  1. I have your cd all made up, it's in an envelope and everything. It will mail soon. The board went down and I couldn't access your adress. Then I forgot.

  2. The "Worm" trail at Evans has dropped feet over the years. The rocky area before the crest of lower 311 has really changed. Maybe the biggest change is the rock climb under the power lines at Reithers. You can barely even tell it's the same place these days. When we first went past that rock at Walker V, you had to drive over it or scrape past the wall next to it. At least one of the rigs with us lost a corner light there.
  3. Not bad for a pretty stock truck. I have the photo of a Brat trying this too. . .
  4. eBay is the best place to shop for clutches adn the like. Cheap and easy.
  5. Nice turnout! ea82s eh? I was right behind you, No but really, it's amazing how the trail has eroded over the years. I recognized the "Shark Fin" right away! I really dig the sedan, beautiful car.
  6. How'd you miss the Soobie at 30 seconds? Just watching that hurts my kidneys! I'm going next year, that looks like some side splitting laughter. Thanks for the link. Only one didn't finish besides the bug, yep, the Jeep at the beginning. :-p
  7. My Toy has a 3 inch spring lift and 33s. Other than that, it's stock. You can hate it all you want, and that's fine with me. You can have all the fun you want poking at us to try to get us riled up, that's fine too. I love my trouble-free truck. I love how it wheels, I love how it doesn't complain about being loaded to the bump stops with gravel or whatever else I put in it. I dig how it starts up and runs even on the coldest days. I like that I can tilt it and it purrs like a kitten. Every time I drove my last Brat, I thought to myself, "I'd sure hate to sell this if I needed the money." Every time I drive/drove my Toy, I said to myself. "F that Brat, I'll never sell my Toy." The ONLY thing I'd trade it for would be a 4runner the same year and condition, cuz I could use more seats to bring my family along. No contest.
  8. Nice pix! They show me that it's way more capable than I first thought from your older shots. Very cool!
  9. Glad to see you got some internet Scott. Best of luck on the rest of the trip.
  10. You'd do well to do a search. This has been discussed many times. But if you want a reliable maker and an even better kit. Go with SJR and save yourself the many emails and posts asking where your kit is after you order it.
  11. Here's one that's a little more pin pointed. . . http://www.wunderground.com/US/OR/Astoria/KAST.html
  12. There should be video of it at WCSS6? on one of my vids Mick.
  13. Scott said to clear coat it too. It looks good, but he said it would tarnish. Just one more thing that will make this car unique.
  14. You're not kidding about what a pain it is if you don't. A good lube will make all the difference.
  15. One last thing. Walk them down a little at a time. 1/4 inch each or so, then the other, then back and so on.
  16. When you do the adjustments, you'd do yourself a favor by lifting the wheels off the ground first.
  17. Kinda blury, but you get the idea. Scott cast it out of aluminum. A little black paint and some time with the dremel. . . The original had some flaking of the chrome.
  18. Indeed, and I agree. The photos can be priceless.
  19. No biggie Brian. This thread came about when we went off topic in rkirky's thread. Light hearted ribbing is welcome. Discussion and contribution even more so.
  20. Back to the original car in question. Digging around, I came across this one. It's got to be my favorite one of that car. Couple more.
  21. Ok cool Will. I'll take your comments with a grain of salt now that you've explained yourself to me. I have to admit, I've been on trails I had no business on. The first time at Evans Creek, I was with a group of stock Soobs. We only got to do one trail, and it took us all day. But it made me want to get serious about wheeling Soobs. This was @96. This was about 93 or so. I got it stuck all of the time. It was a jeep that pulled my soob out. (but he charged us 10 bucks) He wasn't able to pull out the one next to me, we had to go find someone with a winch and snatch block. Here's one to give you a tickle. The guy was showing off at WCSS3 and wound up on his side. But it happens to the best of us.
  22. It says H6 on the back. . . Who knows?
