You really do have to come over and get a look at my hatch. It will motivate you to do the same to your wagon. Ads for getting it muddy, here's what you'd be in for if you follow us to the hills. (you could always go around, but Austin is no woos.)

That looks sharp!

Sooner or later, it would have to happen.

Exactly as you describe. My q is what to do with the switch. Whis is a 2 prong one btw. I also have a 3 prong one, but it just won't fit where I wanna put it. Figure'd I'd use the relay instead. And thanks big time for all the diagrams. -

What I'm thinking. What I'm thinking. Thanks. EZ -
With a 3 inch lift, there should be no problem with the shifter or linkage.

I need help with my Soob. Simple, but I'm not sure. I wired up some lights. I chose to use a relay. The relay goes to 1. power 2. ground 3. lights 4. switch All good. My problem is with the switch. One wire comes from the relay, the other goes where? To ground or back to power? What makes me confused is that the relay gets power. . . (sorry if this isn't completely Soob related, but I don't know a site to go to to ask how to)

When I tell peole my 86 hatch just turned 200, they say "NO WAY!!!!" It looks good and young for its age.

Weird. The last several I've done I started on the front to get the hard part out of the way. . . The back is usually pretty cut and dry. Definitely undo the tension on your torsion bar and unadjust your front struts down before hand.

I'm not totally familiar with the area, but a few of the OR locals say there is 4X fun not too far away. Let's hope so. As for food on site, there will be consesions and possible meals available. We'll tell everybody with plenty of notice. If there is not, we'll advise everybody to bring food ahead of time. There are pay-showers and nice bathrooms. Sunday or Monday we'll have a much better idea of how it will go down. We'll promptly drop the old sticky up top and put up an official thread with proper details and stuff. EZ

If you have any kind of mechanical in you, it should go on pretty easy. The toughest part about the lifts that I've found is simply getting the bolts on the underside to let go when they have a whee bit of rust built up. The two on each side for the rear shocks can be a bitch too. Be EXTRA careful not to crossthread bolts going back in. The front half often requires a buddy to pry one way or another with a bar on the suspensions to line it up for the new longer bolts.

T-topping a DL brat vs. windshield -- Chef Tim?
ezapar replied to baccaruda's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Chef Tim did it to his hatchback. Ask him how. -
I think they are. I brought two dogs to a RallyX there and they had no problem. Will bring that up too.

Room for 200+. There are on -site pay showers. Will look into the carwash.

There will be one.

E10 torx socket. About 10 bucks from Snap-on.

Hood River OR, West Coast.

Ken and I will be taking a trip to Hood River to talk out the details with the Fairgrounds people. Please speak up with questions you'd like us to present. Any suggestions? Anything you'd like to see happen? ie: stereo competition, beer tasting, etc. . .? On topic stuff appreciated.

West Coast Subaru Show is set!!!!
ezapar replied to Qman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Car show, not car stereo show. I'd personally be against that. I believe there are neighbors of the Fairgrounds that that would anger. We'll be making a point of asking folks to keep the music down. But, don't consider it a for sure "no way". We'll go there next weekend to work out the little details with the park people, I'll try to remember to bring it up and ask what's up. -
Yes it does. We had 6 extras at the Rubicon and used all but one. Funny thing is, before that I'd only seen one break ever.

who's that dis'n the Justy?!
ezapar replied to RallyJusty's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
To me, these ea81s are only for offroad. To race one on the street is and looks rediculous. Any damn car out there can beat my hatch in a straight line. Who cares? Try and follow me thru Evans Creek or Reiters Pit in a justy. . . Don't think any rump roast kicking would be happening there. The hatch in the photo was stock except for the wheels/tires. The photo was taken on the way back down those rocks. Good luck getting a justy in to even give that rock a try. huh uh. -

ezapar replied to RallyJusty's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
A justy won Production at the last RallyX. Looked god doing it too. But, when I was leaving the WCSS2, I heard someone ask another if my hatch was a justy. That pissed me off. -
Vera (sp?) kicks rump roast!! My wife feels about the same, she's able to co-exist peacefully with my Soobs and my Soob friends. Shoot, half the time we go out you'll find her riding shotgun or manning the camera.

Rogue Roo's, sticker go/nogo

I wasn't sure what he was trying to say, just figure'd he knew what he was saying. Was planning on asking why the apostrophe.
