Has anybody ever thought about attempting to shorten the emergency brake handle on a EA82 Wagon ??? I'm looking to free up space . Any ideas ???

Any chance the old 4 lug vw bug rims will fit our ea82 stuff ?

Hmmmm, I LIKE THE CREW CAB BRAT PIC, It might look cooler with the larger brat doors in the front.... But I gotta say I DO LIKE THE EXTENDED CAB BRAT, THAT IS SWEEET... HE SHOULD MAKE THEM AND SELL THEM ... I no longer have my brat had to let her go due to a split with the X, But If I would of had that EXTENDED CAB BRAT, I would have done my best to find away to keep her .. OR MAYBE EVEN THE X-GF, THE CRAP from her would have been worth it just to keep the Extended Cab Brat LOL ...

I have always had the idea of cutting off the back end of a EA81 Wagon just behind the rear door and then marrying the bed of a brat to it to make a CREW CAB BRAT ... Or take the front of brat and cut it just behind the brats door, and then marry the rear door area off a wagon onto the brats front and then add the bed of the brat back on .. It would be cool as ************ to have the only CREW CAB BRAT maybe with a EJ motor in it WOW.. Can anyone photoshop a cool pic of this ... Someone please make a CREW CAB BRAT ... Joe

Bucky thanks for offering to speak to the head of the Police Department where you live... I really mean it .. I would love to move but being my father just passed away Im now the only one in my family left to help out my elderly relatives, I just cant leave as too many people depend on me, and I just dont feel right about nursing homes as I would not want to be in one... I help me mother out and now that I lost my job she is worried and stressed out I had to call the ambulance today, Chest Pain and what not.. She is in the hospital .. She was not in the best of health to begin with being on oxygen, she has COPD... and can barely walk 10 feet without being short of breath... Paul I have been screwed twice by other cops, one when I was 16 years old... I was a passenger in a friends truck and we were hit broad side by a drunk driver, I was able to get out of the truck and had to ask one of the many cops that showed to take me to the hospital .. Well I recall that when the Police first arrived they immediately went to the car that hit us. The driver a woman was visably drunk, that even a 16 year old could tell. They (The Police) carted her and her male companion off in a car right awya from the scene. I stood there bleeding with glass in my arm.. We found at latter that SHE was not charged with DUI and that SHE was married and cheating on her husband with a off duty officer, he was the one in the car with her.. So no one was arrested, and I had to ask to be taken to a hospital, they didnt even call a ambulance for me, they transported me.. They covered it all up and the State Police and DA would noty look into it ... Second thing was while I was working as a Deputy assisting another Police Department with traffic control for a Race Track Event. My partner and I were stationed at a intersection, it was daytime.. My partner was in the intersection directing and I was off to the side of the road standing waving traffic on. We had bright yellow police traffic vest and a marked car with the emergency lights going. Some ********************* didnt like it that he had to drive slow in traffic, So as he approached the intersection my partner raised his hand to stop him so other traffic could proceed thru the intersection. The guy hit the gas and almost hit my partner and I, he yelled ************ YOU PIGS out the window as I yelled for him to stop. My partner would have been hit by this car if he didnt jump out of the way... I jumped in the car and chased him, got him pulled over and he jumped out of his car and charged back screaming. I had to thump his dumb rump roast on the hood of the patrol car and handcuff him. Since this was not my area, I called for the Township Police, They never arrested him for anything criminal because he was a relative of one of the cops in the township. I almost got killed and this ********************* walked away with a traffic fine and a non traffic fine... The guy takes a hearing and the judge tosses out the reckless driving charge, she found him guilty of Disorderly Conduct only, So we almost were killed and the guy got a lousy 300 dollar fine .. Heck I guess Im worth only half of that 300 bucks, that's all my life is worth ... I was pissed off .. I used good judgement that day, reason being my training says I could have used deadly force on this ********************* when he tried to run over my partner. I could have shot him while he was driving thru the intersection that day at a high speed. THE FIX WAS IN and it happens all the time ... I could write a book about all the crap I have seen ... Again I rarely tell anyone what I do, Im ashamed.. Not of the badge, but of some of the people that wear it.... Its crap like this that make people hate the police .... Paul if you need a copy of a report and cant get one from the officer that investigated it, well it may be possible that he never did one .. Can you go to the head of the department and ask for a copy ? Here most Police Departments charge for copies of reports. You may have to get a attorney involved and ask him to subpoena the records you need. You could try seeing the DA, some will help you, some wont .. Im sorry Bucky, Paul for your experience with the Police ... I can honestly say that when I worked the street I hated speed details, I would give people wayyyy above the required 6 or 10 mph, just depends on the area and traffic and time of day, school zone as to how I judged stuff... I felt how can I cite someone for speeding when I speed myself. So I use to write alot of warnings, and if I did cite it was always a cheaper non-point violation.. The only way the guy would get a point violation from me is if he smart mouthed me on the stop.. I know alot of cops that did this the same way, but some well they would arrest there own mother.

Many thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts... It does not surprise me that PA law enforcement told you to move out of state.. I have found any state that is a commonwealth is a joke ... If I did not have a elderly mother to take care of I would move out of state and start new... As far as your stalker, WOMAN In crisis should be notified and the district attorney's office.. Just for the record Woman in Crisis is not just for woman, its for anyone that has been a victim of doemstic violence... I dont understand if you had a written note why it was not submitted to the crime lab for prints to be lifted for use as evidence, even if the suspect has never had a criminal history that he was printed on a prior arrest the police should be able to get a search warrant for the suspects prints, or any object that he has touched that they can lift a print from they can match up the prints on the paper he left. Even if the interview him and he agrees to write a statement he will leave his prints on the police document...

