  1. You can always park at my house and drive my imp. It's kinda fun (ner) now with new struts, lowered, and on the new BFGs. Very sticky.
  2. I can help you with the brakes, I have extra time on my hands these days. I have a garage, I'm in South Seattle.
  3. Not neccessarily old school, not neccessarily new school. Just get a group of USMBers together in a parking lot for a photo shoot and meet and greet. Any time soon, say 2 weekends from now? Sunday the 10th? NOON at Alki at the boat launch. We can retire up the hill to a local pub for frosty beers or root beers. There's decent food and pool and darts. You don't have to be 21 to get in during the day. We can also think about a cruise (yeah, I said cruise) around the Seattle area for some sight seeing. Maybe take the slow way to Golden Gardens? What's up? _________________________________________ Who's in? Zap Yo'J corvette Qman one eye scoobywagon kelsomcgrath 86ruguy Craig jbbvw a few maybes. Ed? ROb? 4. What Ed said. And sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at the XMas tree run. 5 speed is worth it if your 4 speed is bad. You'll be pulling it to do a clutch, might as well put a 5 speed in its place. You can get a much strunger clutch kit for a 5 speed, you'll want it if you put big rump roast tires on it.
  5. I'll have time this year. But not for the first part of the schedule. I didn't get to do any last year.
  6. Welcome, cool read. In a 79 Brat? Only one answer to that. Yes.
  7. I had a blast, that was just what the doctor ordered. . Had 3 lifted older gen soobs chace my slightly lowered imp up the mountain. Fun game of tortoise and the hair. Take off, wait up , take off etc. I managed to get it high centered when the snow suddenly got really deep and I fell thru the crust. Thanks Jessie for your patients in helping get me back on the trail. We had to dig him out twice too. I didn't feel so bad, a hundred yards up the trail, 2 jeeps and two big pick ups were also stuck and being winched out or tugged by the two MASSIVE Unimogs. It was too cold to hold onto a camera, but I took a few pics.
  8. Welp. . . I'm out, I got fired today and will need to conserve all my funds for trying to make my mortgage this month.
  9. Welcome to the USMB. I'm old school on Nasioc. My offer to let you use my garage is still open.
  10. Send me back my Sonics, and I'll make the trip.
  11. I get it now. You guys did call me within 10 minutes of eachother. Of course my phone's a pile of &*%# and I never hear it ring. When I checked caller i.d., I only noticed 360 #s and didn't look closer to see they were different. Sorry about that Breeke. But yeah, they're sold to Chad.
  12. Welcome. But I'm confused. You called me about the tires, and are coming to get them this afternoon. But Breeke, said he had just called me at the same time last night. . . Either way, see you this afternoon Chad.
  13. No biggie, my feelings aren't hurt. My point was that after orgainizing a bazillion Subaru meets, usually about half of the folks who say they'll show up do. You guys LOVE to back out at the last minute, most of you in this thread have at one time or another. So, you guys will find that only 3 or 4 of you will drive a long distance to meet. The "RX show". I brough my impreza. It involved meeting at wongleflute's for burgers and then they followed me on some cool rump roast roads to go to another spot to meet and take photos. Have fun twitch. I'm pretty sure my lifted coupe is about the rarest Subaru on the planet. Should be one of 2.
  14. So Brats only? Meaning 4 of you will drive X amount of long miles to meet and take pics? How about make it an ea81 meet? You could still park the Brats next to eachother and take pics? I'll drag my coupe up the hill. . .
  15. Two dogs and a bicycle lock on the gate these days. That sucks Tex.
  16. We have a Snap on 18v at work. That sucker will pull off just aobut any bolt on the cars all day long. Once and a while it won't, which means we have to use a breaker bar. It's no joke.
  17. No Subaru to root for, but the HD Theater Channel is gonna begin broadcasting the WRC here in my area on Oct 4 at 8 p.m. HD! Hell yeah!
  18. WE have several 96-99 Outbacks at the J/Y I work at. One has 322k on it, the others are at over 200k. These are cars that came to us because they were hit hard and totalled. Indeed. If the head gasket goes, change it.
  19. Here, allow me. This is taken from another post I put up in the off road section. Here's a list of Stuff to have with you on any given day for wheeling.
