Pics from the RX meet yesterday.
ezapar replied to audio_file's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I'd post on teh other thread, but it's a pain to wade thru the conversation about how often Rob has to pee. Unbeknownst to us, it was snowing and sticking on the grass at my buddy's softball game about 3 miles away. Nuts. Can't. . .go. . .any. . . faster. . . they're. . . gaining. . . -
North Seattle RX Meet: DISCUSS

The correct term has always been "greasy wongleflute's". -
So. I'm keeping the 4X140. What's involved in swapping in an ej trans? Can I just swap cups, or do I have to cut an dsplice two axles together? Thanks.

Anybody still sell DRIVER side brat fenders?
ezapar replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
They're about 6 blocks from my house. Aaron hasn't owned it in some time, I'm pretty sure you either delt with Tom the owner or Lenny the other guy. And uh, if that guy that's coming today buys the brat and doesn't ask for the fenders that you're gonna haul for me, we can work a deal for the driver's side one for cheap. . . EZ -
Nice list. But I'd ammend the chain part to say straps and add a tree strap. Chaining up to a tree is a NONO! Here's the list I added to the FAQ I let drop for a while so new conversation like this can be generated. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50958

Were ya wondering why your decals weren't visible in the pics of my car? Well, it's cuz I just can't bring myself to put a purple decal on my cars. :-\ So my buddy McBrat whipped these up. Plus a few others I haven't decided on placement yet. Thanks for the custom lift kit man, I'm happy as hell. Happier when the thing gets on the road.

Your best bet when wanting info about Delta Cams, would be to give them a call and get your answers straight from the source. I only know of a couple of folks who used their cams, and none of those have piped up here. I can speak for Qman when I say that the cams make a substantial difference. His little Brat is a screamer!

My onld man is BBQing at his house this evening, staring at about 5 if anybody wants to show up early and hang out there for a little beforehand. I'm gonna try out the all terrains in the mud hole. The mud hole so far has been no match for my swampers. Guess I'd better remember to put a couple of straps behind the seat. Ken, you guys could do your decals before or after the meet at his house.

Brat + off road lights question
ezapar replied to ezapar's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I think what I might do is paint an extra set I have. Just blast them black on the inside. That ought to kill the glare. -

By shade, you mean "eyebrow"? -
Can you guys with Brats with t-tops and off road lights mounted on a roll bar give me some insight about your experience? Do they light up the dash too much is what I'm getting after? I kinda wanna check before I go buying a set and finding out the hard way. Thanks.

I can take down my "WTB: Roll Bar" sign now.

Here's the fresh paint. Kinda crappy light, but you'll see it in person soon enough I'm sure. -

Bro's 6'7. He's actually fairly comfortable in it. We drove a gen one to Pat and Jerry once, drove a gen 2 home. He hated the gen one, but the gen 2 wasn't so bad at all. -

The kicker is that it'll fit under the canopy! Very happy to confirm that this a.m. !! Right ~ a country mile! Still no paint, it's too cold and damp today. That and it took all day yesterday, so I owe today to the family. And my Brother Marty, who did all the welding and to who I owe another big debt. (That old brat don't look so big next to old Marty now does it? lol) -

The roll bar was originally almost 7 inches too wide. So we cut that out of the center. Then we cut a slice down the middle and used the piece to sleeve the inside. (recognize the hammer Miles?) I had fun using the laser to first make the trace the lines we'd be cutting, then to line the bar up to make sure it was nice and sexy straight accross the top.
