that often was there to help. I feel we should dedicate a moment to Ed in some way. Maybe next chance you get you take your Subaru out over some dirt and sling a healthy roost into the air for our MAN , Ed !
  13. Shame on you , Jim. You're too 360'd out , you've forgotten our Historic Forum here .... LOL Hope all is well. Would be great to run into you at Perkins one day with our dinosaur Subarus. Oh , and there's Caffeine and Carbs in New Canaan http://caffeineandcarburetors.com/ starts back up in September. Might be the last call for this very special meet. Hope to see you there. Enjoy !! Cheers! Paul
  14. Lol I've been synchro shifting my 78 for almost a year now. Unfortunately a cable of any sort won't help because it's the pedal box that's the problem. We once got a gen one brat back like a 3 hour drive or more by somehow using a brake cable I rigged up for the clutch. Not sure what vehicle the donor cable came from.
  15. One eBay seller has tranny gasket/seal kits. I think it is "svauto" who has them. Maybe you can find them individually too but my guess would be like the previous poster's.
  16. Gasket too? Glad you found one new. Which seller? Danny?
  17. Good luck with it. We've got a 95 Imp for my wife. Automatic which we run in FWD 95% of the time. We're up around 200k now. Enjoy!
  18. Remove the fenders and get rid of the foam tape Subaru used. That's what starts the rust in the "thin metal" spots you mention. You can probably fix those fenders well enough. Some still exist but they are hard to find. Try Danny W known here as "drivesubies" , and on eBay as "dannybreadman". He has them new! Good luck !
  19. Ask them if they can make a dual exhaust set up. People have done it. Search the archives. "Skip" definitely had a nice set up made. Pretty sure he went stainless too.
  20. Looks great for sitting so long. Mice will have left deposits. Check the ducts. Don't be afraid to take the dash out first thing. Then attack the heater unit. You're sure to have acorns or your local rodent fair. Pull the seats out, and get the entire carpet out carefully. There are snap downs , don't just grab and yank. Remove the cowl which is the louvered piece in front of the windshield. Then get all the pine needles etc. out from down inside there. With the carpet and dash out go look for pin holes where the rust is from the debris. Even areas where people don't get much rust that area of the vehicle is notorious. You may need a windshield gasket. Going to be tough but not impossible. We may have to investigate yet another group purchase. I think you should drop the gas tank and treat it accordingly , and blow out / flush any fuel lines. We'll have more to offer. Lots of help here. You appear to have a solid body there. If you scored it for a couple-few hundred you'd always be able to get that back easy. Scrape up some dough and good luck !!!
  21. One great deal is the gas tanks are inboard and may have an excellent chance at going long term. We have a tank or two here , with neck and insulation wrap.
