  1. How about your spark plugs, wires? How does your distributor cap look? Good luck, Sam
  2. Is it possible to replace those parts and use them on the car without modifying? Regards, Sam
  3. Make sure you are NOT in the defogger mode. The genius Subaru "engineers" disabled it on my 2010 Forester. Good luck, Sam
  4. Roach Auto's database it very inaccurate. They will sell you a wrong stuff and you will pay return shipment. It is possible to rebuild steering pump. The only problem is the copper gasket. I bought a set of gasket material from Kragen and cut a gasket myself. Three thousand miles and still no leaks. Good luck, Sam

  6. I would let some air in. Try to use a tiny screw driver of something to let some air in. If it does not work you will have to loosen the band. Good luck, Sam
  7. Could you post a picture of a "Custom Bracket extension" please? Sam
  8. NO for roach auto!!! You will get the wrong stuff! I got mine at JC Witney - lowest price plus free shipping. Sam
  9. Try to open that round thing that is attached to the wiper motor and clean contacts. Good luck, Sam
  10. I have researched this topic for my 2010 Forester. You may try to unplug the connector underneath the air filter on 2010 Good luck, Sam
  11. You may try to post the question at 1990 to present forum here on USMB
  12. We have so many threads for the low idle. Do not mess with you TPS. Make sure you do not have vacuum leaks for starters. Good luck, Sam
  13. Sorry for the blurred picture: <iframe src="https://onedrive.live.com/embed?cid=51139DDC9043529B&resid=51139DDC9043529B%213110&authkey=AOlG4T13dIKzuDo" width="320" height="240" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> Let me know if you cannot see it. Sam
  14. A question for the information I found in the FSM in the link I provided earlier. 43.7 teeth. Do you really need to count that precisely if all the marks are lined up? Another question is about the tightening torque: 135 ft/lb and then turn a number of degrees. What do they mean? Regards, Sam
  15. http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/2009.zip It should have your 2006 FSM as well. Good luck, Sam
  16. Buy rags from HF. They work. Buy tools somewhere else.
  17. I remember grossgarry said that you can use a longer bolt since there are some threads left in there. I hope it will work as well. Good luck, Sam
  18. Even with little vacuum the blower still should run blowing air from the center vents. There should be some kind of switch that turn the blower motor on when any button is pushed. Regards, Sam
  19. Idle speed is controlled by ECM. Do not touch it! Sam
  20. New thermostat is a new thermostat. When cold squeeze top and bottom hoses until no bubles come out. Park it on a hill nose up with the radiator cap off and wait for the thermostat to open. Some coolant will leave the radiator when the coolant start expanding. I usually use turkey baster to suck it out. Close the radiator cap and bring the expansion tank level to medium: between low and full marks. Good luck, Sam
  21. On my 2010 Forester they used iridium plugs with 30,000 miles change interval. I have also had one ECU "update" from the dealer. They do not tell you what they do there but that what I had. Sam
  22. The fan comes on when the AC is on. Does your switch get power when you turn your AC to ON? Sam
