Cool, not scared of 2 bucks. But, they (I'm told) are the same filters Subaru sells without the Subaru logo on them. Meaning about half the price. That, and the store my wife works at makes it so we can get 30% off of Automotive parts. That way I can buy several for oil changes down the road. That, and dealing with the parts counter at Carter Subaru (nearest dealership to me) is a real pain. They love to leave you standing, waiting for a good long time, and act like you're messing up their day by buying parts from them. I only go there if it's absolutely necessary.

changing the clutch

That's what a hefty floor jack is for. Just set it on the jack, roll it under the car, let the jack lift it into place. -
Speedometer Question
ezapar replied to Flowmastered87GL's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Fighting it might get you a "defective equipment" ticket, but don't think it will get you completely off. I got pulled over once for doing 65 in a 50 in BOB. Told the cop I'd just put on the tires, didn't realize they changed my speedo so much. He gave me a warning, said he liked my Brat. Who can say? -
Actually, there are 1 inch blocks all around the older outbacks. The newer ones have 2 inch blocks. It's all real similar to an ea 81 or ea82 lift kit. The struts are about an inch and a half longer too.

Indeed, PK doesn't see it as being very economical (and I agree) to make lift kits for the legacys and imprezas. Not only is a lift kit invloved, but the switchout to all new struts from a Outback. The struts a legacy comes with will not allow a bigger tire. If you wanna lift your legacy, you're gonna have to go to John or figure out how to do it yourself.

It's a wagon so the car seat can fit. . . The hatch just wasn't big enough for a car seat, speaker box, dog, and spare tire. . . You know I'll be bringing my boy with me when I offroad as soon as he's old enough to breathe. He'll be driving as soon as he's tall enough to touch the pedals and see over the steering wheel. -
Perry. If you decide to go with the xceleration, get ahold of Sean at Rallitek, I think he's gonna go that route too. Maybe you guys could save some shipping. . . I'll stand by my statement that Aussies have bad taste in tires. I've seen photo after photo of lifted soobs with big giant roo bars with plain old AT tires. . . . . .And. Although the Soob lift kit may have originated in AU, I think the USA has become the land of the lift kit. I've owned 9 lifted ones personally, http://community.webshots.com/album/37919799NGXlOA and been in the company of more than anybody in the world except maybe Brett himself. Several times we've had 10 or more lifted ones together at one time. check out the link below my sig.

That sucker looks sharp! Nice choice in wheels as well. Beautiful pictures, I grabbed the one of it against the big background for my wall paper. Awesome. Get any inspiration from the vids?

Those are the ones from the L, keepers to be sure. It is an OBS. . . 96. The hood has been replaced, but I believe they came on that car. . . I will be updating the bumper to the RS one so I can add foglights. Already have one lined up. -
