maybe i was a little off in my wording? What I mean is if there is a difference in total height of the tires then one set of tires is going to spin at a different speed then the other set. That is rough on your drivetrain.

using the ole' tire size calculator, the 175's are 22.6in overall diameter and the 185's are 23.2in. no matter what the diffs will be turning at different speeds which is never good. I wouldn't do it, but alot of people would! Just buy a couple tires should be cheap. just my $.02.

Well, i bought the justy today!!! I couldn't find any rust and it ran great on the 5 hour drive back. thanks for all the advice!!! Now, what is availble for this car? any good mods?

Hey guys, what is the back spacing and bolt pattern for an 1988 justy gl? Discount tire Direct say it is 4-100 bolt pattern, but what is the backspacing? I am looking at a 15x7 wheel they say will fit (37 backspace)the justy. Anyone know what the backspacing should be for a 15x7 on a justy?? any thoughts would be appreciated!!

well I am going to go look at a 1988 justy GL AWD. It is going to cost me`$1100, is that reasonable for this car? The body and interior look pretty good. Anything to look for mechanicaly on the justy? I hope to own my first subaru by tommorrow!!!! Any suggestions on what to look out for on these cars would be great!!

mometel77, i just moved from lacey to Kansas. It would definately be a long drive now. I think i might have a lead on one, but it is carbed... we will see how good a shape it is in person. $2000 seems high for an '88??

well thats the problem. I found one that the body and interior is in really nice shape. It just has a rod slapping around in the crankcase. Are they hard enough to find, to be worth 1200 bucks with a crapped out engine?? I just don't know enough about subaru's, not yet at least!!

You know,I just like the Justy...don't really know why? I have never owned a Subaru but have always wanted one. I also figured it would be cheaper to get one and the mileage woould be pretty good. I only have V8 mustangs to drive now. I did find one close by, but they wanted 1200 for it and I am pretty darn sure there is a rod about to fly out. It might of been the clutch but it still seemed alot of money. maybe i should get it and get another motor... mometal77, i just moved from Lacey about a week and a half ago!
