good day everyone I have read many of the post of the tpms but it is mostly of a workaround I have a 2008 outback with steel rins and have just got alum mags for it Took it to the shop and they said there is a problem we have to order 4 tpm's My question is...can't the tpms from the steel rims be put on the type 1 mags? if new ones are put on then you have to go to the dealer to get then calibrated....another expense!!!!! Can you please help also "how", (if it is possible to put them on the new rims) what is the procedure From the Forrester message board it doesn't state how thanks everyone Happy Easter!! joe

thanks to everyone for the response seems everyone knows what i am talking about to mwatt: let's take the driver door for example. to get perspective from inside the vehicle to out first have the window then the weatherstripping against the window then have the particular piece of rubber that we are all talking about looks like rubbing alcohol and silicone are the starting point thanks again joe

hello everyone The black rubber weatherstripping seal on the outside of the window around my driver/passenger front and back doors becomes tacky with hot summer days. sometimes the black comes off on your hands, so then you touch the white paint then it sticks on it too!! but along the cargo area they use a different material.......weird. i went to a repair shop and the person there said he had seen it before but nothing can be done about it. is this true? does anyone know of a fix for this mess or after market replacement thanks joe

hello everyone if i could get some help i've searched all over the place but .....no luck also... read a thread that the lamp is different from the dash lamps first, anyone has any advice as to how to get at this bulb second, will i have to go to subaru for a repalcement bulb or is there a radio shack substitute thanks everyone! joe

Hello Again! okay i have replaced the emergency flasher switch bulb which sits in the middle of the dash, also replaced the heater indicator bulbs between the seats, with the radio shack bulbs...work fine! i have disassembled the visor from the roof, rammed a set of of test probes in the connector to see if there was actually 12 volts to ground. nothing could you please help, as to where the power comes from? A. the dome light works. B.the map lights work. i thought, since it was constant power, it would come from before the switch of the map lights. the direction of the wiring seems to be going down the molding followoing the window frame. But without a print.......no clue also if it were a "switch" inside the visor.......where would it be? i checked the pivot arm on the visor itself and felt around the cloth material for some kind of protrusion....no luck you wouldn't have to destroy the cloth covering to get at it would you? thanks again for your help joe

Please help us!! thanks again joe
