  1. What about adjusting for a taller driver? I bet I have an equal view as your trimmed hood. lol
  2. It's SOOOO expensive to tuck the tummy on my TJ. So for the time being, I'm stuck with the pooch. (photo saved from the add when I bought it)
  3. Nice!! I'm so jealous of the space you have under your belly.
  4. I can only say good things about how this show went. Mother Nature and Father Time were against me all day. Starting with missing the morning boat by 30 seconds because of a bus that took forever to load 4 people. lol Then a late boat, then behind ferry traffic at 10 under most of the way. I stopped in at the cabin to show my buddy the trails and stuff. The road there was a treacherous one, constant falling limbs and trees all around us. We got hit by debris a couple of times, dodged all sorts of fallen limbs. We had to stop 2 times just to get to the cabin to push fallen trees out of the way. We bailed on the cabin, the REALLY GNARLY gusts were knocking stuff down all around us. Scary barely describes it. We had to stop two more times on the dirt road to the main road to clear fallen trees. The second so big we had to wait for a chain saw to show. After a windy drive to PT, we found the way into the Show was closed because of fallen trees. So we drove WAY around, and after two more closed roads, found a back way in. I was really happy to be greeted by so many familiar faces and friends, I got a lot of hugs. It was awesome to talk to a few of you like I got to. I mean that. I can only say the staff did pretty frikkin awesome with keeping it together through the wind storm and rains that surely came last night. There was no power, but nobody notices, everybody just seemed to be having a great time. Me included. The spotlight shined on me for a second at the awards show, which makes me uncomfortable, but that's not why I left. We were out of beer and didn't wanna be sponges. lol Well, that and the news was saying the ferries were down because of all the power outages and we might be in for a really long drive through crazy busy traffic. We did not come prepared to spend the night. We made it to the Kinston Ferry safely and didn't have to wait for one, they only let 2 cars on behind us, perfect time to leave. 30 more seconds of hanging around woulda cost us a long wait for the next one. Thanks for the call Craig, you made the drive home.
  5. Too bad I had to sell my Legacy, I'd let you drive it over to save the rental fee. See you there, I'll have the XV.
  6. Went out this weekend to the cabin. Didn't take a lot of pics, but had a blast. Blurry at best. Love my Jeep. I get amazed every time.
  7. There are as many sport grills as there are people who ordered them. They don't make them in yellow. You have to have one painted. It should be pretty frikkin rare.
  8. You know I still love it. All it does is rock my world. It got to tow a Subaru not too long ago too.
  9. Well, after a loooonnnnggg wait, I finally got my vinyl!!! My buddy printed out the green on the side. The tail lights were a bit more of a challenge for him to wrap. Thanks Tex!!!!
  10. Sorry, have had connectivity problems since the day after we went to the hills. Only Jesse showed up. Turned out to be a big poker run, some 60-70 rigs, mostly jeeps and few toyotas. Jesse fell in line with the guy I was with, made the entire poker run without a hitch. Two jeeps broke, he went right past the spot that got them. I only got to tug him once. No action pics, we were hauling too much rump roast to stop. Great times, you all missed it that didn't show up for whatever your reason. We got to pull this guy back on his wheels. Finally got to use my snatch block.
  11. Then it should be pretty easy for you. Film it.
  12. I'll be at the Burnett store at 9:00. File in with the guys I'll be with.
  13. I've talked to Brain. He's going through some things in his life right now. The truck is on hold.
  14. Like I said. Look at some videos and see what you're up against. Your rental had better be a Rubicon. Your overloaded ea82 wagon is gonna have problems.
  15. I'm not gonna say it's impossible. I was one of the original guys who went there and tackled it with Subarus. I'm gonna say that you had better show up good and prepared. You'd better bring a bucket of stub axles. You will need a welder. Find a buddy with a Toyota to carry all your spare stuff, cuz it will weigh down your Subaru too much. Go watch videos of the Rubicon and get to know just what the trails look like. They are gnarlier than you might think if you haven't been there.
  16. Got to play with it in the gravel yesterday. Traction control is fun to work with. Good times, that thing handles like crazy at speed.
  17. I'm in, but not a very long list eh?
  18. Got to park it next to another SE this past weekend.
  19. That looks sharp. It must be a bit scary with all that power and your new lean during corners. Have you thought about a way for a quick disconnect for the sway bars?
  20. Good call JesZeK I figured those out working at the junk yard, tried a few different ones. I gave my last one away. if you can't source one, it really is pretty easy to fab one.
