LOL....I guess I was a little vague....yes yes and yes. I was grounded, meter on dc. ign on. It was a couple weeks ago, I can't remember the actual color of which wire, however when I located the wire going to the high beam bulb I tested it. was getting 12 volts in the off position, and no volts in the on position. Of course it was only about 105 dgrees outside in the shade and I was a bit irratable. I was just asking before I try and tackle this again if anyone knows which wire will give me power for highbeam on activation. Maybe I will just grab it from the relay side. Thanks

01 Outback Wagon I am trying to mount and wire a pair of driving lights with a relay onto the hot side of the highbeam so when the highbeams are activated the driving lights come on. Anyone have any ideas.....I found three (3) wire going to the lamp assembly. I tested each one and cannot find 12 volts when activated on the meter. I did notice that in the relay box under the hood on the right side has separate left and right headlamp assembly relay fuses. I just need to 12 volts to activate the driving lights. anyone?? thanks darren

Again, Does anyone know the part# and watts of the low beam headlights of an 01' OBW. I have read threads on how to replace, but nothing on here about the model # or upgrades to a higher output. While I'm asking, has anyone upgraded the foglights to a higher output and knows the # they used? Thanks, Darren

I have searched and I know that there was a thread in here around Jan about the "headlight replacement" with I believe silver star. My headlight went out, I went to AutoZone and they say they don't have a replacement light for my model. WHAT? Just need to know if anyone remembers the thread or the answer. Also was wondering if anyone has upgraded to a h3 or h4 bulb to replace the foglights. thanks darren

I just had my 02 outback wagon windows tinted about a month ago and I love it. I tinted the back hatch, back sides and left and right rear door windows with limo tint. I left the front doors alone. Its great. I was having problems at night with the rearview mirror sensor being blocked by the middle headrest from drivers lights behind me. (sensor should have been on the top of the mirror) But now I'm not blinded by the light from the rear. I spent 200 on the job and they only quoted me 170. Incintive. However, they have been around for quite a while. Kar Kraft, Sanford NC on the east coast. Have not had any problems on the bubbles or around the black bubbles in the back side glass either. And it looks great! I made them take off the AWD stickers before they tinted. Darren

Can anyone help me in locating either a nudge bar or full front bush guard bar. I did find one site in australia with the nudge bar however for the price he wants for just the nudge bar I could make two house payments. I have three pencil beam rallye 8" that I would like to mount on the front of my outback. Sorry I have been gone so long from the board but I have been teaching a class and away from civilization. thanks, darren.

** FIXED!** No brake lights
Baysurfin replied to Ryanb's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
it sounds as if you are really worked up about this, now just to ask, have you tried using brand new out of the package bulbs yet? I had a similar prob that happened and it drove me insane underneath the bumper with my meter and tester and following wires....until I finally just went to the back and put in brand new bulbs.................they worked. Simple is always where I start after that. One thing I will say, if your getting power at the brake pedal button, I would use the tester on down the line, remember, current runs like water in a pipe, follow your current until you narrow your source down.
