Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
ezapar replied to NorthWet's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Give ol' Paul a good firm handshake for me. Glad to know you're almost there. -5, good lord! Remind me to never move to a place where it gets -5. lol -
It can and has been done. Austin's 80 wagon sports an adapter made by Mudrat.

Yeah, I've been priveledged enough to break bread with him, heck, I've even stayed at his house a couple of times. 4X'd with him too. :-p 6 times in all meeting with one another Mick? Here 3, there 3? -

Tell Indiana that his buddy Eric says hi! May as well tell his Dad and Verna the same. -
I would SO like to see that parked next to Scott's Brat.

all you ea81 guys, who think you have 150hp
ezapar replied to archemitis's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That Brat would be Ken's daily driver. Very reliable. I'm guessing you've never met Brian the Subaru Guru, he built it along side Ken. The RX that Sean (of RalliTek) built for Rally X was at least 160hp. It beat WRX's in the quarter mile, no shnit. 15lbs of boost. My impreza couldn't keep up with it, and I've beat up ea82ts plenty of times. I find it hard to believe you've only coaxed 120hp out of your motor. -
Taste of Subaru 2???

Could ya settle for WCSS7? Coming this Summer. -
You bet. Not trying to say the 3 door wouldn't make a good offroader. He asked which is better, or how it stacked up to a hatch, I gave my opinion. So far, the impreza outback wouldn't hold a candle to a hatch in the mud, no clearance. In the snow up to 2 feet or so. . ? The hatch could only wish it could keep up with the OBS and stay on the road at the same time. On gravel roads. . ? HA! When I'm done with the OBS, hopefully before WCSS7, it will give a standard lifted hatch a run for it's money offroad too. I'm sure of it. Ross's really was the sickness. Awesome car, I personally spotted him up the last few parts of upper 311 at Evans Creek.

The wheelbases of the wagon and the 3 door are identical. The 3 door will be a good offroader if you build it up some. Chances of it having an LSD are slim if it's not an RX. Sorry.

Then you are in the wrong forum. This, however was the question.

Big Dead Zone = Montana. Montana = 700 miles wide. The land of the lost when it comes to cell phones. The rest of the country, even S.D. had coverage. -
Might look good, but the ea81s are the best off roaders. Hands down. If you disagree cuz you own a lifted ea82, then it's cuz you never had a lifted ea81 to wheel.

Which cars came stock with 3.9 LSDs?
ezapar replied to Tom63050's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've seen one. It was on/in a XT6 on it's way into Aaron's Auto Wrecking. Couple years ago. -

That's too easy. Being from here, I got to tour her when she was there. Won't give it away for the others. -
His name's Jeff. I can't be there, not done with the imp yet. It's taller now.

Since I've got your attention. . . I tried several times to call you on Sunday, but no answer. So, I made the 100 mile round trip to Qman's and dropped off the wheels at his place. -
I try to buy my tires at Les Schwabb as aften as possible. The tires cost a little more, but you cannot beat the warrantee. I like to be able to speak face to face with a person when I want a company to make good on a warrantee. Call around to different shops, you'll find a big difference in prices.

That's right. It also depends on who you know. They are always abundant, just not apparent. -
What do you mean bluff? If you were anywhere around here when he did it, you woulda read about the carnage. We've yet to see your car offroad at all. None of the photos you've posted of it so far count.

I can't find the one you asked for Ken, I'll keep looking. But here's a couple of tippy photos for you all. Me in my brat, Ken in his hatch.

Napa sells the heli-coil kit (m10/125). Just tap the spacer, helicoil it, add new studs and it will work better than if you drill and tap the head. Really.
