ezapar replied to GLCraig's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Hey nice to almost meet you. That was me in the WCSS8 shirt that congradulated you. Pretty car. Rally X there is rough on the rides. I went off the road on the way out and messed up my rear wheel a little. . . -
If it doesn't have to do with Subarus, it has no business here in the Off Road Forum. Please post your off topic threads in the Off Topic Forum and wait for them to be approved. Posting them here is not going to get them approved and moved to the Off Topic Forum, it will get them deleted. Thanks for your cooperation. Eric Zap

I'd recommend the Hood River Brewery. Downtown. Follow the smell of hops. -
Help with classes for WCSS8?
ezapar replied to ezapar's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Here's what I came up with. I sent the list via email, it's out of my hands. 1) vintage/classic (maybe make these 2) gen 1 (70s) two one class) 3) gen 2 (ea81) 4) gen 3 (ea82) 5) xt/svx 6) legacy gen 1,2 (outback's included) 7) legacy gen 3,4 (outback's included) 8) impreza 93-01 (including OBS) 9) impreza 02+ (including STI, it's an impreza too) 10) baha, forester. tribeca 11) best in show off road 12) best in show street 13) best engine swap. -
Hatches, Brats, and Wagons are all different in the rear when it comes to shock mounts. Even if they use the same shock. No cutting is required. The BFH is your best tool. Just beat them back until the bottom of the "U" fits. That is the better option. I'll stand by my belief that the stock shock's travel is best suited for these little cars. Longer travel shocks are when you start busting stuff more. ie: axles and stubs (or you're not wheeling it that hard)

What are the different models likely to show up? I'm gonna compile this list tonight, then send it to Rallitek to have the trophies made. We have a really cool idea how to make them this year. Something folks will want to keep. Go!

It's looking like meals served Saturday a.m. and dinner, and Sunday a.m. too. Lunch Saturday will be at their consessions booth. ie: hot dogs and hamburgers. I believe dinner price is 7 bucks, breakfast is $5. Subaru West will also be there serving chili again!! -
Yessir!! Primitive Racing is going to throw a Rally X school on Sunday the 27th. Prices will go like this. $15 for one run, 5 bucks for each additional run. 10 bucks per run with an instructor. Or, there's a package deal. 35 bucks gets you 3 runs with an instructor. The instructor will give some pointers before and after each run as well. We'll be adding this info to our website soon as well. http://www.westcoastsubarushow.com/

**EDIT** Plan on getting to North Gate Mall between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on Friday. We'll use the parking lot in front of Toys R Us, located at the Southern end of the Mall. (There's an onramp to the Express lanes rught there!) We'll leave Northgate at 10:00 a.m. sharp! From there we'll go South on I-5 to the Interurban Exit and pick up a few others. We'll meet at the parking lot that the Shell/Texaco and Jack in the Box share just off of the exit. We'll leave there at 10:45, no later than 11:00 a.m. Those who want to can break off from the group in Washugal to eat free bar b q at Audio Integrations. They will have a caravan you can join to take the rest of the trip. List: Me Wife Mom Father Tex +1 Yukon Art +6 LaureltheQueen +1 86ruguy Syphon Sparkster054 Superrallyroo Noah Galen Adam West Austin Subafly

No, not really. Ken and I are more busy and less enthused than in years past. Scoobyclimb's outing into the hills should be a pretty big highlight. A big caravan of Soobies off in the hills together. Should be some kind of first as far as #'s for an Off Road Gathering type thing. -

We lifted a brat and had it back on its wheels in 4 hours once. (pre-made kit) -
I can see how your exaust got messed up. You can see the drag marks in the mud. (Hardly looks 1.5 feet deep though ) You need to take more of these photos And less of these.

Rallitek.com Fuel management system. Cool stuff, piggy backs onto the computer. I have one installed on my OBS. It has much more zip now, get's 29 mpg on the highway now instead of 25 before.

Just tires on wheels. . . 28/8.50/14 tsl

I followed your link to the swampers on the chevy luv board. I met the guy this morning and picked them up. Bran spankin new, two still have all the nubs on the outer edges. Bran new wheels. I don't have anything to put them on, but couldn't pass them up. Took a lot of pming and phone calls, but he finally go them from the East part of the state and up to my neck of the woods. Might just mount them on imp wheels for shnits and giggles. lol

Those make it much taller. I like them, they'll make good street tires and still get the point accross. White lettering kicks rump roast.

Crap, I thought you had left for home after that big log stopped you. By the time we got turned around and back down there, you were gone. Good for you for braving 311 by yourself. Going down that spot that's missing in the photos musta been a little hairy. I woulda liked to get photos of ya doing it. . . Here's a pic.
-
Rob, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't make it up there till after 4. Save some of your hatch for us. lol I want to camp at the far right tip of 320. If people have already grabbed that spot, then the old standby at the end of 510? Or is it 7930? You'll know, it's that knife edge rige with the shale drop off over looking Tacoma in the very far distance. Do you know the fire danger? Call me. Austin, call me if I can help. You need to borrow my mudders? EZ

Around New Jersey? I couldn't tell you. Around here, they're everywhere. Lots of legacy wheels are available from mid 90s cars. I almost settled for a set of 5 spoke mags form a 96 imp to put these on. But as I was waiting for the guys at the j/y to pull the car I wanted out, I noticed these on a legacy that belongs to one of the emplyees. I asked if he'd trade, cuz the impreza wheels had bran new tires and his were bald. I have about 0 use for 185/70/14 street tires. He said yes, we all made out. Keep in mind the ones I got are aftermarket ones. "Sendel" is the brand. To answer your question about the wheel/tire combo I have in the Marketplace, I honestly can't remember how I came accross those wheels. I've had them 4 years or more. . . What do I need tube bumpers for? I'm not planning on crashing into stuff. lol Maybe an A bar type thing to protect the Y-pipe, but no bumper. If I get the cajones, I'll cut it like Austin did. I still wanna see that in person first.
