Have you looked to see if one of your axles busted. I've seen them break at the joint and still stay inside the boot, looking like they were intact.
-
A broken stub axle will do the same thing.

Dude, you really should proofread before you hit the "post" button. Not much of your post makes any sense. -
It's called reckeless driving, or at least neglegent. Probably cost a license too. Yep, enroll in the rally school. Everybody I know who took it said it helped them. Rally video games work too. They'll give you the basic idea of how to set up a car for a turn or drift. They'll teach you about how to pick a line too. The school will let you apply what the game teaches you. (this from a guy who never took the school, but consistantly places on the podium)

Here's me in Ken's Impreza doing a lap at last year's Subiefest's RallyX, Ken went before that, And the other Ken before that, Thanks to Ed for shooting it and Tex for putting it online.

So I wonder. . . How come your aren't hitting up the AUSubaru board? Those guys lay claim to the gnarliest offroading you can do in a Subaru. (Although I still haven't seen any pics to back that up) They'll tell you they invented the sport. . . As for wanting to see pics and video of Soobs going up stuff like that. The video exists, (the rock climb under the power lines at Reiters for example) you just live too far away to send off my hard earned video to. For a couple hundred bucks, I can buy a ticket and show up anywhere in the US to kick the crap out of anyone I find out is pirating my vids. (I'd do it too ) AU is just too far away to police. See, the cool thing is: Folks have to trade me a physical addy for my vids.

It's funny to log on here and find you had posted this pic. I was just transfering the footage I shot of that climb (essentially the last time Ken's brat was seen alive) onto DVD. . .
-
Sorry, I'm sworn to secrecy. :-p
-
I heard a rumor about a pretty sweet Soob off road vid coming out on DVD.
-
Groups bigger than 5 tend to be too hard to manage. . .
-
Sorry to hear you think that. I saw Ken's brat go up Cadillac Hill at the Rubicon. Filmed it too. I drove a 3 inch lifted hatch with an LSD and 26 inch Coopers up the upper 311 trail at Evans Creek. Did it with a Brat with the same specs. If that's not impressive offroading with a Soobie, nothing is.
-
I think my route is pretty direct. . . 169 out of Renton, thru Maple Valley, then on to 410 in Enumclaw, then to Buckley and I'm there. I've been taking that Route since I first went to Evans in 98. . . I'm stickin' to it my friend.
-
Yeah, pretty much. I go thru Black Diamond and Enumclaw via Renton. I like the route cuz it's somewhat close to places to get help if I need it. It takes me an hour and a half to Enumclaw, add 1/2 half hour, and yeah, 2 hours. But, I did make it from Ken's place to my house in 40 minutes one time in Naomi's old imp. (Half the reason we got rid of that car)
-
9:30's fine. I have to drive the better part of 2 hours one way to get there, what's Rob's time, 15 minutes? Like Ken always says. "You'll have plenty of time to sleep when you're dead."
-
I'm personally psyched to perhaps get an ORV park going in that area. My Father's cabin is pretty close, so playing there will be convenient. I lived in Quilicene as a kid for a few years.
-
I'll go depending on 2 things. 1. Ken gets his rig trail worthy. 2. Not too much more snow falls. I'm still open unlike the rest of you badasses.
-
Kyle! I'm all sorts of happy you got it back and on the road! Out of all my old Soobie 4Xs, that's the one I miss the most. How's the motor holding up? You ready for a 2.2 swap yet? Shoot me a call.

Subiefest Rally X thread. Got pix or stories?
ezapar replied to ezapar's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
I hate my camera, maybe just my knowledge of how to use it, but it takes crappy action shots. Anyways, you get the idea. -
Had a blast! More fun than I've had at a Rally X ever. ever. I was pretty honored to get a chance to run after a proper Subie Rally car went around the track a couple of times. Thanks Paul. Great job, what a sweet course. I usually hate slaloms, and this track had 3. They made it really run, cuz they were fairly high speed slaloms, really made me work. I'll get the couple of pics up in a minute. Anybody have any of me or Qman. Got my wagon in action?

If you make the trip out to WA, I'll stand still and let you hit me a couple of times with raquet balls. lol Yeah, it came with the spaggetti string 13mm, I added a 20. I handles remarkabley well with the stiff struts and the 225 series tires. Surprises people all the time.
-
Looks sharp! Now you have to get some tires to fill those tall holes.
-
That's what I wanted to hear! I'm hoping the guy who said he wanted to get into selling ej lifts will see this thread and consider it motivation to come out of mothballs. (Has it been two months yet?) I put the tires on it and dropped the jack. That's how it was sitting, so I took a picture. Sorry to fool you guys, but I promise the next thread you see like this from me will be for real. (late happy april fools day or something)

December 2. Meet at Enumclaw Miky D's at 9:30, planning on leaving there at 10 sharp. Come on up and join us, it will be fun for the whole family!! Bring your kids and dogs. UPDATE!!! We went yesterday(Saturday) and there will have to be some minimum requirements... Snow tires will be required for AWD vehicles. 4WD trucks must have good tires! No baldies! Anyone running swampers should be OK. You will need extra clothes, shovels, food and extraction equipment(ie, shovels, straps, sand etc). And most importantly, common sense. Vehicles that do not have these things will not be allowed to travel with us. Don't mean to be harsh but safety is a bigger concern than upsetting someone.
