  1. Should be. Especially now that I have the Toy. That will give Ken extra incentive to get his big Brat offroadworthy again. Got a feeling he'll be out there with it. We tend to have some good fun while we're out there.
  2. I think that one wasn't actually lifted. He crammed some 30s under it, but no lift. He actually showed up to Walker Valley for one of our meets, but left soon after we began offroading. His big tires really limited his turning radius, and the single range 1600 had problems pushing those big suckers.
  3. I have a set of bran new-never touched the cement- set in the garage waiting for the occasional camping trip or snow. That and rally x next year. They kinda suck for daily driving. They're loud, the car handles like crap with 'em on, and I hate wearing on them. Too expensive. I find myself being extra careful on corners so I don't beat up the tread. . . The streets ride nice and quiet and smooth. And I can rip corners like I'm driving an impreza with the 225s. lol I've got a 20mm sway bar I'll throw on the back now that I don't plan on offroading it very harshly. No dual range means too much clutch smoking offroad. It wouldn't be much fun on the trails I like to play on. Now that I've got the toyota for offroad, the imp need never see any except at high speeds. Wheels are from an 05 Baha!! 225/60/16. They're as tall as the 27 inch Kumhos. Really. If I tell ya how much, don't be mad. 250 bucks. yeah. HAD TO BUY THEM!!! Corky, I plan on painting the hood, it has paint splatter on it. Little white blotches. I/m gonna paint it to match the sides and bumpers.
  4. Caleb's been in at least one situation where adding a 20mm to the rear makes the assend a little happy. As in good and sideways at about 60 mph in the imp. I caught it, but there was some pucker factor involved. I'm way more used to it after a couple of years behind the wheel.
  5. All sorts of hard to change yourself. There's a used tire shop in Lake City that will mount them for 10 bucks a tire. Where are you taking your pics? I wanna play. Do your 225s rub?
  6. I know the way around all of your ea82 rear lift problems. Get a Brat or a hatch. lol
  7. Be pissed, do what you have to do to reclaim your $. But do NOT publish his private info. He has children, several of them, and they did nothing to you.
  8. Ice maybe, but it depends on the tire for snow. I know those Super Swamper SSR and the Coopers are pretty friggin awesome in snow. Siping is all you can really do for ice. I believe they made studs illegal in WA this year. But the deal is. . . there's not a lot of snow that falls in western WA. When there is, it's not usually cold enough to leave much ice, it's usually in the 30s when it snows. As in, Seattle gets about 2-3 days of snow a year. And only 2-6 inches when it does.
  9. Can I name the hatch "prodigal son"? lol Cool to have you around. Stop by on the way thru, beer on me. I'll etcha see the new one. I'll definitely be up for wheeling by then.
  10. Try here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24980
  11. My belief is that super high rear diffs are for the birds. There's no reason to have 14 inches. Your Y-pipe has to clear first. Basically, your rear diff be no higher than the height of your Y-pipe. We've all heard the hyper extended axle argument. I swear my rigs always did best with the torsion bar and front struts dialed down to minimum. It frees up travel, keeps the wheels on the ground better. (my opinion.)
  12. TOTALLY worth the hour and 3 minutes it took my 56k to download it. VERY cool man! Your hatch sounds sweet man, very jealous. Reminds me to get off my rump roast and get to collaborating with Jibs in earnest.
  13. Sounds like a good oportunity to get some free food. . . and I always love to see Tex and Monica. But, I'm going out of town for the weekend with my family. (god I love to say that)
  14. I'll be heading out to my Father's cabin for the weekend of Sept. 3-5. Just outside of Chimacum, 20 minutes South of Pt Townsend, 23 miles from the Kingston Ferry. We have 7 private acres, lots of cool places for tents. There's a cool little 4X trail right on the property with lots more just a few miles away. There are 2 lakes within 10-15 minutes drive, one for fishin', one for swimmin'. There's all the luxuries within 10 minutes, ie: gas mart, NAPA, QFC, hardware store. With the generator hooked up, we have tv, microwave, coffee maker , lights. Did I mention we have a nice/clean porta poddy?, no crappin in the woods!! Hopefully it rains some between now and then, that allow us to have a big fire Saturday night. Lemme know if you're interested, I'll getcha directions. I'd rather you were 21 if you're driving, but kids are always welcome regardless of age.
  15. I always hate these type of "whaaa poor me" threads. You'll find one over at the Old School NASIOC forum about the USMB. Just because one person didnt' have your answer, you hate all of NASIOC. I'm on NASIOC from time to time, I own 2 imprezas. I assure you I'm no punk kid with a ricer car. He never did say "waste of time". . . Looks like he gave you an honest opinion, probably wasn't far off the mark. Good thing for Cobb in your case. But I think your comment was smart assed, pretty uncalled for.
  16. Drivers make the cars competitive.
  17. Indeed. See post # 28 of this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32579
  18. Keep your little comments to yourself Jon. Unless you want to have to find another machine to log in with. You are totally bannable.
  19. Thanks Flappy's!! Mine showed up yesterday. Very special/limited edition stuff. Now I just need the Summer heat to die down a little so I can wear them. lol the back of the longsleeve The back of the hoody
  20. A battery and a tune up. (plugs, wires, cap and rotor, to get it going.) Yeah, 27/8.50/14. The new Kumhos have a 6 ply sidewall. The ones I just bought are a little different from the ones we have on the XT6. Thanks Shawn, Amy's ready, can you tell? lol
