  1. Sorry I quit reading at Subaru made the ea82 in 86. I did a search, and can't find a 1985 rx in the two door. . . I'll keep my eye out for local hatches for ya 22.
  2. Yeah, it's got an Accell. Concensus seems to be fuel filters or coil. I'll try the fuel filters first this weekend. I'll buy into the cold air messing with it too, but I haven't driven it since I got back to see if it's still doing it.
  3. Killer pics and story guys. That looks like a blast. I hope we have that much snow for the Xmas tree run.
  4. 85 ea81, has a Weber 32/36 on it. Yesterday while I was headed up the highway to the pass, it started cutting out. It was up a big hill, I was in 3rd. I found that when I let off the gas, it would run better. At 3 grand or so, it runs like a champ. Get the rpms closer to 4k, it freaks out and starts cutting out. It did not do this on a previous run up the same route, so I don't think it's an elevation thing. Things I think it may be. Coil is weak. Bad Gas. Clogged secondary jets. Fuel pump. Weak alternator. (Voltage drops when I hit the lights, more for the heat. With nothing running, it sits at 14, with just about anything on, it drops to 12.)
  5. Bundled up the boy and headed on up to Snoqualmie. The brat was running a little goofy today, so I didn't go too far up into the Snow Park. The new tires work like crazy at 35 lbs. They'll have to really kick rump roast at 20 or so. Dunlop Radial Rovers. Managed the better part of the hill climb before the off camber part got the best of me. I didn't want to get too crazy with the boy in the car anyways. With a better run, I coulda made it. (wink)
  6. Unless when you buy your old brat back it still has the LSD you originally sold it with. lol It works, but it's no locker. Proved that to myself today. I made it till the off camber really steep spot. Half way up that, no more go. I also took it kind of easy cuz my 2 year old was riding shotgun. Pretty impressive standing at the bottom.
  7. I had changing in/out and axle down to 6 minutes in the ea81s. That's not that big of a deal, ea82s are pretty close t being as easy. If it's gonna snow, put the axle in the day before.
  8. Welcome. I've got my Subamutliosis pretty much in recession. lol I only have 3 Soobs. I'll keep an eye out for a hatch if you're really serious about aquiring one. I've had a few, I know what to look for. http://community.webshots.com/album/37919799NGXlOA
  9. Flame won't help you. When he gets his wheel, I'll unlock the other thread. Like I said.
  10. A few years back, I checked junk yards for a small solid axle. I think it was a 77 or 78 Toyta Carona that I found a matching 3.9. It looked very feasable to hook up the whole suspension to the Subaru. I htink it was 2 link set up.
  11. I sent an email. . . No response, here or via email. Hello. Tony. . .
  12. There was a time when I had dial up. That time ended in September or so. Before that time ended, I did not bother to look at videos posted, because it took too long to down load them. With that time ended, I now can look at videos. Sometimes I post them unaware that the links were posted before because I did not have the internet speed to view them. Please have it in your heart to understand. It has also been brought to my attention that Mike W. posted that vid and several others that I posted some time ago. Feel better yet?
  13. Before we're gonna allow another group buy, you guys should finish shipping the products you owe people. See your last thread below. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=671291#post671291 Untill then, please stop your sale. PM me when everybody's satisfied, I'll unlock this thread and lock the other. Thanks EZ
  14. You guys are too kind. This Brat won't see too much off road in its life with me. The swampers are more for shows and meets. Ken happened to it.
  15. The bumper is actually attached to the Abar, but it unblots really easy. The Abar has a big old gnarly skid plate on it that just clears the y-pipe.
  16. Thanks man. I like rake. That and the torsion bar has to be up all the way to clear the tires. They rub on the bolts on the mudflaps. I need to take them off and use ea82 style ones. Cut out the innards and attach them to the side of the car with good old self tappers. They are pretty tall tires, a wee bit taller than my 27/8.50 swampers. 205/75/15. Clearance Clarence.
  17. Well, not new exactly. These were on the OBS when it met its demise. Scored some Turbo pugs and pow! Not too bad looking. I can't stand to use the Swampers on the road, and there was now way I was gonna be able to sell my 5 days worth of use tires and get my money back.
  18. If you're in, I'm in Mike. I think I twisted Ken's arm enough to get him to show too.
  19. The contact on his pop-up riddled site says this is his #: (541) 840-7251 Try that. . .
