  1. I just got a letter from the police saying the 85 Subaru I sold you got impounded for not having insurance. That's a pretty uncool thing driving it around while it's in my name. Even more uncool to not have insurance on it. Please make it right.
  2. Cool! I just saw a crash up dirby with nothing but cars like that one. 2 drivers in each car. It was hilarious. There is a Yugo near here like that, they call it a "Wego".
  3. A DL Brat took the top prize for brats at WCSS3, and I know or a DL brat that's probably gonna take best in show this year. Just plain awesome job this guy is doing restoring it. The pearl paint job is enough, just wait! I ain't telling who's it is either.
  4. NO SA!!! Ken and I met up with my buddy Brian who had invited us up to play with the SNORT boys. THE BIG RIGS Big mixture of rigs, all much bigger than Ken's Brat. Well, they talked us into following them up to "The Wall". Found stuff that's right up there with the hardest/funnest stuff at Evans Creek. At the end of the day, nothing but big props for the Soob. From the biggest of the three rock crawling buggies. The guy who rode with me and Brian in his Toyota swears he's gonna buy one. hehe I didn't take many photos, but have some awesome footage I'll shoow off to locals who stop by to see it. I know now where we're having the Hatch Patrol Meet this year!!!! I can see/smell/hear the carnage now! SO how soon can you guys get your smack together to get up here for a weekend??
  5. As Speedbump said. All just fooling around. The only serious post was from mtsmith since he's earned the right to have an opinion. But, you did ask for ALL "Brat Masters", and if owning no less than 6 in the last 3 years and lifting 4 of them, and restoring and creating Bob doesn't qualify me, what does? I get all alarmed when folks do anything to a Brat but lift it. Here's what I do with them. http://community.webshots.com/album/37919799NGXlOA Good luck in keeping it running till you can get it back to 4x. (these days everybody is as "rich" as me) hehe, I'm as broke as I've ever been.
  6. Same to ya pal. Someone oughta make this guy a moderator.
  7. I swear, that's as nice as I could put it. :-\
  8. Sounds like a scam. Looks to be 2X, dude's claiming it's "AWD".
  9. I can't believe someone would make a Brat a 2X!!! I can't believe you guys are willing to help such a terrible thing happen. :madder: :(
  10. Speak for yourself. I ain't no dork. And when I want snow I just head to the mountains and play in it. Did so on Wednesday.
  11. Two questions. Why a new Hitachi when Webers are available? Have you tried messing with your timng to get it to match your new carb? Sean at RalliTek may be able to help you too. They are in SE Portland. 503-309-8645
  12. Ken chose to go around it, I wanted the photo. The rear tire slipped off to one side as I drove off of it. I was using as much finnesse as I could with an open diff. You can bet that by that time, Ken and I were already using finnesse as well as we could, we had Suby Beast to preach it to then. But the picture wasn't to point that out, it was to show the jagged edge of the rock so you could picture the dent in my tank. And yes there was a time when I was first learning. Way before I had that hatch. (and yeah, what Rob said. )
  13. That would be "shark fin". I found the photo. Got the dent on the way off of it. Before the HP new the Rubicon, it knew Walker Vallley.
  14. Only a few of us remember back to when I put a huge dent in my first hatch while going thru Walker Valley. The rock was good and sharp, but the tank didn't spring any leaks. The dent was big enough that it literally held a gallon less when I filled it after that. That hatch was un lifted though. Since then, I apply the finnesse approach. A little getting out and checking the right line is always recommended when in a situation that might bash your lifted Soobs gas tank. Heck, the Rubicon didn't even manage to put a dent in any of the three Soobs who went there.
  15. Yeah, you guys in New Jersey have better crimes to commit, like murder. LOL That's how I got into Soobs in the first place. A few rides in stolen ones about 20 years ago. Little gen one wagons. Got me into 4 wheeling too. Sorry to hear that Matt. Now I don't feel so bad finding that someone hit my hatch with an egg night before last. . .
  16. Adam kicks rump roast. Why do you think I keep trying to get him to move closer to Seattle?
  17. Not in August. Corky's right, this isn't about getting drunk, just about tasting beer. About being social and getting to know eachother. We're gonna have some pretty strict gruidelines to keep people from drinking and driving afterwards. May take keys in exchange for entry, may just remind everyone the Sherrif is sitting across the street. And he WILL be.
  18. It will be a cold day in Hell (can I say that?) when I drink a micro brew from a dixie cup. Hmm mm. Are we gonna drink cool ade or beer? I like the pot luck idea. There will be a beer garden during the day that will move inside during the evening.
  19. You'd be the guy with the little yellow gen one? Anything recent done to improve it? How's it coming along? It looked cool sitting in my yard for a week.
  20. I've been good friends with Mudrat for going on 4 years now. You'd be in good hands if you trust him to build a car for you. (or whatever else you put in front of him.) He doesn't just build Soobs, he 4X's them as extremely as they've EVER been 4X'd. (see photo below) It will take a minute, he's busy with family and many projects and a bit of a procrastinator, but that's what pestering is for. Email is a bad way to try to get a hold of him, always has been. Just call him.
  21. Make sure to attach the strut to the strut block before putting it on the car. He's very right about needing to beat on that spot on your tower. Also. If you do get your steering wheel wrong, it's pretty easy to pull it off and re-align it.
