  1. Oh Ok... I looked in the subaru factory manual and cant find the pitching stopper in the index.. I will look again... So dO I need to order a new one along with trans and motor mounts... Do you think its exspensive???
  2. Any horn will work from a car or even a motorcycle horn... Should be a one wire setup, Positive to the horn and the horn itself acts as ground where it mounts to a solid steel part of the car...
  3. Whats a pitching stopper???????? and how do you adjust it.... Thanks Joe
  4. So Edrach you can actually put a 5 speed trans dual range from a 1988 EA82 serries wagon into our older EA81 serries cars with no mods and it will bolt up??????

  7. Thanks for the reply... Well this is for my 84 wagon...... I dont think I will lift it at all... Maybe raise it the stock way is all... If I do lift it it willbe a small lift anyway.... I didnt know that I would need some other kit thing to do a swap from a 4 speed to a 5 speed... I just assumed it bolted up the same is all...... I emailed you phatbrat about a price, did you get it???? Also what kinda mileage is on your trans... See I dont have a garage to do work in and Im a virgin at mechanics.. I never did the trans thing I might have to pay someone to do it... Dave from cressona offered to help me attempt it..... But time is a factor right now... wish this would have happend a month ago... Thanks Joe

  12. I have a 84 wagon with the typical ripped up driver seat.. It is also lop sidded and springs stick ya... I was at a junk yard today and only fond a decent Passenger side seat but it is in a hatch............. Is there any way to swap out the seat backs and bottoms.. Andy what is different as far as the mechanical thinger goes.. Could I take the mechanical part from the bottom of my WAGON driver seat and put it on the HATCH passenger seat that is good?? 14. Thanks.... Im afraid I wont make the meet...... I gotta work to pay for her now.... I hope I can get her fixed up right... So nice to be reunited with my first love... Well a Suabru of course... I had a 83 wagon just like her.. Even my first wagon had No rust and even AC... Made the mistake of selling her to a friend down on his luck and then he spray painted it black and then sold it to some rump roast wipe... I saw it once about two years ago and tried to talk to the owner and he had no interest in taling about Subaru's... He said"SO who cares if it was yours".... Joe
  15. Hey, I just picked up a 1984 subaru 4x4 wagon 4 speed " No air" and rust free... But and there is always a Butttt... It has some issues that maybe you guys could tell me what I need to do or check... 1st question. The Trans shifts smooth when the car is not in motion, BUT when the car is in motion I have to force it some what into first gear and I hear a grinding noise...What do you think it is and how to fix??? 2nd question. When I ever so slightly press on the gas pedal and then release it quickly I hear a clonking noise from the front. Do you guys think its a motor mount or somethin?? Thanks Everyone in advance for your replys... Joe
  16. May I ask what did it cost you to ship the car from NJ to you.. and what carrier did you use.. Thanks Joe
