  1. Guess you dont know about South Cushman.. lol Redneck party land.. last weekend I was at the ice track and there is about 30 whole cars out there... But seriously I wouldnt really throw it in the woods.. I'd take it to the large metal container at the transfer station........ Free garbage disposal for anyone who lives in FBKS
  2. Yes YES!!! I'm starting to like this idea.. I dont know though, the frame rails of the unibody would need some serious bending to get it back.. At the middle of the 1 and 3 cylinders it is bent at like a 20 degree angle from where it was supposed to be
  3. wow thats kinda weird.. Something is binding up inside the tranny I think.. Check your gear oil (tranny fluid) for metal chunks.
  4. alright I'll do that.. I'm taking off everythign thats still good and then as for the rest of hte car, its getting chopped up into pieces that will it in the back of my wagon and gettin toted out into the woods... I just gotta remember to get all the vin numbers off the car.. Theres the door vin, driver side top dash vin and the vin on the engine right
  5. Anyone drill out the mixture screw on a ea82 hitachi? I had to do it to pass I'm and I've messed with the mixture so many times trying to get it to run right, I lost count of how many turns each way..... Does this mixture adjustment effect all fuel flow, or just at an idle? I'm running at stock timing.. 8 degrees and my plug tips are a lil white. Can I advance my timing to say 10 degrees to make up for it being too rich?
  6. subafreak - sell me that SVX........................ I want one of those sooo bad.. Svx body with a WRX STi Motor and tranny.................. oooooooooooooooooooooooooh my god....... brb.. gotta rub one off..
  7. I talked to my buddy tonite, and 150 was the going price... the only thing thats really wrong with the car is the front clip is bent, and the front windshield is gone but the rest of the car is alright... Buying it seems pretty good.. I will have a spare single range 4wd tranny and all the running gear.. who knows it might have new cvs on it..
  8. I say make a Turbo and non turbo forum done deal.. simple
  9. K, my motor has 120,000 miles on it.. 1986 GL wagon carbbed, and its not a horrible ticking from the valve lashers... I have an offer on a 1988 DL wagon that was wrecked.. the front is smashed, but from what I can tell, the motor is fine. just the rad is fuct.. Its a replaced motor with 50 some thousand miles on it What is the compression reading I should look for to decide if I should buy it.. I think I can get the whole car prolly for 100 bucks just so the kid can get rid of it (college student) He's from my home town, and he said the car ran good before he wrecked it.. The only think is he doesnt have a Tach, so I wonder how hard he drove it, not seeing the red line As for the rest of the car, I'm gonna part off the running gear and shocks/struts and trash the rest of the car.. Anything else I should look for on the motor?
  10. Count me in on the stickers.. Mine is faded out too just like the first post I'd really like the big 4X4 sticker that goes on the back 1/4 panel... that'd be the shizzznit
  11. I installed a rubber exhaust hose from a marine Gas engine powered Jet boat instead of that ****ty foil hose that is oem.. I still ice up every now and then when its -50F but I've never noticed anything from the steam or water vapor that was mentioned.. I do not know if the actuator works completely on mine.. I think mine sucks from the heater hose all the time cuz I opened the top of the airbox on my 86 and it ran so much better getting more air
  12. Why havent I seen anything about or pictures of a supercharged 4 cylinder... I'm saying something like a major blower coming out through the top of the hood like the black dodge in Fast and the Furious? Anyone have any info on such a car?
  13. I have horrible air leaks at all 4 doors around my car.. lookin for the napa part numbers or schucks part numbers to replace the oem weatherstrip seals. Anyone help me?
  14. I dont have AC and I can get my hand in between the rad and the grill.. hook a few zip ties to it and have them come out of the grill.
  15. LMAO I've seen every type of rim except for the mag wheels in the JY around here 5 dollar rims.. All of them
  16. ahhh thanks for clarifying... I want one now.. sounds easier now
  17. From what I've read in here about the divorced t-case, you dont really need it if your going with 26 -28 inch tires.. stock tires are 25 inch. If your going 30+ inch you'd need the t-case. As for the mod, I'd imagine a driveshaft comes off the T-case to a seperate front diff just like on a pickup As for the cv joints, I'd imagine there must be a mod to put stub axles on the diff and then the CV's would hook to that.. Rooinator is this correCt?
  18. I used a little green clean machine to do the carpet in my car.. Took a lil bit of time, but I got the carpet to look like it did when it was brand new..
  19. wanna hear bad gas milage.. The fishing boat I worked on for 3 years had twin Carbbed 454's in it.. When we were running at 35 knots, (~39 mph) we would burn 80-100 gallons an hour
  20. yeah hes on time out. I talked to him once last week.. Kelly and northguy, do you guys have any other way to get ahold of him?
  21. So whats the deal with the orders? My roommate is gonna talk to his dad and find out about the shipping deal.. So I'm wondering if everyone is still in on the deal? I will have money in 2 to 3 weeks depending on exactly how much I'm gettin paid an hour for this Davis Bacon work I'm doing And Northguy, Snowman and Battle Wagon do you guys have a place to get me some good used struts and shock assemblies? I decided I'm going to replace all the way around when we do the lifts and I need the front ones. I'm gonna try to mod some Coilover shocks for the rear of a S-15 pickup.. They are pretty close to the same length, just the top will have to be changed. Should gain that extra inch of movement when you take off the back shock during cv axle swap.
  22. replace that cv axle it takes about 20 min to do per side on the back and for the driveshaft, I dont know where you live, but if the driveshaft is shot and you need to drive it you can take the driveshaft off, cut the ujoint out at the spindle (so its just the spindle that goes into the back of the tranny.) You can wire tie that spindle into the tranny (just make sure you make about 10 loops through it to the tranny or the mounting brackets) I had to drive 400 miles with mine like that, and it worked so good I left it like that for 2 months.. (make sure your car doesnt wheel hop its self into 4 wheel cuz your snap the wires holding that spindle in there)
  23. #1 easy to work on #2 cheap to drive #3 takes me everywhere I went with my lifted S-15 pickup #4 I hate all other brands of cars cept, for soob and GM
  24. what kind of logo are we gonna want on it? We should wait til we all get our lifts on, and take a group picture and use that for the pic on the logo and then I can put SCARE on there and make it look cool
  25. http://www.staugustinefwd.com/RWD/Staked/staked.html they sell the ujoints
