  2. If you guys go up there with some humility and use your spotters rather than mashing the pedal, you should indeed have a great time. Sitting around fixing broken stuff is not necessarily having a good time.

  5. Like I said. Take one of the trails from the top of the hill. This should go for most of you, maybe try out your Soobs at Evans before tackling the tougher trails. Lower 311 isn't so bad, but several of the other trails are pretty tough to climb.
  6. I'll never say never. We first did these trails in stock ea81s with 13s. It beat the crap out of the cars, but we did some trails. You would do better to drive to the top and take a trail down hill rather than try to climb one right away.

  8. I've been out three times already, but being that it wasn't in a Subaru, you have to find me talking about it in another forum. Did Evans twice and a bit of the Nachees trail too. Got the winch on the new bumper, am ready for whatever.
  9. Doh, late August, early August... lol Still gonna be dry and dusty, very little mud or water.
  10. I would just go to nasioc and ask what they put on the new imprezas. Same car, should be the exact same fit for the exhaust.
  11. There are some spots where there are sharp rocks, but you should be fine with ATs. There was still some mud when Ken and I went up last weekend, but I expect it all to be dried up by late August for sure.
  12. I'm not trying to be a smart rump roast. The end of August here in WA is the same as the end of August in Oregon. Hot and dusty. There shouldn't be any rain between now and then, the fire danger should be par for August, should be high. The very best way for you to see the trails is to you tube Evans Creek. I don't expect any mud.
  13. You have to change out the top hat from the legacy onto the outback strut. You will also want to beat back the inner area behind the springs or they will rub on the car.
  14. Went up with Ken and scouted the trails. Found one we never knew about before. Definitely the most technical, super twisty and off camper stuff. Am eager to do it again, wanna see you guys make it up it.
  15. With the xv, it involves opening and closing the door, turning the key on and off and clicking and unclicking the driver's seatbelt 20 times. Secret handshake indeed.
  16. lol. No, The trip computer is not to be trusted. It's close, but acts screwy. Warming up the car counts against mpg. . . doh. I do it the old fashion way, divide miles on the odometer by gallons added to top off the tank.
  17. I love mine. Took 3 buddies to Oregon and back. Got roughly 31 mpg, but I was doing 80 or so most of the time. Pretty happy to fill the tank, drive to PDX, drive around, then drive home and still have a 1/4 tank left!

  19. For way cheaper, I did the bed of my truck with Rustoleum. They have it cans that you can roll or brush on. Made it look sharp, is pretty durable, and easy to touch up.
