  1. Yeah sure, but why not wongleflute's on Holman Road instead? Cheaper/better food, and we can hang in the parking lot by our Soobs. We can maybe talk others from other boards into it. . .
  2. I've yet to see any pics outside of the HP's circle that can beat our group shots when it comes to offroaders. The cravase. And lastly, a couple of teasers from the trail me and B did when we got seperated from the group.
  3. Scott's line was pretty cool too, plenty of pucker factor. Uncoolperson in the house. And the Behemoth just swallows everything.
  4. (computer was down for a few days, couldn't load them up) First, thanks Scott for putting it together, nice to finally meet you in person. Looking forward to the next time, we'll take ya on some real trails. lol You can go to my gallery and look at bigger versions of most of these pics. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=142 Here's a shot of me and Turbone's rigs, not too much difference in size, that's a big rump roast hatch and a little toy. After all that talk about preparing for water crossings leading up to the trip, Rob was the only one to follow my toy thru this hole) This guy had it coming. Pretty stupid to try to mount the stump while Rob was fixing a broken axle. (what's that? 3 or 4 times we've seen sammis roll trying to show off now?) Leading up to the curve of doom. After looking at the pics, looks like I was the only one to take this line. Proper pucker factor. Nomica stomached it quite well. It was me doing all the whining. (+/- 40 degree tilt, on top of a serious drop off)
  5. Cool pics! I just wish 2 things: Wish you guys woulda followed me and B down the trail we took when we got seperated. We concur that it was the highlight of the day. Wish my computer wasn't on the fritz so I could post some of the photos I took of us doing that trail. :-\
  6. Subieman, have you ever had or built an off roader? Are you speaking from experience or from what you've read? I can change out/in a rear axle in a lifted ea81 in about 6 minutes or less, including pulling out the hammer and putting it away. He asked. What do you suggest?
  7. I don't have time. Can you be responsible for getting the orders taken, mugs made, bringing them to me or Ken or to the WCSS, can ya handle a dead line, can I count on you? Screened or etched, what'cha got, what'cha know? We could sure use the help.
  8. I think that the ea82 coilovers make the rear way too stiff. I found the ea81 Soobs to be most capable with the rear torsion bar dialed down to the bottom, as soft as possible. Makes for free (er) travel, meaning the tires are on the ground more. That would mean better traction, improving off road capability. Definitely get a welded diff. I swore they'd be no different/better while I drove around in my lsd'd rig. ALL the difference!!! You too will say that. You just have to learn to be softer on the pedal to preserve axles. What else? I've been thinking about replacing the radiators in the ea81s with one not so tall. It's gotta be out there, a radiator that will cool as well as the stock one, but not be as huge. If you could lift the radiator, you can improve approach angle, again, improving offroad capability.
  9. I replaced the seats in my 96 OBS with some from a 93 Legacy LSI. Leather and comfy as hell. Threw some seat covers over them to make them a little warmer in the winter.
  10. I'm preppin'! Getting that water under the carpet to dry up. Looking forward to it, ready to load up right now. lol
  11. Email or call him.
  12. Are you making this a GC only thing again or is it open to other imprezas or all Subarus or what?
  13. There's not much to tune on an 84. Loosen the disty, turn it one way or another till it runs better. You're in Seattle, I've got a timing light. 15 minutes. Not an excuse not to make it. There's plenty there you'll love doing in your stock rig.
  14. So far I've/we've got: scott noah me uncoolperson spankypete hatchy Turbone? seattlelegacy? carfreak? gunslinger Anybody else?
  15. Ed's got my #. What time Thursday? I can throw a rock and hit I-5 from my house.
  16. Are you heading to the penninsula via Tacoma and the Narrows Bridge, or will you take a ferry from Seattle or Edmonds? If you'll be in Seattle, maybe we can all meet up somewhere. (my house) If you're headed out via the Narrows Bridge, you'll miss almost all of us till you get back to the mainland near B-ham.
  17. I believe its one of the biggest in the State. I wish I had mass money to go down there with. They have all sorts of stuff for my Toyota. Although, the one at Monroe was mostly jeep stuff. I scored (5) 32 inch swampers on wheels for $450. Oh, and an ARB bumper and Smitty Built roll bar for $550.
  18. That last thread is at least a year old now isn't it? Time to post/repost those photos of your Lifted Subarus. But, here's the twist. No pavement allowed. And I don't mean parked next to the street. Feel free to post 2 photos of your car, cuz I know that it can be hard to decide your favorite. Action shots encouraged! Short breakdown of the car would be cool too. If you don't have a car to post a pic of, then please don't post. It gets hard to sort thru 12 pages of comments to find cars, so I'll delete conversation. Thanks for your cooperation. Here's my 96 Impreza OBS, 5mt. 96 Legacy Outback struts and springs added for lift. 27/8.50/14 Kumho Venture M/Ts. 20mm rear sway bar for when I'm pretending to be Colin MCrae on those forest roads. *perfect power* (extra poop to make it scoot better)
  19. I did notice you standing out as usual. Only wagon. . . Only guy to back in. . . Can't see the wheels very well.
  20. Wouldn't hurt to check their web-site or pm/email ShadyIrishman.

    air locker?

Has anyone thought of using the search function?
  22. I got a question. What is the purpose of the big upside down "U" in the middle? Think about ways to protect your radiator. Maybe factor in ways to add a skid plate. And remember, weight is cumbersome. You dont' have a very strong frame, so you don't need a really burly bumper. Higher up the bottom of the bumper sits, the better approach angle you'll get. Approach angle is everything in many situations. One of those rails oughta do it.
