I agree and this even eliminates the need to check the continuity but battery voltage on the plus wire will give you information that at least at this point there is no problems here. Regards, sam -

Disconnect the plus wire from the coil. Touch the ground with one multi meter lead and another lead toughing the disconnected wire. With the key in the ON or START you have to have battery power there. While you have the coil disconnected you have a chance to check it's continuity using your multi meter set to ohms. WD 40 works fine on the sides. I have not tried it on bumper though. Sam -

Like I mentioned above, put the headlight in the oven, glass down, on the rack. The moisture will evaporate through the hole. Use the lowest possible oven settings. Mine got separated in about 2-3 minutes. I primed and painted the lens with aluminum based paint but it did not come out very bright. It still looks a little dull. I sealed it back with urethane that I got at Amazon for about $11.00 shipment included. If you need more information let me know and I dig up more details from my archives. Regards, Sam -

Put it in the oven for no more than 2-3 minutes. Make sure you do not overdo it. It is better to put it back in the oven for another minute then get it warped or get the glass cracked. assemble it back with urethane. Good luck, Sam -

On my auto there is a wire that you can see from the passenger side. I think it is orange. This wire goes under the engine. If you trace it it should lead you to the oxygen sensor that is screwed into the exhaust pipe. To get to the sensor I had to partially remove the heat shield. The bolts are very rusty. You will need a lot of penetrating oil. Good luck, Sam -

My SPFI came with Bosch from the factory. It has been replaced two times with Bosch with no problems. Sam -

I will also try to bump this thread so maybe somebody will find a solution ... Yes I also have the same problem. The only difference is there is no buzzing sound yet. I simply hold the switch untill the steering column warms up. I have tried to inject some lubricant in the slot but it did not work. In the past I lubricated the switch in my Isuzu and it did work. Is it possible with the Subaru? Has anybody taken the switch apart? Sam -

2010 Forester. 50,000 miles. 98 % highway. Speed rarely higher than 65 mph. Total mpg - 29.26 (Miles driven divided by gallons) Computer recorded mpg per one trip average - 29.959. Computer recorded mpg per all trips average - 29.08 Computer recorded mpg per trip is usually higher than the actual number (miles driven divided by gallons) but within 1 mile per gallon. Ambient temperature readings within 1 degree Fahrenheit compared to 2004 Toyota Camry. Regards, Sam

roachauto data base is very inaccurate! You will be stock with the return spipping the least. I have had a good price for shocks at JC Withey. Try it. Good luck, Sam -
I think they reffer to flat washer as a dish washer. It really is not completely flat. One of the sides is marked "OUT" on my Loyale.

Make sure the quarter circular opening on the piston is oriented towards the front - back of the vehicle. This will help you to fit in the little notch on the pad. Good luck, Sam -
Try to post this question in the Older Generation section. You will get more responses there, To me it sounds like the timing belt has broken. There are two small access holes in the center of the covers. Pry out rubber plugs and see the conditions of the belts. Good luck, Sam

The brake fluid will soften paint first. It takes at least 20-30 minutes to soften latex, sometimes even more then this. The car paint is much stronger. So there is no big danger here.

If nothing works, or you are short on acetone, try brake fluid. It removes urthane fairly well when it is still wet. I do not know how it works on the hardened one. Sam
