I honestly don't have an answer for that question. I've never met you, I have no idea if you have any kind of driving skills. The trails were made with Subarus in mind. So yes, probably.

The trails on our property were blazed with Subarus in mind. The trails are techincal, but very doable. My mudhole will swallow most Subarus, but don't worry, I have a winch. The drive from Pt Townsend is pretty too. We have lots of time, I'm just throwing this out there to get an idea of how many will be at the show in off roaders so I can put something together.

Pt Townsend is my neck of the woods and I'm thinking about inviting a few Soobies for a short cruise and a little bit of 4X fun in the mud on some fun little trails. . .

I would choose a Toyota for a couple of reasons. The availablity of parts. The availability of aftermarket parts. I don't see very many old Nissans on the road. I do see lots of old Toyotas on the road.

Wow, that felt sketchy, so we backed off. The tiltometer was at 40 degreees. You're welcome out there anytime Jessie.

Went out to the family cabin over the weekend. Couldn't have had better weather! Jessie met me out there, we got to play on the trails some. I gotta give it up for his skills as a driver, I didn't have to pull him out of anything all day. Superswampers are all that. There, I got stuck and had to winch. Happy now?

Yes. Somewhat central location, + unequalled camping area.

I think that weekend would work for me Jeff. I'll run support. I don't see it. We made it thru about the same amount of trails, did lots of come-a-longing, broke plenty of stuff, had flat tires. . . Same story as today. The red one has the first BYB kit to make it to the US. Thinking back, the pic was maybe actually 2000-01 or so. Here's the first Subaru "off road" meet I'm aware of. First trip to Evans Creek in the Summer of 1997. That would be me on the right.

This was @1999, our second time up there.

What would be your "line" on this hill climb? Worth the wait to see it in 1080p

Careful, that place is geared towards motorcycles, there's lots of them zooming around trying to get hit.

As it sits tonight. brrrr. Have had a blast these last few days, tore up the city pretty good, lots of donuts around those yellow islands on back street intersections. Pulled 4 people out with my truck today. Amazing how easily it drags them, even with all four tires on ice, going up a slight hill

Why yes, yes it is.

A couple real quick, plenty more later. I have a couple vids of us going up the Express Way.

We're wheeling for his bday this weekend, the 4th we gather and fill up a hall and party down as one big family. Tahuya's not really wheeling anyways Brain.

Expressway shmessway.

Looks to me like he did a kick arse job putting that thing together. I'm betting that he got a little mud and dirt on the belts, big deal if they're squeaking. He can obviously drive the hell out of that thing, his skills with the rear steer are remarkable. Those folks on the side of the trail should get the f back and out of the way, like behind trees. At WCSS3, we had a guy there in a sooped up XT6 that did some pretty crazy stuff, I was lucky enough? to get ito the passenger seat and go for a ride. That's one of the most impressive vids I've ever seen when it comes to the off road. baddass!
-
Sure, put some ugly guy in the pic to make your ugly car look pretty. Looks like it's coming along nicely Brain.
-
mmhmm. And you've formed this opinion because you've had both and have had the chance to drive them on the highway and around sharp corners? That's not the opinion I've formed after owning both, I can tell you that. We called this one the Weeble for a good reason.
-
God those conditions look SOOOOOOO fun!! I really need to test the new set up in some good sloppy sticky mud. Here's hoping the next one is doable for me. Killer pics as always.
