  1. Weather shmeather. I've got a big garage to hide in and a pop up to cover the barbie with. PM me for my addy if you wanna mke it.
  2. Remember, we'll have the gazeebo for alcohol consumption, more of you will keep me company in there this time. The big cooler and dry ice should be there again too.
  3. How about around 2 or so? Hopefully this rain will flick off. I have the garage to hunker down in if it does rain. Of course. COme meet a couple of us, you'll have some familiar faces for the WCSS.
  4. No of course not, I just hate making people drive long distances for just a few hours' event. A couple of my buddies are gonna come over. I'll fire it up either way.
  5. Easy there. . . You'll notice I posted about the clearance on my Soob. I didn't bring up the truck till comparisons started getting made. Just for reference, hardly a pick of my Toy. You'll notice that in the next sentence I talked about another Soob I owned. But I would like you to show me the other threads that make you say "whenever".
  6. I thought about the SRP one, but it's too far away and will just be the same nasioc crew. Nobody I really know, all driving shiny new wrx's. I wanna get some kind of Evans Creek meet planned. Just a feeler. . .
  7. I'm thinking about barbie Q ing on Saturday the 20th. Any of you free that day? Little get-together shoot the shnit about Soobies and stuff. . .
  8. Ya know, I can't say I remember anyone actually taking one of these to a dyno after correctly installing a weber and coil pack. I can say from experience that the cars I've put them on got huge gains in power, and still got better than or about 25 mpg. I removed all of my emmissions stuff. McBrat has a diagram in the repair manual that shows the way to hook it up. And Hatchy, all of the above learned what they know about Soobs by showing up here and asking questions. Don't feel bad, there's always one or two sour apples in the bunch. Often I'm one of them. Keep your eye out for our next local (to the greater Seattle area) get-together, you'll find we're a pretty close knit bunch of guys and gals. You'll like (most) of us just fine.
  9. Never can tell. . . The pumpkins on my Toyota are at 10 1/2 inches, there's 17 under the transfercase mount. That's with 33s and only a 3 inch lift. But. I took the last hatch I had and put it next to a Rubicon at the dealership. With a 4/3 and 27s, the hatch had more clearance all the way around. There was only 9 inches under the transfer case on the Rubicon. yeah. . . My hatch had almost 16 to the exaust in the center.
  10. Me too. You've watched me progress over the years, each time a little bit toward the newer and newer side. I've pretty much always had three of something. It's always sell something to buy something. This newest OBS is the 29th? Soob in 6-7 years or so. You know me. I wish I had $ to throw around on a new STI and the goodies to offroad it. Ross's rig was one of the coolest Soobie offroaders I've ever seen. If you can model after that, you're on the right track.
  11. Hey Jibs. If you'll pm me your snail mail addy I'll drop a couple in an envelope and send them off to you. I have a whole bunch. It wouldn't be a problem.
  12. wait wait! now it's done.
  13. This was my reply to your first PM.
  14. I'll show ya what sort of things crybabies say. Can ya guess who said that? Crybabies send multiple PMs crying about being told to try the search button. Crybabies complain if their post which belongs in a different forum gets moved there. Even if it's for a good cause. Crybabies say things like "If I want to be treated like I'm in High School, I'll go back to High School." I'm not crying, I just don't want anymore scalding PMs from you. So I let you know I'm not gonna remove your post. You probably did it on purpose so you could make sure everybody knows you need something.
  15. I noticed you posted this twice, but I won't dare delete one of them, I don't want any more angry pms from you. I already got the same pm twice from you today. . . From both of your usernames.
  16. I forgive you Tex. Ken said that at first resisting legacy's. Ed too. Then it was Ken headstrong believing dumping $ into the XT6 would make it competitive. Till he went heads up against it with the stock impreza L that beat it. And lately the big 4X brat. . . (you guys are gonna hate me over that one) Good for you Tex. I know once the wagon is running, you'll be good and happy. (wink) My argument against RXs will always be the same one. If Subaru thought they were such great cars, they'd still rally them.

    I'm IN!!!

Good for you Chux. It's a good feeling to wheel with good people. The Hatch Patrol tends to be the oposite. A bunch of Soobs and one other rig.
  18. Here's your last rendition. put up or . . .
  19. Good to hear from ya PK. I spent two weeks living on the base at Camp P. I had long hair that was bleached white at the time. lol Some of the best drinkin' fun I ever had!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt
  20. Corky, quit picking things apart. It's just an error, probably caused by me switching which car I would drive after the OBS had aready been entered into the computer for TO. This is not the first time, no big deal. We know what really happened. And from what people say, the second half of the day was a much faster track cuz the 90 degree turns were opened up. Looks like I had a pretty screamin' time. Back to back 1:04s.
  21. I wish I could take my TO score. . . Just about fastest for the day. Pretty cool to see 1-4 separated by 4 seconds or less. I let my buddy Steve drive my OBS in the a.m. I told him to take it easy and not beat up my car. Even still, he managed to not get the bottom score.
  22. My son has turned 24. Damn I feel old! LOL Happy B-day Tex.

    lift kits

Depends on the lift kit. The U.S. version of the BYB kit uses 1 inch shorter blocks at the crossmember. This makes the angle of the driveline and exaust dramatically different. Tucks it up much better than without the differnt size blocks. But you're right, the most important thing in my book is the Y-pipe. There's just no getting it up higher without bigger tires, or a lift big enough to fit a transfer case.
  24. I found it. . . It's after the paypal option, once you get to Noah's place. Ordered my 2. I'll call you with "special instructions" Noah.
  25. I've got some clearance. 11.5 at the rear diff, 9.5 at the y-pipes. You guys had better get some proper off road tires if you plan to "one-up" me. Those ATs aren't gonna get it done. If things go right, it will be 2 inches or so taller for WCSS8. Never mind "How?" :-p As far as bumpers go, you can count on mine probably never getting a gnarly off road bumper. I just don't see the point. My little imp will never be up to the trails that require them. . . In stead of gloss black, try rust o leum satin black. Very cool, not quite flat, not quite gloss.