Well here is the problem, Management the Sheriff was not quick to give new people on my shift passwords and log on codes to be able to do there work, so everyone had my password and another guys. The Sheriff claims everyone has a log on, but that is not true. I asked the Sheriff last month how to change my log on and he couldnt tell me how to, The reason is I had heard that the county was gonna head hunt people so I wanted to change my password. Of course the puke that he is denied we ever had a phone conversation to that effect.. So the head hunt was on by him is all.. I dont know how some people can wake up in the morning and feel good about themselves

Thanks, I only got into Law Enforcement in the early 90's back then I was trained from the guys that worked in the 70's.. OLD SCHOOL, TRUE BLUE.. Today there is a different type of animal the academy is putting out on the street, it is one that would cut the throat of his brother to get ahead.... Im ashamed of the career I went into, if I only new back then what I know now ... When the show COPS hit the TV back in 1992 it was all down hill from there ... All of a sudden everyone wanted to wear the shield, people that really were not cut out for the job... Again Im ashamed of where I worked... Everyone hates the Police, but the fact is the POLICE HATE THEIR OWN..

Well I hate to tell you what I did, I was a Deputy Sheriff and prior to that a cop ... Honestly after almost 20 years in this line of work I have nothing good to say about most law enforcement.. And again I say most, there are a few good eggs in the field. Some of them are no different than the people they arrest except they think they are entitled to do what ever whenever.. My job here in Pa was so,so in the money department, even after being there almost 10 years I was still not making what the average cop starts at... No where near, but I liked the job and the hours and figured I would just work some overtime to make some cash.. If all cops were rich they would not be like me buying used cars for 1000 to 2500 bucks to get buy with.. Its all politics and corruption .. If the public really knew what goes on behind the scenes in PA. Law Enforcement they would be shocked, from State Police to Local Cops to County Sheriff's... Im surprised anything really gets done at all work wise ... Its sad really.... I gave up police work to go to the Sheriff's Office because I was tired of arresting people for real crimes for them to only get a slap on the hand and be back out doing the same old thing. The system doesnt work and fails all of you.. No one cares until it directly effects them, That is why the Politicians in Federal Goverment Washington could care less about all of you the working class.. Why ? because they live SHELTERED RICH LIVES in Big Fancy homes in a fancy gated community. So it doesnt matter to them if your son gets hooked on drugs or that there is a drug house next to your home. BECAUSE THEY DONT LIVE THERE AND NEVER SEE THIS, THEY KNOW NOT OF THE FEAR SOME PEOPLE LIVE IN DAILY. THEY HAVE NO WORRY OF MONEY OR CRIME UNTIL IT DIRECTLY EFFECTS THEM. Look at Washington DC, it should be the safest place in our country, BUT YET CRIME is rampid in DC.

Well Guys, I was fired today with 8 others from my JOB because I looked at the USMB at work ... 10 years down the tubes ... Overnight we have alot of down time and nothing to do so we surf online... If they didnt want us to use the internet they should have blocked it.. Shortly I will have to sell my EA81 Wagon and stuff I guess.. Well here I go with this ? .. I have a 97 Ford Escort that apparently has a slow coolant leak. Appears to be the side of the radiator.. Well the low coolant light is on in the dash, and the overfill tank is empty.. I open the radiator to check the coolant level the last two weeks and it appears to be full ... I attempted to put some sealer in the Radiator itself and I barely got two spoon fulls in it... So a buddy of mine is telling me to dump the whole bottle of sealer in the overfill tank, and that if I needed to add coolant I should not be pouring it in the radiator itself, that todays cars you dump it in the overfill tank.. Now I have not had radiator problems since I had a 78 firebird, so I may be out of date but I just dont see why I should be dumping sealer in the overfill tank.. Of course the 78 Firebird I could see directly in the radiator when I removed the cap, This Ford Escort has a small neck that is angled away from the radiator whick makes it impossible to look in the radiator ... So what do u guys think the Dealio is LOL ????

Well I noticed the tick on the passenger side, well it seems to be.. Question on my EA82 SPFI. During idle sitting , no load what should the oil pressure indicate ? Mine is about 1/4 above 0 psi. Rev the motor and she goes up ... I dont have the car that long so that is why Im asking is all... Joe

Im afraid I have a new problem. On the way to work I have a 2 mile hill climb, well I find in order to keep up with traffic I sometimes must drop her down to 3rd gear and push the car to alomst 6000 rpm. I have only done this twice, as I dont like to tax the engine. Well today when I got to the other side of the mountain Im now hearing a constant tapping noise that will increase when pushing the gas. Put her in neutral and rev the engine and again tap or clicking sound will increase and decrease with the push of the pedal. My oil pressure when I first got the car was running at 45 psi as the norm, and at times only slightly higher with a increase of rpm. But now since the tap started is is running slightly below 45 psi. I have not noticed a power loss at this time. Any clue what I can check ? It's sucks as I just bought this car with 110K no rust and the cleanest motor I have ever seen. Im at work now and have a hour drive home and Im wondering should I get her towed or baby her home.
