yeah, i was referring to the dual range. the exception is the dual range RX trans, 3.7 full-time, but that would be referred to as the RX trans. then there are 5spd pushbutton, single range, both turbo and non turbo so 5spd dual range refers to all the 3.9 that did not come with a turbo

look for any 5spd dual range. the 5spd never came with the turbo, and autos dont have low range the 5spd has the lowest gear reduction, and 3.9 final drive the 85-86 i think have the lowest reduction gear...

on 85 and 86, the knock sensor is part of the mechanical distributopr system, and both it and the distributor tie into the Knock Control Unit i think one from an ea81t would work, too

i' not *TOO* far away. maybe us butler soobs can get in on the action. the meet that was supposed to happen last year ended up happening in butler on labor day. we have a place to off road if we can get it lined up.

josh (1ABAJA) id giving them a call to pitch a deal, and for details. but the guy there told me he had no turbos until i told him the black one was turbo i speculate the turbo has a bad head gasket at worst, a broken timing belt, or a bad trans. i would suspect the 4x4 wagon has just a broken belt, or a bad clutch.

i am speculating lsd, maybe it doe4snt, but it definately had an automatic. it also has the 87 style steering wheel. the outside is a little rough, but normal for what's expected around here. the interior is in pretty good shape for how the car looks lets say, ported heads, 5spd dual range, or 5spd full time xt6 trans, 5-lug suspension(i have all the parts minus struts) it could pobably be built to spank a stock RX without too much effort

i will make an offer for both the RS and the dual range wagon and see if they will accept. if the price is right, i'm sure they would sell both to make thir money quick and all at once. i figured an offer of 300, but i will start with 200, to entertain the notion

the cv axle can be serviced with a 36mm nut, a 3/16 in drift punch, and a good sized hammer. if you search, you will find a lot on the procedure, many different tricks to the trade. if the axle doesnt pop too bad, the boots can be replaced, also

my xt6 parts came minus the struts. i am contemplating making an adapter, if i cant find ea struts. are the xt6 struts the same diameter as the ea struts?

i saw it there, black 3-door with wing, no body ground effect. turbo and automatic(i assume its 4wd) does it have a rear lsd? it has a gold soob logo on the rear trunk lid, grey interior. its all there minus the wheels. the motor is all there, but it looks like squirrels have been living under the hood.

somewhere i got a pic of a crapalier jumping rr tracks. but it doesnt come out well. its not a soob, but its still a trashwagon!

could be a bad headlight. i got a ticket for driving with the brights working only on 1 light(no lo beam) i had the dash apart before looking for a relay when i first got the car. i replaced the bulbs and it was all good(i re-uused the ones from trashwagon 4, which came from a buick)
