  1. Stage one or two? Body parts? Interior? Mechanicals? Colors in and out , if required? Plenty of good used from various members here. Some new old stock if you want as well. Going to make it a cheap and effective driver or hell bent on a showroom look? Good luck. I've got some stuff. We'll try to help you out. Cheers!
  2. Petey!! Long time .... !! I'm in my phone now and can't see a PM deal. I'll get back to you real soon. Thanks !
  3. No visible reason why it won't run with the carb freshened up , fresh fuel , and the disty can be found on eBay or through Danny - drivesubies on our board here. Enjoy !!!
  4. I'm guessing it was a whopping $6.52 or there about. Somewhere in my heap of nomenclature is a 1979 dealer price list. I think the early ones show the Citizen name and later don't. What year you reckon that one to be?
  5. On eBay now. You can find those plenty cheap enough. As I recall , you want some heat along to assist getting the old one out , like a propane torch. You can do it.
  6. The round door for the square vehicle. Square for the rounded. Makes perfect sense.
  7. There is a related thread to the pedal box. It's been showing up in a large percentage of these cars lately. Subaru3 might have a pedal box to sell. Let us see what you do to improve it. Thanks and good luck. Worn through ??? Yikes !!! Glad it wasn't that!!! Lol
  8. Your fuse might look good but pull it and check the end caps are not loose. My experience.
  9. Yeah I guess I cross generations .... I can tell you my brother made a cool swinger out of the pillar decor and put the old style key alarm switch in back. I had that Brat after him and it always caught people off guard when they saw it. Pardon the story. The glass you can use a 3/16 cord of any type and loop it around the inside flange , and have another person work the unit out from the bed. I've gotten them out by myself when they are old simply by moving the unit up and down and finding the sweet spot to just flex the inner flange and begin with a corner , carefully working to the opposite side then lift up.
  10. Screws from inside. Don't waste them. Take your time and look.
  11. Atta boy !!!! Use it the way it was meant to be used. Right on !!! Love that blue glass againts the snow. Owning these cars and using them beyond later model other makes off road is the biggest treat bestowed upon us.Dollars per fun we've got 'em beat. Rockn roll , brother !!! Hey , I really want a rear bumper like you have. They are specific to the later 1977 and 1978 4WD wagon ONLY......they are a pain to find in even decent shape. Please , if you see one, just grab it and consider it covered if under $100 and if over just contact me and let me know the condition. My icon picture has been whacked by this new board so I need to rectify that. Otherwise you'd be seeing my beloved 1978 4WD Wagon - the Snow Shark - the little beast of Bridgeport. A mechanical hero and virtual wonder up here. Cheers !!!
  12. Wow your 3 year old son sure is smart to be attending nursing school. Not nursery school ??? Just having fun. Welcome!!! Yeah first gen. Legacys rule for miles and fun per dollar. Show the family up and take it to 300k We'll be there to help. Cheers! Paul
  13. Is that a '72?? You frikkin lucky bastid ...... pardon me. Some intersting and exciting pieces there.
  14. Enter - the home depot 7/16 threaded rod .... Where's Ben when we need him ? LOL Seriously - TimeSerts work great too and you'll be able to use your stock exhaust studs for a long time without having to re-insert another helicoil. Plenty of solutions out there. Enjoy the battle.
  15. I think the white plastic lever has a broken "pawl" where the link wire's loop end hangs. At least that's my best guess. Junkyard - or maybe someone here has a spare. I have the 70's type if it's the same but I don't think so. Good luck on it

  17. "maybe some one restoring a ff-1 or whatever its called could use " Yeah I saw that but then he seems to have second thoughts ......
  18. 1300 parts can be found. What do you want to do with it if you can find parts? If you would actually use it the engine is very efficient and you can easily find the intake and carb from a few old school folks. ctsuba has used parts for 1300's including the 4 spd the mates up to it. dannybreadman on eBay has new old stock. He's here too as drivesubies . I also have some new engine internals buried away. Good luck. I know I want one for a future project.
  19. '79 is the year for transition from points to e'tron. Maybe because yours is 4WD ? I'm still using points but threaten to swap often. Find them on eBay rebuilt and ready to drop in for around $50.
