1995 legacy, but a 1996+ style one. my park brake is shot. i've adjusted the hell out of mine with the "star" thing inside the drum. no workie. hack-jobed up the cable to pull reallly really hard, still no work. well it "works" but not good at all. i'm assuming the shoes are junk; and if so what are they called because i havent been able to find them online anywhere. maybe someone could tell me a good online source, or anything in general? if the shoes arent junk and im overlooking something, that would be cool to know too. i need to satisfy theese wacky inspection guys who like to drop the car in gear and throttle up to test the brake.

rear oxygen sensor-- the wires accidentally got pulled from the connector (t6). i need to know what wires on that end correspond to what on the oxygen sensor. if that isnt posible due to different oxygen sensor wire colors, just the wire color/identification on the engine end would even help. i know its a messed up question, but thats my luck these days.

95 legacy, AWD, AUTO. location: between the passenger side strut tower and airbox. i've been troubleshooting a few random problems and was looking over the engine today with a finetoothed comb. i saw this little sensor, with unbolted and just flopping around, next to it an unconnected vacuum line. so, like any normal person i connected it up. it is part four in the diagram. any ideas what kind of problems having this disconencted would cause? i'm getting very poor mileage and having an extemely intermittant stalling problem. i know i have a bad o2 sensor, but i would assume this could have some influence as well. enlighten me, i'm an oldschool bmw nerd, knock sensors and all of this stuff are new to me.

i have a 95 legacy, awd, auto. 2.2. thing runs awesome. for the most part. i can drive the thing for 2 hours and wont have a problem, other times i have problems just around town. basically, the engine will RANDOMLY want to just die. if i give it some gas it will stay running. sometimes it will do this 4-5 times in a short period, and not do it again for an hour, or again in the next minute. its weird. i can't develop any real pattern to it which is keeping me from really troubleshooting. it happens mostly around crusing rpm's, so in the 2-3k range i would say, but not everytime its in that speed range, its entirely random. it happens in all gears, and does not matter when hot or cold. sometimes it will try to stop when the car comes to a stop. its so random. i get no codes related to this. thanks in advance for any insight or ideas to check. this is a simmiliar thread, but not much to it: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30894&highlight=stalling

AS STUPID AS THIS WILL SOUND.... 95 legacy 2.2 awd/auto once again related to a transmission swap i did, a friend removed the tb/vacuum lines. i have them all back on, except for the one that goes from the intake manifold to the intake bellows (filter to tb). i need a picture of this hose since it has gone missing, i need to show him what it looks like so he can tell me where he put it.... -thanks again

so during my transmission swap last weekend, the flange between cat/center pipe disintegrated. the "donut" on the cat end was the part to go. the center pipe flange is ok. so can i get a replacement donut thing, or do i need to just weld the pipes together? i'm not buying a new cat for a winter beater over a flange, if you know what i mean. if this is a replaceable part let me know, the part description and where to buy it, otherwise i'll just weld it up next week.

i backed the tranny out some, lined up the little "stub" on the flywheel and its gone in fairly smooth now. i have two of the flexplate/flywheel bolts in and have rotated everything, it all rolls over as smooth as an engine does. i measured the gap on the old tranny/flywheel thing and its the same as the one in the car (flywheel-tranny housing--and it is the same) we shall seein a few more hours
