  1. Yeah read that post thh other day. I'll keep an eye out for RS seats If anybody has a lead on one in the Ogden/ Salt Lake area please PM me thanks
  2. OK, I've posted on this problem the other day thinking they might be reverse threads. But got a reply saying they are Lefty= loosey. Passenger side Camshaft sprocket bolts: I made a tool out of a 2 3/8" socket and 2' angle iron, that didn't work.Just stripped the sprocket. So I pulled the valve cover and got a 1" crowfoot on the Hex part of the Cam and locked it against the frame. Using a 18" 1/2" drive breaker bar and tried to break the torque.... Nothing!! :banghead: Next I put the air rachet pushing 120 psi to it. Nothing!!!! :banghead: All have done is chip the paint and primer off the frame where the rachet was locked. Any Ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
  3. The seat has lumbar support and height adjustment. I just read the tread on the seat problem from last month and it doesn't really cover what fits and what doesn't. I tried ebay and couldn't find anything in my area. Screw paying $150.00 for shipping! I'll take her to a dealer this week and see if seh likes the WRX. But I'm sure the price will be hefty for one. I called the junk yards and they don't have anything that new.
  4. Thanks for the replies! It seems the gears on the outside bottom that hold the position of the seat are worn and it leans further back then it should. She also has back problems which doesn't help. I will check that local area forum and see if I can't get some WRX seats from around here. I can also take her to a dealer and have her sit a WRX and see if she likes them. Thanks for the good suggestions and I'm glad to be a member here. Lots of good info on our Subaru's!
  5. My wife is really tired of the stock seat in her 98 OBW and I am looking for an aftermarket one that will fit well and is somewhat easy on the pocket. $100 or so, does anybody know of a few that slide easy and look good installed. Also I have never purchased a seat and am weiry of getting one online and having it. A: not fit correctly B: not feel good on the back after a few hours sitting in it. Would it be smarter to go to a local shop and test them out first? Any info would be greatly appreciated
  6. Having trouble pulling the rightside camshaft sprockets on a 2.5 DOHC. Could they be reverse thread maybe? Just don't want to crack the plastic gears. Thanks in advance!!
  7. Did a search couldn't find anything. Here's my problem. I'm swapping out the camshaft seals and had a problem pulling the camshaft sprockets. Made a tool with a 2 3/8" socket and angle iron. Got the left side off but can't get the right side off. I've already stripped the front part of the sprockets and am going to pull the valve cover on that side and hold the cam. If I jack up that side to keep oil from leaking out can I reuse the valve cover gaskets or would I just be pulling them later becuse of leaks? I would rather not spend the $60 on new ones if I don't have to. Thanks in advance -Charlie
