People friendly dogs are welcome. They may demand you keep it on a leash. . . -
I almost deleted this thread cuz it has too much to do with Jeeps, but this photo is too funny. Driver or Jeep error? I guarrantee this hole was tougher to get thru.

Whatever time the staff gets there. I'm guessing 9 a.m. or so. After that I think they'll let people in. Ken and I should be there around 2-3 depending on traffic and caravan delays. I understand about those coming from far away, but encourage people to try to hold off on showing up untill 4-5 p.m. EZ -
The Fairgrounds won't be open for us untill Friday. We officially only have the grounds for Saturday and Sunday, but they've been kind enough to let us use them on Friday for set up and for people coming early. If you show up on Thursday, they'll turn you away. Please don't. Please plan your trips accordingly.

I think we counted 60 cars last time on Friday night at Hood River. Friday is a good chance to get to know some folks ahead of the rest. It will also get you a better choice of tent spots. Might get you recruited as "Event Staff" too. -
Very helpful. And very on the mark about travel and traction. Articulation is everything. Wheels on the ground = traction. I'd like to see you imitate the above picture with your spring lift and your VLSD. BTW, VLSDs are garbage when it comes to offroad. Well, if off roading involves anything but absolutely flat terrain like you're used to. But like Chux said. If you don't have any money, you have no business asking these questions anyways. But your question is answered, this thread is done.

It would stand to reason that if you lift any vehicle, you would aquire new driving habits. Quick turns would be a thing of the past. My Toyota has the better part of 2 feet under the door sill. I don't spend time worrying about roll overs, I drive differently. More space between me and the person in front of me, less speed in the corners. Simple as that. My OBS is literally 5 inches taller than a stock one. It handles the road very nicely. I have no fear of it rolling, I'm positive it will spin out first.

I used some industrial strength duct tape once to make a temporary boot. It lasted about 4 hundred miles.

Totally OT question, but I have no idea where else to ask it. Will the hubcaps from a 2002 jetta fit a 2002 Eurovan? The Eurovan has 16 inch steel wheels. Wheel covers from Schucks don't fit.

You can go either way. Either will make your car taller. The struts will allow taller tires. If you just want 2 inches taller, buy the lift kit. The strut/spring lift is cheaper.

Shoot me a call Austin.

That would be a good start. Just pull the studs. They'll make good all around tires, something to hold you over till you lift your hatch and put some proper tires under it.

No, these are cars I've had. I only have the 2 imprezas running right now. The green one would be the trails car. This was the prettiest brat I ever had. Had almost 5k into it when I sold it.

When do I get to see you next Mike? Stranger, I hope things are well.

These are fun. I have hundreds and hundreds to use.

I'm in the Northgate area. I drive by your place almost everyday, just above the kiddie pool, right? At first I only saw one of your brats at a time, so I thought they belonged to one of the construction workers next door to you. Then I started seeing both brats. I haven't spotted your hatch yet. I'm pretty sure that the new legacy and 83 wagon I added make 30 and 31 for me. 83 wagon is the only one that didn't/doesn't run out of all of them.

The white brat is where Bob came from Rob. . .

I dig Scott's idea. So I think I'll start one of my own. Here's a few pics of a few of the ones I've had. I'll make more of these collages and add them.

huff huff puff puff.

Yes, it is affected. But. There is a camber adjustment. The upper of the two bolts on the bottom of the struts. Just dial them all of the way out, mine turned out fine. I haven't noticed any unusual wear on the outside of my tires since. I did it over a year ago. This is only on the front.

The only ticket I've had in about 15 years is for no mudflaps. Got it in Tumwater from a cop driving a Suburban with no mudflaps. Guy was a total wongleflute. Even though my car was clean, he came up screaming at me asking why I had no mudflaps. Screamed on about how tires like my (28 inch) swampers throw big rocks and big rocks kill motorcycle riders. So when I sent the 70 bucks to the Tumwater court, I put "To pay the toll to the little troll for passing thru the mighty city of Tumwater" on the money order. And on the envelope I wrote "Fight Corruption!". So since, I always make sure I have mudflaps. Crap, come to think of it, I got pulled over when I was 19 driving my 69 mustang. I had big rump roast tires on it and air shocks. Cap gave me a ticket for no mudflaps. The tires stuck out more than 1 and 1 half inches and the center of the tire was below the bottom of the car.

Look at my avatar. It is the same as the plaques. Metal backed, about 1 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 or so.
