  1. Thanks Mick. It'll need new handles for one of the rear seats. That and the male part of the driver's side seat belt. I'm pretty psyched about how clean it is underneath. Should be easy to apply a lift to it.
  2. Looks like a 4/3 is in store for it. Weber, new Kumhos, paint. probably ebay after that. Very little or no rust baby. Here it is out of the garage.
  3. Pretty cool. It hasn't been on the road since 1997. I drained and changed the gas and oil, changed all of the filters but the gas filter. (schmucks didn't have any, had no time to look elsewhere) It runs sweet. Few more things and it will be ready to drive around. ie: windshield, carpet, little crap. . .
  4. I need 2 or three more of those. Thanks Ed.
  5. Mark Please check your messages and gimme a call. The guy who bought my blue hatch needs a walk thru for an axle change. He's in Olympia. I'll help him, (and he's willing to drive to Seattle so I can) but I may not be around this weekend. He's using it as a commuter between Oly and PDX. Big time appreciated. EZ
  6. I'm still in San Fransisco. lol You didn't see me, maybe I was there in spirit.
  7. Just don't crank up the rear torsion bar and it will sit more level. I personally like the "rake". Check out some photos of some in the "offroad". http://hatchpatrol.com/
  8. The Brat I just bought is my 28th (running) Soob in the last 5 or so years. I can part with them no problem. Out of all of them I only miss the leg wagon we sold to Ken, Bob, and the blue hatch I sold to get the grocery getter. Grass'll be greener, you'll see Brian. p.s. Secretmobile's kick rump roast.
  9. Can we have pics of yours at least?
  10. Have been to Walker, couple of times. Pretty hardcore stuff. I'd recommend not letting anyone follow you in unless they have a welded rear diff, or at least an LSD. Tires and a lift would be a plus. It's a lot funner to wheel Soobs when you're not spending the whole time pushing the "unprepared." Trust me when I say that the worst stuff you guys found in the woods at WCSS7 will seem like pavement compared to WV.
  11. That's right. And. . . yeah, how come?
  12. I've done well. I haven't seen any photos with me in them. I just might not exist. lol That little party in the back of the brat looks fun. I know each of you by face and name. Wish I coulda done more socializing on Saturday and less organization crap. Next year, I promise.
  13. If you'll take a minute to read the F.A.Q. at the top of the forum, you'll find the link you're looking for.
  14. I tried hard to get Moosey here, trust me. He turned me down for the second year in a row. . . --------------------------- Oh yeah, and thanks to Garner for the kick rump roast glasses. Full Sail tastes even better when I use mine.
  15. Here's my input. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=198832&posted=1#post198832
  16. How about good ol' Evans Creek? It's more central as far as Washington is concerned, and we can make a weekend out of it. Trails for everybody, from simple dirt roads to crazy stuff you'll wonder why you tried to tackle. lol Lots of good camping. The view of Mt Raineer from the top of 311 is stupendous.
  17. Oh yeah, Thanks big time to Northguy for the Seafood Feast he prepared and served on Friday. That was a tough secret to keep for a couple of months Matt.
  18. I've received many thanks from many people, my turn. As an organizer, I would like to thank the following: Our Sponsors, Subaru West, Aaron's Auto Wrecking, Smart Service, Rallitek, Flappy's Print Shop, RIchie and his Superior Repair Our many vendors, you know who you are. You're all welcome back next year except for Glove Buddy. You know why. Our Vollunteers, Corky for the registration stuff, Joel and Kelly from Rallitek for their organization of the cars and judging, Tex for the Website, logos and stickers, McBrat for stickers, Sean at Rallitek for grabbing the mike when Ken and I were too tired to do so, Edrach for holding the Swap Meet together, who'd I miss? I'd also like to thank everyone who showed up with or without a Subaru. Especially those of you who traveled long distances and crossed boarders to make it. The crowd is what makes an event, we had a great one. The diversity of Subarus was amazing. I really liked the way folks mixed and mingled while camping. Old and new schools together. Cool stuff. I'd like to thank the better part of you for acting like civilized people and controlling your actions, ie: speeding thru the campground in your cars, noise after midnight. I'd like to thank the couple of you who I had to ask to slow down a little for cooperating, I hate being a "cop". I'd also like to complain a little too. The people who were setting off the fireworks are on our *************** list. We'd like to know who you were who thought it would be fun to set off firecrackers at about 1:00 a.m. while the rest of us were trying to sleep. I know who the first batch came from, hopefully someone will drop us a PM or email to let us know who the others were. I'd like to say I wish that folks could control their speed thru the campground better. I know that at least one of you got yelled at pretty good, and I'm sorry I singled you out. But I know you've had your car for years and you of all folks there should know it's a no no. Only one or two who couln't handle your alcohol and acted the fool. You know who you are, I'm sure I told you. We're bummed that banners were stolen from us, makes us less enthused about putting on the next one. In the end, it was a very successful WCSS and we're left with a good sum in the Kitty that will go towards making next year's Show bigger and better than ever. Thanks for your participation!!!! Eric Zap
  19. No real damage except the strut. I guess the spring was compressed to nothing. They found donor parts and put it back together. Looked pretty straight when I saw it later.
  20. That was the best "delivered" dinner I ever had. Great to meet you Matt. Thanks. Glad to know the XT made it.
