Kelly - someone mentioned S-10 and S-15 rear coilovers would fit with a slight modification. They are like an inch longer I beilieve.. It would work cuz the rearend has that extra inch to give anyways. Check with Carquest for the coilovers. I got 2 for like 40 bucks or something.. They worked great on the the pickup.

kelly your car does have the adjustable shocks. I tried to crank mine up on my 86 but they were pretty rusty and it felt like I was gonna snap something so I stopped. I started a post called EA82 Struts/Springs and we figured out what would be needed for tallest/stiffest and lowest/softest

Guys go ahead and order yours. I won't have money for a few weeks, so I'll order mine later. The way work is going now, I can't afford to take any time off to come down there so I'm most likely still going to get my lift, I just wont be able to come down there as early as you guys are going to do it. I will probably have time in May between the change of going back home to go commercial fishing. I could alway stop in wasilla and then make my way back to prince william sound. If something changes, I will make sure you let you guys know if I can make it down there. Thanks

I'd swap the tranny's between the cars.. put the 5 speed in the turbo and the AT in the loyale.. Auto tranny's rob lots of power

no I didnt jump it backwards..... red = positive black = negative. The guy at napa tested my battery and told me what was wrong. the battery is several years old, and I have jump starter over 20 cars with it including a power stroke diesel. The plates collapsed in the battery. Thats why it was arcing. I melted the temporary switch I rigged up last right, so I rewired the fan. The hotwire runs through a 15 watt fuse and then the switch is a 50 amp toggle. The toggle is put in down my D/R level. Nice to have heat again

those are pretty respectable prices.. The airmail thing should be fine.. airmail is flown into alaska, not trucked.. Well it was last time I checked anyways. FedEX ground seems that it would prolly be searched unless they fly the ground mail to alaska and then truck it from there. Ozified - what about prority mail? should be less than over night.. maybe something like 30 bucks.. I'd check the post office myself on prices, but I dont get off work until 7 pm.

headlight switch is messed up
torxxx replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
alright. I'll try it tommorow if its warm enough out. WoooooHOOOOO a day of soob wiring tomorow.. headlights and heaters... what else starts with an H thats gonna go out? hope not head gaskets -
resistor is fine. I must have smoked a wire somewhere in the bundle. Anyone know how far up into the dash the green and blue wires thats plug directly into the heater motor go? The plug went out on the heater end about a month ago and I'm wondering the other end connector went out finally. sucks being -25 F out and not having any heat

in the process of ripping my car all apart today chasing heater blower motor wires, I messed my head light switch up when I took the plastic off the steering column. Now my both filaments (high and low) are stuck on together when they should be on low beam. High beam is high beam. So now I'm driving around with high beams and even brighter high beams. I noticed the screws for the plastic go into the bottom of the highbeam/blinker switch. Has anyone else had problems like the ones I'm having? And has anyone ever rewired the highbeam switch to a 3 way toggle switch? I'm wondering what wires I would have to splice into? thanks guys

well my car decided to be a POS today. Went to start it this morning, batt was 1/2 dead.. not enough to start it.. I was blocked in so I used my starter to back out of my parking spot so I could get jumped.. Get someone to jump me, massive sparks flew as we hooked up the jumper cables.. Blew my fuseable link. Pulled the batt and the starter to get them both tested.. walked and carried the battery 3 blocks to napa. Bad Batt.. Carried the new one back got everything put back together, new fuseable link. Got my car started. Now my heater blower doesnt turn on. So I goto the JY and get a new motor, new switch and new relays. Tried all of them. STILL NO blower motor turning on. I am at the end of my ideas on what else could be messed up. I ended up wiring the blower through my old fog lights switch because I was tired of standing outside at 0 F (keep in mind I've been standing outside since 8 am this mornign working on my car) what part is gonna break this next time I jump in the sooby..!?!?!?!

I have plans to try to get a WRX STi this next fall/winter. I talked the dealer here in Fairbanks and they said I could come in for a test drive as soon as the roads are clear (cuz the car has those slicks on it) 300 hp egnine with mods to make it up to 900hp. They are made to be rally cars. I can't wait to get it and pour some money into it

Need tranny swap advice EA82Turbo
torxxx replied to moosens's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
pull the raid, slide the engine forward works for hte clutch.. not suer about the flywheel.. Either way pulling the engine is easier than pulling the tranny -
well, on a wagon there is a filter under the hood and then one right in front of the drivers side back tire.. There should be a little shelf where a filter and hte fuel pump sit. I'm not sure about on a brat, but you can check those spots
