LOL That would be me. I thought the same about the possibilities of a 5 speed. Thanks for the good reviews. EZ

I know this is more of a meet and greet topic, but that place is a ghost town. The event is only a week away, I'll delete it prompty after. MORE SUBARUS THE BETTER!! Makes a cool impression on the crowd to see a big group show up at the same time. Makes us look semi-organized. hehe I live really close to Northgate Mall, we could all meet there at say 09:30 in front of Toys R Us located on the South Side of the mall. . . There's an on-ramp to the Southbound express lanes right there. (we can meet with others at a more Southern location to grow bigger) That will get us to the RX at @ 10:30, giving us ample time to change tires, register, tech and get a feel for the track and surface and stuff.

The WRX springs will fit. I have some and have test fitted them on my 97 L sedan. But, we had concerns as to how high it would ride. SO, they sit in my garage waiting till I get the time for some trial and error. We figured we could cut a quarter of a turn off of the springs to make it ride at the right height without ruining the ride. I used KYB GR2s with my stock springs. The car is very happy now, rides good and stiff, but not like a rock if you know what I mean. The GR2s are said to have a 30% stiffer ride than the stock RS struts.

Rob's been able to hang with us the whole time. He just always did it in a Mazda pickup. :lol You'll notice EZ didn't go into the deep part of the mud holes, he doesn't have any protection for the disty or carb. Here's some photos I took from the video I shot. http://usmb.net/gallery/HatchPatrol04 I'm hopin' that one of you will produce video of my little escapade up on the hill where I slid down into the ravine. . . -

What's wrong with pvc? If done right it won't look so bad. Here's the one we put on Ken's old hatch.

A buddy is joining me Sat a.m.with or without a Jeep, maybe we could just meet at my house. Leave 8 prompt. cough cough. -
From my pre-Weber days. . . A cheap easy effective "snorkel" for your Hitachi and its aircleaner is to just simply tie a red rag around the end of it. It will stop water from getting into your carb- once. You can then rotate it to a dry spot. Very little water will get past the red rag to your filter. A simple piece of vacuum hose sent back to the spare tire area can work wonders too. Red rag the end anyways. It will keep some dust out too.

Mike. What's the plan for Sat? What time do you wanna take off? You wanna leave together, I can show up at your house, you just give me a time. Looks like Ken's in, everybody else with lifted cars is scared to 4 X them. Twill be like old days it seems, jsut the three of us. . . IS anybody else in? ? ? My cell is back up and running, gimme a call. EZ

Summer camping/wheelin' schedule? (WA)
ezapar replied to Mike W's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
That's an even lamer excuse than "my girlfriend would be pissed." What's cooler than a lifted daily driver? I've been sporting a lifted Soob, in one form or another, as a daily driver for years now. -
