  1. ok, the wal mart paint will oxidize, so the money spent on krylon will be worth it. i like to use the satin black for headlight bezels, the b pillars, and for the roof. i will use the wal mart primer, about 4-6 cans is good for the whole car. one can of paint is good for a pair of fenders, 2 doors, a hood, or a tailgate if you use cheaper paint, use a clearcoat i suggest krylon for white, and orange chose a color for the base color, and suppose have white on the bottom 1/3 and orange stripe, that follows along the body. or your choice of colors, but the same pattern i think the pattern would be more distinct than the colors. but orange and white are definate recognition factors
  2. ok, throw some paint on there (are you handy with krylon?) and you could pretty much claim TRASHWAGON but you would have to represent it as TRASHWAGON. take some styling cues from my website
  3. pit some carpet in and paint it..... would anyone be serious about a trashwagon build? for real
  4. i woul;d think a NA mpfi from an 85-86 would be a good choice, you can adapt it to work with the ea81t's ecu, and therefore spare a complete ea81 motor for trade value
  5. the licensing for the name, and the number designation will be granted to the car that keeps true to the trashwagon theme
  6. So i have this idea, for anyone wishing for a project, if someone could build up a WAGON to the trashwagon theme. no, trashwagon does not mean the wagon is trash. it means that you take something and make it how you want it. so if anyone were to "commission" another trashwagon, they would get the name TRASHWAGON 7, so the next one i would build would be 8 so to have the trashwagon number designation, the car will hace to have at least Stage 1: interior mods such as gauges, lighting, stereo, or carpet Stage 2: interior mods, and exterior mods such as Lights, Antennae, bumpers, and fender cuts/sheetmetal Stage 3: interior, exterior, and engine/suspension mods such as tranny conversions, carb, engine swap, performance upgrades, and lifts, springs, or shocks are examples somewhere on the car it will have to be labelled TRASHWAGON (#) if you like to go as far as paint, you must have the paint stripe pattern(stage 2) this is just an idea, the builder would have full discretion of how and what to do to the car, as long as the car fits the trashwagon idea nad scheme, so it could be recognized as a trashwagon
  7. i forgot to mention that it was an EJ 4spd 23d, which i have, and the harness for, in reference to installing sich a trans and having to swap in the wiring and TCU for it
  8. ol' Skip-'nus, i could go take a look, but all my motors are OPEN BELTS
  9. if you want a 5spd, you will have to modify your motors bellhousing to fit the ea82 flywheel, search for "5 spd conversion" you could drop in an ea82 motor just as easily, if you didnt have a new motor already
  10. something like that looks as if it could acommodate an ea82 axle in an ea1 car i know that TOMRHERE wants to figure out something for more suspension travel, maybe you can ponder with him over the idea

  13. you may be able to connect the block's hose to the water pipe off the top of the water pump/block, using the ea82 manifold
  14. the DUTWEILLER HELMET is pimp! keeps my hair fropm getting FYOSTEY while under the soob looking at the pics of the jackstand collapse, looks like i would have survived anyway if i wouldnt have been too quick to jump out from underneath. the cinder block saved the tranny. not the first time a car has fallen off, but this would be my narrowest escape, althought it didnt fall down far enought to crush me
  15. sunday indeed, nothing like the cops in WV, and zanny dook being arrested in ohio on the way home!
  16. i could have sworn i saw NA mpfi on an 84 sedan, digi dash and auto 4wd
  17. zanny dook got arrested on the waty home last night. no worry, 50 bucks later and we were on our way as if nothing happened. boy those cops didnt know what think, or what to do for that matter. turns out my bench warrant in that town has disappeared, because the last time thay me and zanny dook rolled thrui that town together, I got arrested. so future trips, we will have to bring bond money, just in case, as these things seem inevetable (at least we didnt leave him behind, but only 75 miles from home)
  18. As you may already know there is a ROAD trip planned for march 19-thru the following week. the journey will take i90 west and us2 on the way back. from indiana to idaho. there will be a camera on board to film the action. if anyone would like us to stop by SPEAK UP NOW, so we can fit it into the itenerary. email me with addys and phone no's milesfox@yahoo.com
  19. hey noah, i have thought about going, sinsce its so long of a drive, maybe we can meet up along the way? you could come to indiana fri nite and stay over, then hit the road in the morning cant be too much farther than WV
  20. yeah, if you mount an ea82 carb, you will need the LOWER air filter housing. the housing all hooks up the same, in all the same places, its just the hole for the carb is bigger. the lids and the filter themselves are the same between the 2
  21. try an ea82 hitachi carb on your existing manifold. the only difference is the air cover for the carb itself, the black ones go to ea82 carbs, bigger hole. but ea82 carb will bolt up to ea81 hitachi intakes
  22. that is what i did when i mocked up the spfi intake to the ea81 block. the vac advance would point forward towards the front of the motor i also had ea81 in my 86 sedan, with ea82 intake.
