  1. Forgive me guys, I'm a little slower than I promised. Cammoman, yours will go out today. Morgan, yours will go out tomorrow, JWX, (your check came yesterday afternoon) hopefully yours will also go out tomorrow, if not, the next day. The whole car buying thing had me running around like crazy arranging finances and getting insurance and a few parts blah blah blah. Again, forgive me. questions? chairotsu at earthlink.net
  2. Yeah, but mine is known to be dependable with the 2.2. And, mine is mine. If I wanna rallyX it or take it to the woods, my wife isn't gonna tell me no like yours will. Thanks for the congrats.
  3. As soon as I can get the specifics and $ together to do it. Spent time at the Soob junk yard today looking at different Strut set-ups to see which would allow bigger tires. Found some. Now just need to pay back the $ I borrowed so I can get to buying some swampers to go on it. It's a 96. Need a bumper skin. Looking for one from an RS or newer OBS so I can get the fog light set-up too. . .
  4. Pester Sean at RalliTek. The RX we had had so much power it killed the stock clutch right away. Whatever set-up he came up with made that sucker smoke all 4. No shnit.
  5. We're gonna try to work it so we can keep both. A new trail rig? You just saw photos of it. Gimme a minute.
  6. Why lift it and put such girly street tires and wheels? Lift looks good, but the Aussies have bad taste in tires. SWAMPERS BABY!!!!!!
  7. New Gen Shmu Gen. I don't know but 5 of the folks who post there, so they'd be like "big deal". Happy man am I! It needs a little TLC to beauty it up, I can handle it. Already have the parts lined up. Runs and drives perfect!! 111k on the odo, 5 speed indeed! $4175 after tax, how'd I do?
  8. Let Sean walk you thru a few mods, it will be. and more. Nice ride. Too bad you're not gonna shove that ej22t into it. . .
  9. Go all the way, get the front end of a Wetfalia 4X and put a AWD tranny in it. You would have a truly pimpin Bug. I know it's gotta be possible, I've seen a turbo 4X bug at the RallyX a few times.
  10. I'll definitely add a link to this in the FAQ up top. Thanks for the write-up and photos.
  11. Time spent fabbin and stuff could also be spent out in the hills getting it muddy.
  12. I sent you an email. I hope to ship them on Tuesday, today the VCR belongs to my girl, she tapes a show every SUnday PM, and if I forget to put her tape in and shut off the VCR, I'm dead. Forum mods, please feel free to lock or delete this since I have the same post in off topic. thanks.
  13. You really do have to learn how to rebuild axles yourself. Simple stuff. Although it is in good hands, the time you took to drive it over there is about three times as long as it takes to do it. . . Qman nailed it though, that was my guess too. As for moving to Wyoming. . . I've been there 2 times, what a godforsaken (can I say that without offending biblethumpers?) place. . . Like a big desert with grass. They only have 4 numbers on the plates. lol The onlyu place I've ever been where I had to stop on the highway cuz a bunch of cattle were being hearded across the road. According to Jeapardy, it's also the coldest state in the Continental US. Don't do it FLO!!
  14. My impreza L deserves that motor, if I had one I sure wouldn't waiste it on a hatch or a brat. An N/A like Austin's, maybe, but no EJ20ts. . . I personally think brats are for offroad. My next project. . . ? That would be a semi secret, cuz when it's done, I wanna be the first to do it like I'm gonna do it.
  15. I can't be there, but tell 'em to not raise the entry fee any more, tell 'em it's too high as it is. . .
  16. I tried to be there, but the bastard child of Bellevue (ie:Redmond) confounded me and I couldn't find the meeting spot. I was also fighting the runs from food last night and had 0 patience for driving around looking for it. . . Next time let's have the meeting spot a little closer to civilization. as in I never cross those traffic filled bridges unless heading to the mountains. . .
  17. Here's what it would be like. http://www.autospeed.com.au/cms/article.html?src=suggestions&A=0728
  18. I posted in off topic, but you know how that goes. . . Long wait. I'm not gonna be accepting any more $ for the tapes. If you haven't already sent your $, keep it. If it shows up post marked after today, I'll send it back to ya. cheers EZ
  19. Where at in WA? If you're gonna be in Seattle, lemme know.

    lift qs

I'm stealing that from you John and putting it on the FAQ. . .
  21. I've bought and installed a whole bunch of PKs kits. The last few he didn't even send directions, it oonly said, "EZap's instructions, refer to memory and then just do it". I've got that checklist in my head now, it's cake.
  22. My hatch is my daily driver, I've put 3,300 miles on it since I put Swampers and a lift on it in September. Already lost count of how many times I've offroaded it. Pulling or installing a rear axle is a piece of cake.
