I'll try to call you tomorrow p.m. sometime. My little one is back in the hospital for a couple days after the entire last week. My only time to check this is when I rush home for a minute to feed the dog. . .

West Coast Subaru Show 7 Thread (real deal)
ezapar replied to ezapar's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Mick, would you mind adding a link to the site on the first post of this thread. I have no edit button here. Appreciated. EZ -
Here's a couple I took.

That thing looks sweet Austin. Using the Forester springs in the rear looks like it paid dividends. You've got some rake now. I've got sag. Maybe this coming weekend we can get some side by side photos of them togetherl. . .

West Coast Subaru Show website is now up!!
ezapar replied to Qman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I'm organizing it again, and again, I won't get a discount. -
Beer keeps the temper down when the damn thing won't line up right. lol I say your check list is pretty complete, but you're still short about 12 beers.

I got the forester struts for the imp.. now what? Zap?
ezapar replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Off Road
I used the impreza springs and tops. If I had it to do over again, I woulda hunted down some forester or outback springs for the rear to give it a slight rake. It seems to sit a little higher in the front. I've got a set of spring compressors if you wanna borrow them. Be aware that there are camber adjusting bolts for both front and rear. You can adjust it to match your new struts. I'd advise getting two new rear struts rather than just one. Bite the bullet and have a matching set. Feel free to call me if you have more questions. -
Tacoma Screw is a good local place to check. I bought some a few times from them, they'll have grade 10 even.

Tex, I think D and F kick rump roast. But, I'm looking for one that can be transfered onto a beer glass. . . F especially would make a killer t-shirt and or banner, but imagine how impossible it would be to etch that onto a beer mug. . . PK's last one in black and white - the circle would probably be perfect. I'm diggin 'em guys, keep it up. -
USMB turnout for this weekend's Rally X? 3/20/05

Whoohoo, they dug the tires. . . No really. lol I caught a LOT of folks looking at them and commenting. I was in the port-a-poddy listening to a couple guys oogle over them. Now just wait till we show up next time in a car that has power to push those bad boys! Like a built XT6? maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe. (sorry secret haters, hate away) -
I got to look at your Forester, those Coopers look sweet. How come ya didn't throw some mud out on the track? It was a blast. I didn't win or even get into the top five, but I think I got sixth. Whoohoo! Ken managed to get 3rd, beat me every lap in my own car! The video we got of it was worth the drive down. Big ol clods of mud flying. The car needs more power!! We talked about that, and I guess cams and an intake or more are in order. The tires had awesome traction, but it's tough for that 2.2 to spin all four tires very well. Fun just the same. Congrats Ken.

That's very cool. But German Crosses? Subarus? Choppers maybe, but Subarus? Las year had the outline of Oregon State, we thought it would be cool to go with the theme. Who knows? Maybe next year one or more of you California guys will wanna step up and spend the time and effort to organize it down there so it will be officially the West Coast show and not the Pacific Northwest show. I didn't name the show, I'm just trying to keep it alive. Blue and yellow rocks. btw. On yours Junkie. Could you shrink the WCSS7 and put it inside the state? The Soobie stars shrunk down and placed over Shelton is a cool idea too. -
And I will (providing your feedback is positive) add a link to his site to the Offroad FAQ sticky in the part where it points folks to buy lift kits. Your review will be added to the sticky somewhere as testimony either way.

I'm gonna tell you all this first. I did not touch the thread. There are several moderators, Someone else moved it. Second. If people want to advertise a product for sale, they can do so in the Marketplace. Not in any other forum, including this one. Third. Double and triple posting is not allowed. He not only posted his add here, he posted it in the old gen as a thread and also as a response to "Making a GL faster". And lastly. My only beef with the new kit are his own words about it. Those would be that he drove his kit for 10,000 miles then compared it to a BYB kit and made improvements to his. I'm not against anyone else selling kits, but don't wanna see anyone get their idea stolen so someone else can profit. Not accusing the new guy who does make me question him by his user name. Shady irishman. If anyone buys a kit from him and puts up a post with a review one way or another, I'll add a link to his website selling the kits right along side Mudrat and PK. I will post the review in the FAQ whether it is positive or negative. His work and service will speak for itself. The more lift kits the better. Lift 'em all and let god sort 'em out. is what I say. Way out of line Archemites. You don't like me, you even went so far as to say You have beef with me. Your reason being that I commented that we tell the newbies to search for a topic. You couldn't find the thread because you did a search for "Offroad FAQ". That was enough for you to fly off the handle and let the pms fly. If you would have instead searched for "offroad questions", or other words longer than 3 letters you would have had more success. That's fine, be mad at me. But you'd better watch how you attack a moderator in a public forum. And I'm not talking about the person ZAPAR, but the moderator priveleges themselves.

They do, but it's relatively quiet compared to Super Swampers. I can still hear the music fine. As a comparison, the other impreza we have has bridgestone potenzas from an 03 WRX. They seem to me to be about as noisey.
-
They're pretty much 26.5 like they claimed. The cool thing is that they are about an inch skinnier than my 205s. Come on by and check 'em out Mike.
-
You are soooooo much older than me. lol See ya Sunday bro.
-
PK worries about ripping off Brett. He mails Brett a check for every kit he sells.
-
Thanks you guys for the positive replies. The only lift is the addition of Legacy Outback Struts. They allow for a bigger tire. Here's a photo of it with the struts with 185/70/14s on it.

I've met plenty more than 20, it was just that there were 19 on line at the time. Kinda cool to surf the USMB and not be completely among strangers.
-
I looked at the user names logged in, and came up with 19 of ya that I've met in person. Probably a couple more of ya in "secret mode" too. lol Pretty cool, USMB has been good to me.
